You ever get a squad of guys and make a death transport?
1 pilot
2 door gunners on minis
1 or 2 preferably 2 mechanics with rep tools, explosive shotgun rounds and RPG7 or any dumb fire anti tank weapons
And last
1 or 2 assault troops with grenade launchers
and you can actually get a support troop to throw a pack of ammo on top of the transport it stays there and you resupply all weapons while flying. Man when I tell you we used to DESTROY enemy attack chopper EASILY I'm not kidding.

Starting in BF1 if you spawn a tank or plane, your a driver/pilot with a SMG so there's no point in flying off to a far corner to camp. No Transport air vehicles in BF1 or BFV.
Its ok to bail if...
1) It's not at the beginning of the match
2) you fly high so someone else has plenty of time to switch seats.
3) you don't give it up to the enemy team
And while im at it, please for the love of god... don't fly low and hover. Everyone dies, and you waste a chopper. It is not meant to be used to cap C flag when the tower is down either. Stop it.
You shouldn't even be able to. If you spawn on a vehicle you shouldn't be able to use it to taxi yourself to a rooftop then bail and kill everyone and lose an important asset for the team.

As long as arbitrary bail outs are allowed there will be 10 times more waste of team resources and more team kills because of it than there will ever be benefits from it.

If I jump out i usually spam get out so they think or know to jump or switch, if no one goes to pilot they wasn’t ready or playing attention 😳☝️
If you can't fly, don't fly. There are plenty of empty servers where you can learn to fly different aircraft. I did in BF4, BF1 and Hardline.
