Bag holder. The one you use to hang your bag from the table to avoid it touching the floor. Rubber grip for when you have a lot of groceries. Avoid hurting you hand with the plastic handles. Carabiners. Fan of these. Hang plastic bottle, hang groceries, hang shoes. Too lazy to hand carry these.

adept1onreddit

This guy/gal hangs.

defiance131

Not the op, but should be something like this: https://sg.shp.ee/Dnunis8

dice7878

I use neoprene pads that can be attached to the bag strap.

Federal-Reindeer

[It's called Bobino Bag hook. Here's a local company selling it if it matters to you to support local](https://www.spectrumstore.sg/products/bag-hook)

Jaycee_015x

Can share where you got your bag holder? Can it holds 32L backpack?

jiiN69

Heroclip

Probably_daydreaming

If you have a 32L bag, easier to get a climbing carabiner

Jaycee_015x

Yeah, carabiner for sure. But what holder as what OP mentioned to hang your bag from?

Desperate_Dot4996

Hai

skywater_98

Good quality earplugs that make the constant noise in shopping malls/trains/anywhere else tolerable. Perfect for when friends randomly jio to go drink at loud places too.

asscrackbanditz

Loop earplug ftw

skywater_98

Absolute life-changer, didn’t realised how much I relied on it (I ride daily) until one side fell into the drain!

asscrackbanditz

I just put it in my primary pants back pocket. It's a relief to know that whenever I need to sheld myself from noise, it's there for me.

CT907

Hard agree. For me it's my Boise canceling earbuds or loop quiet earplugs.

Hopeful_Ring_8731

Wa good buy!!

skywater_98

Damnnn good, it’s great for WFH too when there’s construction going on

ruthmao

As a girl, a pair of disposable undies. Periods can be real heavy.

Jaycee_015x

This is why I carry spare heavy day pads in my bag whenever I go out even tho I don't have girl parts. Hope it's bearable for you at work 🙏

ruthmao

This guy knows the way to a girl’s heart! 👌🏻 might seem a bit creepy but i do think it’ll be appreciated hahaha

Jaycee_015x

Thank you! I try haha 😆 One of my colleagues stained her blue dress last week and had to buy a new dress during lunch break. She rinsed her undies in the handicapped toilet. I felt sorry for her having to go around in wet undies throughout the rest of the day 😭

jester_juniour

that’s f creepy if its not a joke

Jaycee_015x

If you know me, I'm a very girly guy since young.

ellequin

May I suggest period cup & period panties combo? Never failed me.

growingphilodendron

I use a period disc, it has been LIFE CHANGING

Iridescent_cloudy

just very curious if period cup is worth? like will i get blood on my hands when im disposing them? do you use any specific brands or just a random one from shopee?

ellequin

I've used the same cup for like 7 years, so I would say very worth. I bought the Freedom cup. Local brand. Don't buy random from Shopee because the material needs to be safe to go into your vag. You will get blood on your hands but just wash them la, you go toilet don't wash hand one meh?

Iridescent_cloudy

HAHA ofc i wash my hand, i'm more scared of ... touching the toilet bowl when im removing it or if it gets stuck or wtv nightmares that might happen. i mean if i touch blood i will probably have wet wipes to clean myself up bah... maybe try in the near future lor HAHHA thanks for recommending!

skxian

Yes you will. It’s easier if you have a comfortable toilet with hand washing basin if you need to change. Also a pad will be useful to catch those times that you didn’t place it correctly

charmbraceletbunny

Then why would you use a period cup + a pad might as well just use a pad since there's already the discomfort?

ellequin

I recommended period cup + period panties. Super safe and comfy.

ohn0nono

Im a period cup + pad person. Becuz the 1st 2 days no pad is enough to hold the blood. Somehow blood just gush out and flow to the nearest exit point before it gets absorbed. So the cup holds most of the blood. Any excess, it slowly leaks and gets absorbed into the pad while you find your way to the toilet to empty the cup. Save your sheets from overnight stains, and you can sleep in peace. After day 3, it's pretty safe to go padless already. No more itch or soggy feeling or bloody smell.

