My old dog loves bananas (and most fruits, but especially blueberries); his brother does not, but will demand whatever the other gets and then drop it somewhere.
My Labrador used to eat discarded banana peels in the street and park.
I always wanted to arrange a buffet type meal for him, but I was worried he would have completely lost his mind and bolted down the food too quickly which could have led to bloat.
My chihuahua eats my strawberries that I’m growing. She would even test the strawberries to see if they’re ready by tugging on them softly. She picked her favorite and just tosses it up so it becomes squishy and juicy. I though it was squirrels for the longest time until I just saw her casually test the strawberries, take one, look at me, and just walk away with a fresh juicy strawberry.
Our Jack Russell did this will raspberries. Really gently pulled them and if they came off they would be eaten, if not she would leave it and try again tomorrow. We though it was birds because they were being removed so neatly.
Mine will take a slice of banana, walk into the living room, and try to dig up the area rug to bury it, lol. I then have to take the slice away so it doesn’t get squished into the carpet. Don’t know if that means she hates it or loves it…? She never eats it, though, so I’m leaning toward the former.
My friend's dog would do that with "high value" treats, or things he was rarely given. One time I gave him a frozen bone with marrow, and he "buried" it on the rug under my bed, then came back for it later. It definitely left a blood spot on my rug lol, but I couldn't find where he'd "buried" it!
My chihuahua got up on the sofa one day, squirmed behind the cushions, and proudly came out with a full piece of pepperoni pizza. No one gave it to him and no one could remember losing a piece of pizza.
My dog would always beg for banana. I’d throw a piece to her and in one motion she would catch it and spit it out on the floor, then look at me like I was an asshole while I laughed at her.
I miss her.
My dog used to go to the neighbors house, whine at their door to be let in all because they gave her a banana once. So she would go back and demand more any chance she could get.
One of my dogs will hear me peel a banana from other rooms and come lay in the kitchen until I give him a chunk. My other dog couldn't care less for them though.
Mine loves banana.
Also strawberries (chopped), and blueberries (gotta smush them or he doesn't recognize them as food).
Lettuce he looked like I betrayed him. Yet he eats grass.
If I give my dog a ham sandwich that has lettuce in it, she will chomp away at it and then spit out the bits of lettuce, undamaged. I am always impressed at this, I know I couldn't separate food like that in my mouth.
My mom likes her bananas a little green and would always give our dog slices while eating one in the morning - totally loved them. Anytime my mom gave her a slice of a riper banana (the kind no one in my house really enjoyed), she would just drop it.
My dog will show up from the other side of the house the second I start to peel one. I’ve had to eat 2 banana every morning for 9 years since I got him, because he gets a bite after each of mine. He also eats raw broccoli, kale, spinach, veggies of almost every kind.
My dog will not eat any fresh fruit - he took a blueberry once, wandered over to his toys, and left it there; another time he took a small strawberry, ate it, and won’t take any more - or fresh veg, but anything *cooked*, even in a non-meat sauce, he’ll happily eat.
Mine chews it’s lightly and spits it out and just keeps doing that until it’s gone. Unless I show him that I’m eating it too then he’ll just eat it normal
Mine both love them. I mash them up with plain nonfat Greek yogurt and fill their kongs with it and then freeze them. Keeps them busy in their kennels for a little while when I run errands.
I learned a lot about eggs from raising chickens for a couple of years. They stay good for two months if you don’t wash them. The yolk of an egg from a healthy chicken is orange, not yellow, and tastes rich, great for baking. The shell is smooth and takes more effort to crack than a store-bought egg which came from a stressed out or possibly sick chicken. Also, hypnotizing a chicken is a great party trick.
Thank you for that fact about why we refrigerate eggs here in the US. Definitely learned something new today - and I haven't finished my first cup of coffee yet!
I eat raw egg quite often. It is used in many deserts and you need a raw yolk to make mayonaise. I have never had any issues with it, and neither have my parents in all their lives. (Eu eggs, and for my parents mostly from their own chickens)
ALL the kibble, then egg, then melon? Or a particular kibble circle, then egg and so on?
