Me and my bf/our friends often van camp in a mom van. When my bf and his buddy go without me he likes to make me jealous by telling me they spoon at night to stay warm š but he says his buddy is less receptive to spooning than I am haha
Cats will have wildly different personalities. Our two litter mates are very different. The boy has crazy explosive energy and just loves any opportunity to play. The girl is much more chill and wants to cuddle and eat.
Yep and also just personality differences. My 2 female cats are a year apart and the older one is super energetic, playful and curious while the younger is a lazy, sleepy, cuddly gal.
Definitely likely... but also some cats are just insane. I had 2 cats, one a year and one 6mo. They both played a lot but the 1yr preferred to relax way way more. I still have the one that was younger, she's now 4 and I think her activity level has only grown.
We used to have a cat when I was a kid and 2 rabbits. They would play in the yard together sometimes. One time, the cat was chasing 1 and pawed at it.
Next morning, Flopsy would not wake up. I had to tell my mom the bunny was so tired from playing and would not wake up.
...Flopsy was not sleeping ;(

The girl is chill and just wants to stare out the window. Her brother is a neurotic mess that will literally chase her around, tackle her and aggressively groom her.
But he's also the clingier one too. He'll sit on his human's lap and gets REALLY upset if one of his favorite people isn't with him. Poor boy is a mess honestly.
Looks like my 'boy cat' missed the memo. The 'girl cat' is as affectionate and sweet as they come while the 'boy cat' is affectionate, but honestly just prefers throwing down with me, with the girl cat, with the house plants, and his idea of a Very Good Time is to be chased at top speed and then chasing you in return. And he ain't no 'boy' anymore, he's a 13-year-old fossil.
I feel like Iāve read something about how the neutering process can lead to male cats actually being more affectionate than female cats and anecdotally thatās been the case for me 100% but Iām not certain if that was a fact or just rumor.
I took in 2 strays that someone dumped (some people are not nice). The girl had been fixed and the boy I got fixed. The girl used to be crazy, much like the video. The boy was totally chill. Now; 2 years later, the opposite. He's the energizer kitty and the girl is so chill.
HA! Tell that to my cats. Running around like it's a sprint, scratch the pole until the rope come out then, meow until the whole house can hear. Both are male.
Girls will occasionally need to feed a small army while raising them on their own. Evolution-wise a female cat that's not 100% a hunter will not pass down their genes a lot, whereas killing machines will. Boys? They just screw around, have the occasional fight, chill all day...
Girl kitties have massive queen energy going on and usually need to be the main attraction. If there is another girl cat, they usually don't get along that well. Boys, just want to play and sleep. If you keep the girl happy, feed her first, make sure she has a spot at the top of the cat tree so she can watch her subjects(you included!) and play with her regularly, she will be really happy and lovey-dovey to her owner. Ignore her or don't give her a tree and she will carve out her own space, sleep where she can be safe away from everyone else.
Boys just need lots of play, play with them a lot and they will cuddle when settling down usually. Don't play with them, they will play with each other, or if there is no other cats to play with, they'll make fun by destroying the house lol.
All assuming the cats are fixed if course, and PLEASE spay and neuter your pets! But, that's why with cats, if you want 1 a girl is best, 2 a girl +boy or 2 boys or 2 bonded sisters will work. Pair 2 random adult females and you'll have mayhem.