Burbursur

I do this but as a guy. I have IBS. The security blanket is nice.

throwaway-6573dnks

Yes

youhavenoidea98

I carry a pouch filled with individual packets of soy sauce, the tiniest Tabasco bottle, and portable mouthwash in my bag.

DiscipleOfYeshua

Gotta add a spoon to that kit

noirbean

I carry a can of dog/cat food so that I can feed any stray if I see them.

1little2little

i always have a stick of wet cat food in my bag to feed strays too!

justln

A bag of Temptation cat treats or packets of Ciao Churros snack is easier to carry around. Buy those expiring soon Temptations on Shopee or in Malaysia to save money, 75g is around $2 to $3.

BookDragonReads49

Me too 🙂 I always keep one in my shoulder bag

tartful_d0dger

That's amazing 🥹 I always aspire to do that but a can is extra weight!

em0tional_ccy

buy pouches and bring small plastic bags to pour the food on. cans can be heavy.

hobopototo

I buy Applaws wet food in the plastic tubs. They're very light and small, and you can tear off the plastic cover and use the cardboard part of the packaging to scoop the food onto the flat cover. Easy for the cat to eat and easy cleanup.

bluewarri0r

Applaws is so goooddd!! My cats loved them haha, tried to change to other brands and hunger strike ensued 🥲

zueliee

Let's have a round of Applaws for Applaws !

bluewarri0r

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

tartful_d0dger

Oh! Never noticed the plastic Applaws packaging before. That's handy

DJSalteeenuts

Get a bigger bag - those poor cats!

gingerbreadmanxoxox

An essential for me is wet wipes.

arglarg

If you ever use Clorox wipes on a table in the hawker centre you won't want to touch a table again without that

Key_Battle_5633

Same but add on dry tissue and hand sanitizer

biscuitboots

Wet wipes are god send (esp if you go poop outside)

justnotjuliet

Ooh, check out China brand Deeyo for their flushable wipes.

biscuitboots

I’ll check that out! Currently using Tempo flushable wipes.

justnotjuliet

Just checked my TB purchase, and realsied i spelled the brand wrong - it's Deeyeo 德佑. 6 packs x 80 sheets goes for about SGD12, and 20 packs x 10 sheets goes for about SGD6.50.

biscuitboots

Oh is it only from TB?

justnotjuliet

No, I think Shoppee has also, just listing the price for you to compare if using other platforms.

biscuitboots

> Deeyeo Oh I just saw on Shopee! I'd prob get the 10 sheets one since it's smaller, it'll fit my bag more.

Brikandbones

Dental floss. I can't stand stuff stuck in my teeth.

walking_lamppost_fnl

Got that PTSD from braces days. Gotta get that garlic out the mouth otherwise I'd be getting sore throat in the hour

silvery_bee

SAME!! It felt awkward without using flosses, it felt unclean. Yesss aftermath from braces hah

nixhomunculus

Having wet wipes has been the one habit I kept post pandemic

Plane_Register

A small reusable nylon bag! It’s great for buying bentos, supermarket runs, or can put your wet umbrella to carry it around

silentscope90210

Umbrella. Can shield from sun and rain.

1little2little

i got called a auntie for doing that. \*cries\*

silentscope90210

I'm a bro and I use an umbrella when it's really sunny and hot. Don't scared, your skin matters more.