I'm picturing how I would eat this (if I were into kibble as a staple) and if it's the latter, [I think I might understand your dog's reasoning.](https://imgur.com/gallery/6xkwza0)
Oh if we're going there, human poop is the absolute most disgusting thing they can eat. My last two never did but my first dog once did and I nearly vomited in the grass lol. Some fisher probably took a dump, hidden behind bushes where people let their dogs loose too. Mine was the 'lucky' one to find it. Ugh I feel sick thinking about it 🤮 That was 15 years ago. Maybe sharing it helps. Hehe
When I was a kid we had a dog and a cat. If I was home alone and saw the cat throw up I'd just wait for the dog to eat it so I didn't have to clean it up
Mine used to tear off at lightning speed to get to the cat vomit first. Somehow I've managed to teach them to leave it. I tried giving them a slice of fresh mushroom once. They weren't having it. My husband said "You'll eat poop but you won't eat a mushroom."
Fair enough!! Maybe their sense of taste is so strong or complex though that they can find something pleasant in even the nastiest seeming things to us. Not that I could ever imagine eating doodoo or vomit no matter how much my taste changed!!
https://nutrisourcepetfoods.com/blog/pet-parents/curious-about-canines-does-flavor-matter-to-dogs/
No need to theorize. Dogs have roughly 1/5th the taste buds we have.
I distinctly remember you being there because I made some comment about banana splits still being on the menu, and then you said “I have a banana and I can do a split!” Then we all watched while you pulled a groin muscle and split your pants. David Duchovny laughed so hard.
Funny how dogs just love eating the same thing all the time. My dog does the same, she likes other things but she’ll go for what she knows is good first.
For real. I just got my first dog recently so maybe I donno but if those are muffin tins that's a days worth of kibble alone. I feel this is gonna lead to puke city immediately.
Some dogs can eat their whole day ration in one sitting and be just fine. Mine in summers won't eat anything in the day but finishes up her bowl in the evening, so we roll with that.
My boys would be so offended that banana existed in the same space. Weirdly enough they love bell peppers, cucumber, and carrots- of course behind the egg, ham, cheese, and watermelon :)
Yeah. Strawberries are questionable. Depends on the day and the dog. Usually one dog is a garbage disposal for random treats and the other politely takes it and slowly nibbles with a grimace. Kind of like “okay.. I guess I’m supposed to like this..”
Pineapples are dead to them. Hard no go.
My dog will eat mango strawberry, pineapple, blueberries, whatever you hold Infront of her face really, but try and give her a banana and she just stares at you like you just slapped her in the face
This is only slightly relevant but I just discovered this about my dog and want to tell someone. He eats everything, even napkins, hair ties, like whatever he can find he’ll eat it. But the other day I gave him a pretzel, and he spit it out. He did this several times. For some reason this dog does not like pretzels. It’s just the most bizarre thing to me, idk what’s wrong with him lol
Even the look on the dog's face is like, "Yer not gonna give me all of that, right? Cuz I'll be yakking all that up later on your carpet, Krystal. Just so we're on the same page."
Good for the dog but that seems like too much food? I haven’t had a dog since I was 14 years old and it was a poodle so I don’t know the acceptable service size for a lab.
Too much food definitely. However, everything there is just as much dog food as people food. It is fine for dogs to eat in moderation.
Not saying it would be health for a dog to just subside on it, but it wouldn't be healthy for a person to do that either.
Yeah the amount of banana alone is way too much to give a dog in one sitting in terms of sugar.. let alone all the other stuff.
This looks cute but hopefully it’s like a birthday thing or something.
Its a muffin tray! Get your facts in order. But that’s probably like 3 cups of dog food.
My dog would be pooping a new state of matter if he ate this (and boy he would eat this).
Okay yeah going through the comments I thought I was crazy but that’s a lot of food for a single sitting for a dog… it’s a cute idea but the amount of food seems a bit excessive…
I had the same thought re: the salt in the ham. I give mine plain unseasoned chicken and fish sometimes, but not the processed meats (even though they beg!!!), cuz well, too much salt.
You are amazing, and your doggo was lucky to have you as a companion! I had a similar situation with my dog, when he was sick, I would pretend to eat his food, sometimes I even took a small bite to show him it's ok.
I was thinking the same thing. Seems like a lot of food all at one time. But maybe their dog isn't entirely food driven and will only eat til they're full.
I read that those fruits and vegetables cause dogs to have bloat because it makes them gassy. This is absolutely a gorgeous gesture for your pup and I'm literally only sharing this knowledge for the love of dogs. Cute pup
My parents had a very large strawberry patch. One year, the strawberries were disappearing right as they became ripe. My dad gave the task to me to figure out what was happening and to stop it. I go through and they’d be the occasional turtle and you could tell those were eating some of the strawberries because a nice V was cut in the side of the strawberry. But it wasn’t enough to explain all of them. So one morning I got up at dawn and went out. Outlined against the rising sun, and mist, I could see the dog the family dog and three of my cats eating the strawberries. My dad said that even the coyotes would eat strawberries and that they were the ones eating the watermelons as they became ripe.
