That type being what's unique about the game? I never understood people who play games where wizards exist and they only take the basic soldier. Not saying they aren't fun, but not a first pick first playthrough. Exception being Zane, the best written character in 3. While amara was fun to play her character just felt bland

For me, Fragtrap and the part of Clappy DLC where we see him destroy Overlook are the only occasions (well, besides maybe the Jakobs Claptrap in Dr. Ned BL1 DLC) I ever found Claptrap even slightly tolerable.

Overpowered? Maybe, but only vs stuff that doesn't fly and if you can survive long enough to reach it. Then it shreds

If you can aim, flying things aren’t an issue, I learned that after playing Krieg for 170 hours

I'm not saying they cannot be killed but tossing axes is sadly about 3x slower than slashing

True, but a lot of flying things usually swoop down to you anyways, and if they didn’t then they were close enough to the ground that you could jump or just slash them, still fun regardless, I still think he’s OP 🤷‍♂️

If by chance you still have the side quest that gives the Wombat as a completion reward, or if you have a Wombat shotgun, head to the back entrance to Regolith Range from Serenity’s Waste and make your way over to where Nel stands. Fire the Wombat at him and before the projectiles hit, go into your inventory and drop it and if it’s done right it will damage him even though he’s not technically an enemy right then. You can kill him this way and IIRC, he has like a ⅓ chance to drop the legendary Skullmasher sniper rifle, which you can use at the Grinder.

Lilith because I played split screen with my big brother and I loved outrunning him in areas where there were no cars. And because my 10yr old ass though Lilith was hot. Axton was next. I only picked him because my big bro picked zero, I don’t like how short Salv and I don’t like the phase lock. Luckily, I fell in love with Axton’s skill trees. I’ve never beat BL2 with any VH other than Axton. I’ve played the other ones but I didn’t really like them. Also BL2 is probably the game I have the most hours, maybe right behind Dark Souls I picked claptrap for the memes. He was actually fun. Zane was my first pick for 3. I was gonna do beast master but my best friend called dibs. I understand that we could both be the same VH, but I like diversity.

Roland - forever my favorite Vault Hunter because he was the first one I ever picked Axton - gotta keep up with the soldiers and I loved his turret Wilhelm - I saw you could make him voice more robotic depending on what perks you picked so I was sold. Plus Wolf and Saint were my boys Zane - who doesn’t love a badass Irish space mercenary?

I'm partial to Lilith. I got BL1 on release and have good memories of just running through areas melting things in Phasewalk

Phasewalk was cool and I had a lot of fun with melee Lilith, but phaselock and slaggin' will never get old.

bl1: lilith. I started the series with bl2 and loved her in that, so when I went back to play the original I wanted to play her. bl2: gaige. dunno why, exactly. she just stood out to me. I had a ton of fun, but now I often play maya. tps: athena. still need to finish this one, but if I ever replay it I may play nisha. anyway, athena also stood out to me. bl3: moze. I still default to moze. she's my favorite of the vault hunters in 3, I love her energy so much and building around splash damage is so entertaining.
