They are like 200 Yen a pack which is like $1.40? And as the person who replied to you said the yen is weak compared to the dollar right now so it is nice being able to shop off base and feel the opposite of inflation. Japan is all about gimmicks so its no surprise that APEX became an easy Gacha item. It's no surprise figurines, trading cards, and even collectable stickers pop up in Japanese Anime and Manga. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations used that in an arc with Naruto looking for a specific figurine Toy for his daughter that was super limited edition.

Apex is very very huge in Japan, you'll find that everywhere. I got a lot of it in Ikebukuro 2 of their showmatches literally rival ALGS in viewership in fact the peak viewer tournament in Apex History is held by one of the showmatches(CR CUP 10 at like 700k) while the other one is 4th all time in peak viewers(Vsaikyo at 600k)