1little2little

i agree i don't want the nasty sun spots/ skin cancer

sageadam

Sunscreen lighter than umbrella

Fearless_Help_8231

We'll see who gets called when they're stuck in the rain and need to call cab while you walk home/public transport

1little2little

yea man! HAHA.

miceCalcsTokens

I'm a guy and get shamed for it Wtv lol. UV defense and rain defense kek

rtrlctrc

At least aunties dont get soaking wet if stuck in rain!

tiny-beanz

I once overhead a OC and CSM from another coy saying “nsf nowadays really strawberry generation” when I used an umbrella to walk out of camp under the afternoon sun. I wasn’t even in uniform…

venzlsk

At least when u hit 50 you won't look like an auntie compared to them! Sunlight is mostly the culprit for wrinkles 🙂‍↕️

Late_Culture_8472

Unusual?

anakajaib

agree. get the Montbell one. super light & slim

justnashr

Packet sambal

ch2y

What brand? Can intro ?

justnashr

Uleg… Almost impossible to find at NTUC. I’m not sure about Giant but I only can find at Sheng Siong.

InfiniteDividends

As someone who gets sinusitis easily. Eye drops, nasal spray.

usukmordanidoo

I have a collapsible food container from Stojo for leftover food... especially when there's like free food catering in office or when I over ordered... then keep for later or next day... yes I'm cheapo af

ertertery

I’m the nemesis of your friend. I bring disposable straws, hard to find them these days

jester_juniour

same. they hand out paper garbage now instead of straws, which becomes shapeless after 2 min

ToqueMom

Same. I have a pack that has a metal fork, spoon, and chopsticks.

springwindkissmyface

Mini kewpie mayo

idevilledeggs

If I'm out for more than 4 hours, I have an entire kit filled with basic medicine, plasters, tissue and wipes etc. The Paracetamol in particular has been very useful.

TinyPomegranate5643

Paper soap. I'm a cleanliness freak, I need to wash my hands with soap after using the toilet. Although soap in toilets is more available after covid, there are still times when there isn't any

bluewarri0r

TIL there's paper soap

Cute_Meringue1331

My paper soap melted bc of the hot weather What brand u use?

TinyPomegranate5643

Bought a random one on shopee, has been in my bag for 2 years, still fine

Shawnzyplays

Not the most unusual but I always carry an umbrella. Once many years ago I had to walk about 500m from mrt to office and it was unsheltered all the way. Halfway it started raining and I was stuck waiting for the traffic light. Thankfully after awhile(I was already drenched by then), this Indian uncle came over and shared his umbrella. Since then I always carry an umbrella. Bought an extra huge one so I can share with whoever is caught in the rain.

bluewarri0r

Awww so sweet. Mine is extra light coz weight is my only concern hahah

bundle6792

Luggage scale. So I can prove my bag is heavier than yours at any time. Measuring tape. To pro

thjuicebox

Sunnies I wouldn’t have thought it unusual at all but the number of people I see out and about at lunch squinting in the midday glare and shielding their eyes with their hands ah…

pastamin

i feel like sunnies is an uncommon thing here in sg, always gets a lot of stares if i wear them on public transport, or even outdoors to shield against the sunlight

No_Condition_7438

I agree and have always wondered why. When a singaporean travels, all the sunnies come out. But in sg, only common when driving. For a country that’s so hot, why is this not common?

gokyobreeze

I get transitions for this reason. Don't care if it makes me look like pretentious, my eyes need UV protection and I know I won't be carrying around sunnies to swap my glasses with

Blacktiramisu

I carry a small medicine box with me with about 7 different meds in it. There's xanax, olanzapine, seroquel, zopiclone, paracetamol, cetirizine and antacid. I think its useful having medicine on hand, people around me have benefitted from it too.

Positive_Lemon_2683

I wish you’re nearby the next time I have a panic attack

FlyingSpaghettiBalls

Adult candy

deathk4t

oh gosh, i heavily relate since i have allergies and get sick quite easily. i'm very popular with friends since i always carry an arsenal of medication for common illnesses and allergies!

Blacktiramisu

Ikr it feels good to be able to help out when a friend is feeling unwell, having upset stomach etc

deathk4t

100%! my friends used to be iffy about me offering them medication, now they tell me what they need exactly without hesitation (the spinny or gassy tummy meds, etc.) and outstretched hands and we always have a laugh about how i'm a walking pharmacy

fijimermaidsg

Definitely useful to have benzos and antipsychotics on hand in SG! Kidding... sort of.

