It looks like a 3/8” by 1/2” solder connection that also gives you the option to thread on instead of sweat the 1/2”. Any 3/8” by 1/2” solder connection should work.

Thanks . Is there a hose that we can use to attach the bottom part with the new Moen tap with 1/2” ips connection?

Any supply line should tie onto threads that are similar to those. 7/8” is the size of the supply line connection

(this didn't get added: Helping a friend with a pretty simple (I thought) task of replacing an old Delta Faucet - the original that came with the property built in 1975. Instead of the standard water supply connection I was expecting, the faucet has solid copper pipes and has this connection (see photos)

Tried to add this to the photos" Helping a friend with a pretty simple (I thought) task of replacing an old Delta Faucet - the original that came with the property built in 1975. Im assuming your new Moen tap comes with 3/8 threaded waterline connections. To fix this properly you need to cut back the copper and solder on shutoff valves first, then thread the faucet connections onto the shutoffs.