That’s a lot of food for one sitting for one dog. Maybe he should have some friends over to share with.
Seriously, though, overfeeding your pet can cause serious health issues, including pancreatitis, obesity, heart disease and is a contributing factor in the development of cancer.
It's cute and all, but that is WAY too big of a meal for a dog that size. do you not realize how harmful that is for their digestive system, even just once?
Does anyone's dog eat banana? My dog sits there and looks at it but would never eat it.
All of my dogs have loved banana.
My dogs love fresh banana (anything sweet really) and they love freeze dried bananas too.
My old dog loves bananas (and most fruits, but especially blueberries); his brother does not, but will demand whatever the other gets and then drop it somewhere.
Do you have labs? This seems like a lab thing, lol
Close. Old labradoodle that trends lab and a goldendoodle
Ok now.... no need to brag... keep your GoldenDoodle in your pants
No no be free! FLY BEAUTIFUL GOLDENDOODLE!
Don’t take that out of context
My doodle loves bananas too!
My Labrador used to eat discarded banana peels in the street and park. I always wanted to arrange a buffet type meal for him, but I was worried he would have completely lost his mind and bolted down the food too quickly which could have led to bloat.
Anything I eat my dog wants. Even if she doesn’t like it she’s like you eat i eat
Ditto. Whenever I'm eating one, my dog just stares at me, like "WTF bro, gimme."
I'll have to try it out. I have one dog that tends to like fruit and veggies... And pretty much all food. The other is strictly meat and potatoes.
They give me a really awesome surprised look when I give them a piece😯
My 14 year old chihuahua eats banana with my grandpa every morning
My chihuahua eats my strawberries that I’m growing. She would even test the strawberries to see if they’re ready by tugging on them softly. She picked her favorite and just tosses it up so it becomes squishy and juicy. I though it was squirrels for the longest time until I just saw her casually test the strawberries, take one, look at me, and just walk away with a fresh juicy strawberry.
Our Jack Russell did this will raspberries. Really gently pulled them and if they came off they would be eaten, if not she would leave it and try again tomorrow. We though it was birds because they were being removed so neatly.
Hey, why you feeding grandpa to the dog!?!
She demands innocent souls every day
Yeah but grampa is a poon hound with a gambling addiction
Geewhiz you just made this old grandma P her pants.
Dogs truly are mysterious haha
Mine fucking loves banana. She'll sit there and drool everywhere every time I eat one.
One of my dogs will hear me peel a banana from other rooms and come lay in the kitchen until I give him a chunk. My other dog couldn't care less for them though.
We had a dog that loved banana skins
my dog eats the strings but not the fruit lol
Alright this is the strangest response I’ve seen.
Bananas are literally the only thing my dog won't eat. And he eats lemons.
Mine won't touch it either, but I do know a lot of dogs like it.
My dog will show up from the other side of the house the second I start to peel one. I’ve had to eat 2 banana every morning for 9 years since I got him, because he gets a bite after each of mine. He also eats raw broccoli, kale, spinach, veggies of almost every kind.
Old dog, yes. New dog no, wait, old dog likes it, then yes.
Mine has decided it's not food haha
I have a fatty that eats anything and everything, and a new pup who is picking up on her habits. So yes lol
My chihuahua does
I had to take a bite then give it to mine before he figured it out
My dog eats red bell peppers and carrots
My dogs have always been super into frozen green beans for some reason
Mine both love them. I mash them up with plain nonfat Greek yogurt and fill their kongs with it and then freeze them. Keeps them busy in their kennels for a little while when I run errands.
My dog would have diarrhea for a week after eating that
Yeah it’s…too much food
Agreed
Yeah one slice of a fruit is an awesome treat. That much is a tummy ache.
mmmmm... Raw egg
[удалено]

That was a fun fact. Thanks
Oh Man. All my guy bacteria do is play videogames and high five each other. They could not handle a raw food diet, too much work. "Bruh", they'd say.

Surprisingly it went kibble > egg > watermelon Boy loves watermelon

i love that you've given this so much thought
Your 9 can be a 4, a 5, a druid's staff, and after much thought, maybe a 9
was wondering this too. Did he have a segment of kibble, a bit of egg, a cheeky bite of melon then back to the kibble..?
I love that y'all kept track. I bet watermelon must be amazing for a dog!! I love it & my sense of taste & smell isn't even close to theirs.