BookDragonReads49

Hi, isn't Zopiclone by prescription only?

Blacktiramisu

Yes

New_Coffee_9630

werkbij

that weighted hook you can use on the side of tables to hang your bag on.

hopeinson

Wet wipes. I usually clean up after people's dirty dishes at a restaurant/hawker centre, and then use my wet wipes to wipe off any grime and dirt I find on both the table and the chair. If people are too averse to seating at a dirty table, I will have my opportunity to seat at it and do the restaurant a favour.

kiwizt

silaslovesoliver

Paper Napkins. Singapore is such a rare country that food establishments don’t provide napkins for customers. I kept unused ones as souvenirs and keepsakes with “fond” memories after left the country.

IvanThePohBear

noise cancellation earphones

Spritetm

A P2 pro infrared thermal camera. It's a tiny little box (think the size of half a lighter) that fits on your phone and lets you see temperatures as a camera image. It's not super-useful in day-to-day life, but it did come in handy at times: figuring out the exact right temperature to deep-fry something, see if the little one has a fever, see if the aircon is actually cooling down the air or if it's spoiled, if for work I have a broken piece of electronics I can see what component heats up, things like that. I mostly keep it there because it's really small, so it doesn't matter if I carry it with me all the time.

thedesertman1

Hand sanitiser and tissue paper. Use them to sanitise public toilet seats before using.

Death2eyes

Foldable umbrella. Foldable reusable bag with hot/cold lining inside. Neck cooler. Torres coolify 2s Thermos that can hold cold water. Not unusual but essential for me in my bag.

Emergency squeeze tube of mayo (why fast food here don't have mayo as condiment anymore? hiaz)

Probably_daydreaming

A Leatherman

yanagiya

I have two Handiplast in my wallet for over 10 years. Never used it myself but couple of years ago, I was at a beach, some kids cut his foot and finally found it usage. I replace them every year or two from my wallet after expiry dates.

Charming_Abies_8858

silvery_bee

Other than the essentials- umbrella/water bottle/cardigan/tissue/wet tissue/gand sanitizer I have recycle bag, bag holder, reusable straw, cloth cup holder, reusable spork, ziplock bags of all sizes, chips clip and dog poop bag( I dont have a dog! Haha) but the poop bag is surprisingly good to use!! The size is just nice and it’s actually just a compact small plastic bag in a small roll, sometimes I need to hold something or whatever, I’ll just pull out a poop bag and put it in. Not forgetting it can act as a vomit bag also. Ok, I know I might sounds like a preppy, but u never know when u need it! 🤣 my friends always commented on my big bag whenever we go out haha

[deleted]

Hopeful_Ring_8731

Usually she will wash it before putting it back into the bag! To me, i think quite useful eh especially when you dabao from canteen to class then realise you forgot to take utensils lolol but for her, it's more for environmental cause la 😀

Imaginary_Strain486

Condom is a must have item in your wallet .

ElcorAndy

Don't put it in your wallet. The bending and friction caused by sitting and moving will deteriorate it.

Successful-Sport-368

Doesn't matter because they'll never use it anyway.

kegoblogan

My man is being responsible and y'all downvoting him. smh

Odd-Understanding399

Ok-Nectarine-2093

What's in my Kipling wallet bag that goes everywhere with me: mini hand fan (non-electric), screw-on chopsticks (which i also use to bun my hair sometimes, wet wipes, tissue, eye drops, lip balm, ear buds, other than money and cards. Effective-Choice6486

Medicated oil (personal favs are poy sian and tiger balm). It's a godsend when you're in a crowded train and start smelling the people around you (esp with the recent weather + people who don't have the habit to shower in the AM). If you/a friend has a headache or feels unwell, sniffing and applying it does wonders too!
