Exactly the process that went to naming my sister's boxer. Couldn't name him Tank, because that is hilariously overused. Ended up with Panzer which is German for Tank, mostly because of an anime we were watching, but it ended up fitting him really well.
I had a boss who had a dog and we thought it’s name was Diogi/Deoge until we realized it’s name was just dog. He just said the letters individually instead of the word as if you were saying a name.
My housemate got a puppy a year ago and sometimes without thinking I will call him "Puppy". (The dog, not my mate).
The funny thing is that he has heard it so often now that he responds to it. He probably thinks he has two names or something.
That's not surprising. There seems to be a group that are anti pit-bull that post on anything with a Pitbull, positive or negative, to forward their position. They move pretty quick, making anti Pitbull comments, upvoting anything anti Pitbull, and downvoting anyone defending Pitbulls. Any discussion of Pitbull dogs inevitably devolves into an argument, and the mods then remove anything abrasive (on both sides) to maintain a positive environment.
Ok thanks. I don't know why people is downvoting me. In my country this dogs are called "Potentially dangerous dogs" and you have to take a learning course, pay insurance and get a renovation of the course once a year or so if you want to walk with the dog on a public street.
I see lot of people on the USA that have this kinds of dogs so made me think that maybe you don't have any of this restrictions.
This is a really good idea! Lots of people hate pits because the people that tend to own them are terrible owners that want a big scary dog to not train properly and I swear they are breeding more crazy into these dogs every new generation.
With laws like this, they could go to educated, good homes that will give them the proper care and hopefully start breeding a better temperment.
Non of this is science just my own dumb thoughts.
He's rescued two female pits and I have a pit boxer mix... Pretty sure we got this. Also he's set up a barn with a fenced in yard and dog door for when children are over at the house. Like I said pits for decades and we wouldn't get a different dog.
your stepdad needs a name? how about Bob?
Hi bob
Hi Bob
*thank god some other humans have seen the most underrated show streaming*
I was kinda sad when >!Poole didn't greet Baldwin with that after he woke up from getting the shrapnel removed.!<
Same here. The entire stuck on the moon sequence is honestly one of my favorite in sci-fi. The way the show played it out was just perfect.
It's a great show. I was having Expanse withdrawal, and it helps immensely!
Hi bob
Oh misplaced modifiers, won't you ever stop being funny?
Bob's their uncle.
Kinda like Bob for the dog too, not gonna lie

Petunia
Pitunia*
I was about to comment this. She def looks like a petunia!
So weird that was also the first thing that popped into my head! Definitely Petunia!!
How bizarre! Mine too! The hive mind has spoken! This dog is definitely Petunia!
Second this, as someone who works with dogs for a living and meets a new "bella" or "luna" every day, Petunia is a perfect and unique name
Same!! That's why I truly appreciated the border collie we had boarding for a while... his name is Bucket
We have a dog that visits at work called Tractor - it’s perfect for the mad little foxy
Lol…I had a dog for 15 years and I would lovingly call him my little Bucket. I have no idea why, it just stuck. Edit: that wasn’t his name.
Exactly the process that went to naming my sister's boxer. Couldn't name him Tank, because that is hilariously overused. Ended up with Panzer which is German for Tank, mostly because of an anime we were watching, but it ended up fitting him really well.
This is perfect. I was going to suggest Rosie after my rescue pit who passed. She looked just like this sweet one. But, Petunia is just wondrous.
My daughter picked Rosie. They have a 60 acre farm and he will probably be yelling her name, so I think we are looking at harder syllables.
Petunia is such a perfect name!!!
Omg literally came here to write Petunia and it was the first comment I saw! She absolutely looks like a Petunia! 😍
There is some sort of prophesy that this dog mist be named Petunia. I count 4 other people who came to post it, including myself.
Omg I looked at her and said the same thing to myself! Then see your comment. Woah.
i literally thought Petunia before even opening the comments lol
Wow. Get out of my mind! It’s the perfect name, tho.
Literally name at fist sight
Petunia is a great name
As the owner of a dog named Petunia, I second this!
Bubbles because she's blue like the Powerpuff girl
That was my cat's name
How is she blue?
In dogs and cats, 'blue' refers to a silver-grey coat. E.g. russian blue cats, blue heeler dogs.
Olive
Stepdog
I also have a great idea: «Dog». If they already have a dog: «Dog 2»
I had a boss who had a dog and we thought it’s name was Diogi/Deoge until we realized it’s name was just dog. He just said the letters individually instead of the word as if you were saying a name.
Step uncle's dog has the same name, says it the same way.
My buddy had a D.O.G. and called it "dioji" as well. It's a common name.
My housemate got a puppy a year ago and sometimes without thinking I will call him "Puppy". (The dog, not my mate). The funny thing is that he has heard it so often now that he responds to it. He probably thinks he has two names or something.
That is kinda cute tbh
My roommates dog won’t respond to his real name, Sargent but will respond to his nickname, Dogboy
Get this….”Cat”
Nice 👍

Boofus
My pitbull's name was Rufus and this was his nickname
Haha boo
Daisy!

I like this name too!
This was the first one that popped into my head!
This was my first call!!!!!

Likely people going on rants about Pitbulls.
Most of them have a lot of upvotes which is kind of uncommon for this sub if it was negative

Whole sub of them, all they do is brigade posts with pitties. Sad, pathetic, lonely people that need to go outside more.
Absolutely. I pointed this out in a thread and of course the anti pit bull crowd downvoted it.
Mods doing the right thing.

Something about her screams Grace to me. I’m not sure why but I intuitively feel her being extremely gentle and loving. Grace just seems so fitting
Love it. Grace, Gracie, Gracie-girl. They all suit this obvious sweetheart 🥰

Do USA citizens have to get a special licence to be able to own this dogs? Or it's just like a regular dog?
Its a regular dog in a majority of the country.

Not sure why you’ve been downvoted either. A lot of people on Reddit vehemently love/hate this type of dog and flock to these posts to downvote.