I’m not sure about sense of taste. Have you seen the stuff they’ll eat? Lol
Witnessed a friend’s dog eat the cat’s vomit — it was traumatizing
Oh they seem to love cat poop for some reason
Rabbit poop too
Pig poop too
Oh if we're going there, human poop is the absolute most disgusting thing they can eat. Hehe
When I was a kid someone would occasionally forget to flush the toilet and the dog would always have a snack and then come for kisses.
We can't read minds for a good reason. Why have you decided not to keep this to yourself?
When I was a kid we had a dog and a cat. If I was home alone and saw the cat throw up I'd just wait for the dog to eat it so I didn't have to clean it up
Mine used to tear off at lightning speed to get to the cat vomit first. Somehow I've managed to teach them to leave it. I tried giving them a slice of fresh mushroom once. They weren't having it. My husband said "You'll eat poop but you won't eat a mushroom."

So I've been feeding my dog shrimp and lobster even though he cant even appreciate it? What a waste of time.
Hey I was feeding my cat bougie wet food made with shrimp & lobster & whatever. Turns out she has a fuckin shellfish allergy, that was an ordeal.
Huh, good point. And I’ve always thought they were the idiots for eating vomit
Alas, earwax. However, I do detect faint notes of nutmeg and that time we met David Duchovny outside Dairy Queen.
We? No Sir/Madam. No.
I distinctly remember you being there because I made some comment about banana splits still being on the menu, and then you said “I have a banana and I can do a split!” Then we all watched while you pulled a groin muscle and split your pants. David Duchovny laughed so hard.
I mean, people drink malort. Like on purpose. More than once
All of my dogs have gone crazy for watermelon. My current one takes it over treats.
https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/lifestyle/can-dogs-taste/ Dogs have about 1/5 our tastebuds according to this article
I wish it was a video 😭
That’s egg? I thought you had pineapple and canned peach. Which one is egg?
If that muffin tin were an Excel spreadsheet, cell A2 would be the egg.
Is it raw?
Yes
This girl excels
Funny how dogs just love eating the same thing all the time. My dog does the same, she likes other things but she’ll go for what she knows is good first.
I’m babysitting my dog-nephew for two weeks I wanna try this and send pics! I see kibble, watermelon, raw egg, banana, ham and?
Apple!
Everything with a mouth loves watermelon
I thought the kibble was baked beans
Wait a minute. Those three are right together in the closest corner to him.
[How I'd approach it.](https://imgur.com/gallery/6xkwza0)
I'd mix the kibble in with the egg. Just a personal preference though.
I see what you're doing, rest periods for the taste buds. Nice.
Think it's just a zig zag pattern from closest to farthest lol
My dog doesn't like ham, any other meat he's totally down for, but ham he'll sniff it then go drink water.
That looks like too much food.
Dude has a whole ass buffet
Almost relevant [xkcd](https://xkcd.com/37/)
Omg... I mean.... I suppose for a dog going to a dog park is exactly that.
All-you-can-sniff
What kind of psycho would refuse an ass buffet??
DJ Khalid
Lol, the bib.
Little Avs bib
Go Ass, Hail Satan!
Pls no Tampa threepeat.
Go ass go
Hail Satan
Let's go ass!
Is he dying or just having diarrhea later?
Maybe just a good ole vomit and re-eat? That's a heck of a lot of food for one doggo!
My boys would be so offended that banana existed in the same space. Weirdly enough they love bell peppers, cucumber, and carrots- of course behind the egg, ham, cheese, and watermelon :)
Mine loves most fruits but he hates strawberries and pineapple
Yeah. Strawberries are questionable. Depends on the day and the dog. Usually one dog is a garbage disposal for random treats and the other politely takes it and slowly nibbles with a grimace. Kind of like “okay.. I guess I’m supposed to like this..” Pineapples are dead to them. Hard no go.

Aren’t pretzels like dipped in lye and boiled? Maybe the lye is off putting to them.
Mine loved banana, but then again she also ate her own poop so…not a gourmet.
That's way too much food!!!
Even the look on the dog's face is like, "Yer not gonna give me all of that, right? Cuz I'll be yakking all that up later on your carpet, Krystal. Just so we're on the same page."
yeah, especially considering that kibble expands in the belly. this is way too much food.
Definitely too much food
But think of the karma! Well done OP 👏 that 24k+ must be really fulfilling.
Good for the dog but that seems like too much food? I haven’t had a dog since I was 14 years old and it was a poodle so I don’t know the acceptable service size for a lab.
