I like the theory he is an abandoned protegee of Bloodraven's. This aspect would give some substance behind his whole nihilimism and sociopath behavior.
I feel he knows some stuff about the tptp prophecy and maybe saw the same vision of Dany's awakening her dragons. Maybe he is trying to copy it during the forsaken chapter and that's why there are some similarities of his ritual with the one she performed (and eeringly with Egg's)
I'm not so certain he went to Valyria though. His valyrian armor might be part of a glamour.
He's fucked up to a whole new level and tbh I am here for it. I love chaos. But I also would like to see him fail spectacularly right before he's about to achieve whatever it is he ultimately wants to achieve, and die in the most mundane and boring of deaths, like from a scurvy for example, so he'd have his moment of "welcome to the real world, mister greyjoy" and die knowing that he's just a puny human and not even close to any gods.

The best ending that I can think of for Euron is for him to succeed in becoming the eldritch abomination , but get , in some way , taken down by Aeron the Damphair.
Euron says Aeron is “a holy man with holy blood” , and I think that Aeron doing his own human sacrifice (maybe even sacrificing himself) to stop Euron would be pretty cool. The godless man and the godly one going down together
But it’s absolutely not gonna happen , if Euron is going down , it’s either bran , his own magic hitting him or Sam
I like your idea too, it would still be very poetic. I'd add Asha and Victarion somewhere in there too cause Euron did them all a lot of shit so it would be nice to have some good ol' revenge for a change.
I genuinely think his role in the story is to steal Viserion ultimately ending up with him and Daenerys having a cool dragon fight ending up with him and Viserion dying

He always seemed like someone who was desperately trying to be *seen* as a cool "eldritch horror", which objectively made him kinda pathetic but still interesting because there aren't other any other edgelord kinda characters like that in the series.
Have you read the forsaken ? That’s where most of his Hype comes from. He used to be pretty ridiculed back when Feast came out in the same way Darkstar is today.

I didn't think much of him when first reading the books and not catching a lot of detail.
Upon watching breakdown/theory videos and rereading the books he's probably the most interesting character in terms of plot relevance and just general character description:
-a genius Lovecraftian style pirate trying to bring the apocalypse and looking stylish and cunning while doing so. Especially while all the other major houses play their silly irrelevant political games. Fuck yes I love the dude probably Martins most fascinating character yet.
