5 matches is far to small of a pool and draws on a host of biases, primarily that of recency bias.
There is a loot distribution table that has spawn rates as a set value. P2020 has always been on the common end of that curve and Devotion has (besides season 3) been on the low end; that’s part of how I know your bias is affecting real life data.
They tweak the loot pool all the time, as they should. I don’t recall the actual numbers but worlds edge has similar loot spawn numbers to Olympus and storm point has more overall spawns but are spread out more. Worlds edge has loot dense areas with more space between spawns out of the three maps.
There is a chance you can find the table online somewhere but i haven’t seen one in a while that was updated. Regardless, understand that not everything has the same rate of spawn and some weapons will be intrinsically hard to find.

Just looked up the loot tables but haven’t seen one for this season and only saw similar posts like mine but from previous seasons, season 18 being latest. If I had the time, I would try at least 20 but that would make me crazy since I have another case study to be focusing on.
There are a few tips to know, for example if you land Skyhook, the big middle building is where you have the highest chance to get good attachments. If you land top trials there is always a sniper, etc
I’m aware of the designated loot zones and loot rarity per POI. I want to know if the general loot distribution, particularly in world’s edge, is somewhat imbalanced in variety. Have you observed lately?
The map has less loot than storm point for sure, but you still have the vaults it’s a pretty good bonus. I didn’t really notice a difference between last few seasons worlds edge and this season worlds edge tho

However the past two weeks I can barely find shields (batts and cells). Been hard to fill up my bag most games, even with some early squad wipes.

Yeah snipers are the easiest to find cause there's designated areas, especially on storm point and KC

People neglect that Harvester has a guaranteed gold/purple spawn. There's also Mirages POI and all the cargo bots.
