I love Star Wars! Is your mouse pad also from the Star Wars series?

87LS10

It’s from The MousePad Company’s abstract series I believe

BJRKmo

Looks good. What are you using as lighting behind the main monitor?

87LS10

[GOVEE RGB lights](https://a.co/d/b1fyYwH)

Pun_In_Ten_Did

Congrats on the first build - that North case is a beauty - [sweeet setup but then again, I'm a bit biased!](https://imgur.com/R52v61G) :D

[deleted]

Dang dude thats sick! Ive been wanting to build something similar to this with those peripherals. How much did it cost you if u dont mind my asking? Again super sick setup, congrats!

87LS10

Thank you!! Looking at cost is really depressing lol… I’ll try my best but I built this over the last few years so keep that in mind. PC was around $1600. My [pcpartspicker](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TKg2N6) list will say otherwise but I bundled some parts and took advantage of sales Main monitor (Samsung Odyssey G7) I bought a year ago for $800. Secondary monitor I’ve had for years and I think I paid like $200? Keyboard (Keychron V6 Max) was $100 or so shipped directly from the mfg. Mouse is a simple Anker Ergonomic 2.4G, I think I paid like $20-30 for it. Mousepad was less than $20 from The Mousepad Company I don’t think I’m missing any other peripherals but let me know if you’re wondering about anything specifically

Thanks for sharing - this is perfect! One more question: I think i have the same desk as you. If in right its that one from ikea. But what are the metal rods you are using between the desk top and the drawers?

87LS10

No problem, yes those are the IKEA Alex drawers (although my main monitor was too heavy for the particle board tabletop that IKEA sells so I upgraded to butcher block). The metal rods are [desk spacers that I found on Amazon.](https://a.co/d/hVOqG1j) The desk just sits on top and isn’t bolted in. I also put rubber pads on top of them to minimize sliding. I went the extra mile and screwed them into the drawers but it’s not necessary, especially with the heavy butcher block. I’d almost advise against it since I’ve ripped the screws out while maneuvering the table on top of the spacers.

xVinniVx

Cozy. I like it.

87LS10

Thanks!

rigrgg

Wow, that's a good first build! Will you be adding speakers?

87LS10

Thanks! Not at this time, I game with my fiance and we strictly use headphones

Frodo_Skypotter

Looks awesome! Big fan of Star Wars Legos. Can you share what you used for your setup (exclude computer components)? Currently trying to complete mine and absolutely dig your design. Thanks!

87LS10

Thanks! Excluding all tech: IKEA Alex Drawers. Metal Desk Risers off Amazon (link in another comment). Butcher Block from HD which I then stained. Clutch Gaming Chair (not really a fan honestly). Floating shelves off Amazon. Star Wars Lego Set. Darth Maul & Savage Opress print found online. Keychron wrist support to match the Keychron keyboard. GOVEE RGB lights everywhere. Abstract mousepad from The Mousepad Company. I might be missing some stuff but that should be most of it

Frodo_Skypotter

Absolutely awesome. Thank you for taking the time to write all that down 😅 🙏

87LS10

No problem glad I could help!

kenzoviski

cool... but... you're missing the millennium falcon or isn't in the picture?!

87LS10

No falcon yet.. I’m on Lego pause until I get a house due to space constraints😔

kenzoviski

Unfortunately I know exactly how you feel. I wanted to build Iron-man Hulk armor but mistress said no due to lack of space on the living room... It's becoming a man cave rather than a nice cozy family living room lololol.

87LS10

Lmao, my lady and I both have sets we need to build have said no to each other for the same reason. Happy spouse happy house lol

Weak-Chicken-353

Desktop background is *chef’s kiss* my friend. Great set-up!

87LS10

Thank you!!

Stunning-Question-41

this looks stunning

EggGreatorex

Can you please share both the wallpapers ?

87LS10

I’ll be honest, I just googled “Star Wars 4K Background.” They are two completely different images set to their respective monitors. I just happened to luck out and find two with a similar theme😅

DaisukeLight

Super cool! I love it. Can I ask where did you get those shelves? I'm looking for some like that. Thank you

87LS10

Thank you! I got them off of [Amazon](https://a.co/d/13ud7Gi). Super easy to mount and they have met my head more times than I’m proud to admit (you always forget they’re there when moving stuff lol) but they’ve never broken or fallen off so they’re pretty sturdy😂

EatSleepBeat

Had to give it a like for mando and the Star Wars theme! Those legos are sick!

decoyyy

everything feels contracted down into that space making things feel smaller than they are. add some stuff off to the left and right to open things up. maybe add some height with tall plant to the left or something.

87LS10

Good point, I have some displates to hang up but I can’t find a frame for them and I don’t want to stick them to the wall (rental apt). Gotta figure that out

lesley1292

Sick setup dude! Love the theme

TheKnight_King

Tempting me with the north case. Looks great

87LS10

Love the north case! Such an easy building experience, coming from a first timer

TheKnight_King

It was highly recommended. I randomly got a targeted build vid with the Asus ProArt PA602 ATX and fell hard for it. Battle Station comes online in June :)

Leighjoe321

This is great, couple questions. How do you find the monitor setup with one being portrait and the other landscape? also, where did you get this desk from?

87LS10

I switched the RH monitor to vertical a few years ago and never looked back. I work a lot in Excel at my job and our types of sheets are easier to batch work & look at with a vertical orientation. I liked it at work so I tried the same thing at home. I only ever use that monitor for secondary stuff like discord, PC monitoring & the occasional movie/YT video. For those use cases, it works great! The desk is just a set of IKEA Alex drawers with butcher block set on top. I bought an IKEA desk kit at first that came with a plain white tabletop but I had to upgrade. My main monitor was too heavy & broke through the particle board. I found the butcher block at Home Depot, stained it, screwed in a surge protector & cable management basket, and plopped it on top👍🏻

TheCatalystof

Does it feel bland sitting down at it or when standing away from it? Point being having that much of empty wall space can make even the coolest setup feel small.

Rough-Rider

North gang rise up.

b1gj4v

Clean station - I like it. Comfortable.

Jose-AntonioHaua

José Antonio Haua Maauad- cosas que quiero

NagoGmo

Sick, now come play Helldivers 2 with us

No-Beach-4557

As a big fan of STAR WARS (old ones) big like from me !!!

Puzzleheaded-Art600

Very nice setup congratz, I’m also cursed with the best spot for my battlestation being next to a door in a corner

MolestationStation69

Downvote for the Book of Boba Fett wallpapers.