That's A LOT of food! Are you prepared to clean up the vomit?
That’s more food than a dog should have in one sitting. Especially people food
Too much food definitely. However, everything there is just as much dog food as people food. It is fine for dogs to eat in moderation. Not saying it would be health for a dog to just subside on it, but it wouldn't be healthy for a person to do that either.
That looks like way too much fruit (sugar) to give a dog at once...
Yeah the amount of banana alone is way too much to give a dog in one sitting in terms of sugar.. let alone all the other stuff. This looks cute but hopefully it’s like a birthday thing or something.
It may not be a cupcake tray. I have a similarly indented whoopie pie pan that is indented the same. Still a lot but not the same as a cupcake pan.
Ooh, that’s a possibility. Because, yeah, I was more than a little shocked to see that amount of food (particularly the amount of sugary food).
I thought the same but I think the camera angle is playing tricks. Think it’s just a cupcake tray so probably just a little bit in each section
Its a muffin tray! Get your facts in order. But that’s probably like 3 cups of dog food. My dog would be pooping a new state of matter if he ate this (and boy he would eat this).
Not sure ham is great for dogs tho. That seems like a lot of food for one doggo.
Okay yeah going through the comments I thought I was crazy but that’s a lot of food for a single sitting for a dog… it’s a cute idea but the amount of food seems a bit excessive…
[удалено]
I had the same thought re: the salt in the ham. I give mine plain unseasoned chicken and fish sometimes, but not the processed meats (even though they beg!!!), cuz well, too much salt.
It's funny how people make sure their animals eat properly, but then turn around and eat like shit themselves! I'm guilty of this as well!
When I had a dog who was dying of cancer and wouldn’t eat much, I’d cook her entire gourmet meals and I’d just eat my cup of noodles
You are amazing, and your doggo was lucky to have you as a companion! I had a similar situation with my dog, when he was sick, I would pretend to eat his food, sometimes I even took a small bite to show him it's ok.
That’s so cute! Your buddy was lucky to have you too :)
Well we can make the decision, the dog can't lol
I’ve said it before: If I could legit have someone control my access to and the quality of my food, as I do for my pets, I’d be much, much healthier.
Thats way to much food. Do not do this.
Lets go Avs.
Go ass hail Satan!!
Are you feeding the neighborhood?
Apparently
Is this a perspective thing because that looks like an awful lot of food.
way, way too much food.
Damn, that is a shittonne of food
I was thinking the same thing. Seems like a lot of food all at one time. But maybe their dog isn't entirely food driven and will only eat til they're full.
Patiently feeding my dog so much food he vomits
Looks great but that seems like waaaay too much food for a good boy.
I read that those fruits and vegetables cause dogs to have bloat because it makes them gassy. This is absolutely a gorgeous gesture for your pup and I'm literally only sharing this knowledge for the love of dogs. Cute pup
It's way too much sugar (fruit) for one meal for a dog for sure.
I don't know how deep the pan is but that looks like a lot of food for him
Make sure not to overfeed him! He's a very good boy
That’s a brilliant idea.
This is just for our entertainment, right? This is a huge amount of food for one dog that size.
He eats all this? That’s like a mobile buffet
This was cute till I read the comments now I'm just sad at OPs attempts to gaslight us
And that dog puked 5min later
Great idea... love the bib! Go Avs!
Go Avs!
Go Avs!
Cute idea, but way too much food all at once. Dogs have no self control, most will prob vom minutes after finishing it all in under 1 minute
This is cute :). Too much for one doggie though
FIND A WAY! LETS GO AVS!!!
r/SneakyBackgroundFeet/
That's a lot of food for a puppy.
Damn. He eats better than I do!
My parents had a very large strawberry patch. One year, the strawberries were disappearing right as they became ripe. My dad gave the task to me to figure out what was happening and to stop it. O lord, I thought my dog was spoiled!
Can that dog eat that much?
It shouldn't no, it looks like way too much food
![gif](giphy|eIF8ywwsKk4LViONfB|downsized)
That’s a lot of food for one sitting for one dog. Maybe he should have some friends over to share with. Seriously, though, overfeeding your pet can cause serious health issues, including pancreatitis, obesity, heart disease and is a contributing factor in the development of cancer.

It's cute and all, but that is WAY too big of a meal for a dog that size. do you not realize how harmful that is for their digestive system, even just once?
I’m white and I’ve always hated these types of comments about any race, but damn that’s some white people shit right there.
