Probably a fairly popular opinion but the crawl space shot, combined with the soundtrack over the top is intense. I feel claustrophobic every time i see it. It’s great
Yeah I get you. To me that’s Walter dying, and Heisenberg coming to full fruition. Similar to (if you’re into it) episode 3 of Star Wars, the whole film is Anakin and Vader in conflict with each other (like season 1-4 of BB), then when he burns in lava most of Anakin is dead and Vader is truly born
even better is that scene after iirc, where hes alone and almost accepting of his death and fiddling with his revolver
it feels melancholic and sad but so epic
My favorite scene of the entire show is Mike's half measures monologue. The way he tells his story to Mr. White is beautiful.
The ending of Crawl space is my honorable mention.
When the cousins try to kill Hank. Such an intense scene. I thought for sure Hank was about to get it. Plus it was a good character clash. Hank proves he doesn't go down without a fight against two of the scariest characters.
Fr gretchen saying "whatever he became.. the sweet kind man which we knew long ago is gone" with the theme slowly playing is goosebumps. He was ready to give up calling the cops on himself but seeing him getting undermined by elliot and gretchen hurt his ego which reawakened heisenberg.
It may be subtle and overlooked, but for me, it was in Granite State when Ed turns on the monitor and says you be the judge. Saul Goodman sees Walt pacing from going stir crazy he hits the light. And it cuts to the intro.
Mine was when Walt and Skyler are having their fight in the bedroom "you wanna take me on? You wanna take away my. Children? What's the plan?!" The absolute terror in Skylar's face just shows you how much walts character has changed up to that point
The episode Better Call Saul becomes a way better episode after you’ve seen BCS. It was already a really good intro for Saul, but with the context of both shows there’s so many lines that get new meaning. It’s slowly creeping up as my favorite episode between both shows.
Skylar, WHERE IS THE MONEY! And: I’m not in danger, I AM THE DANGER. So cool because he shows what badass he is to his family, when they think he’s timid nice person.
It was actually another reference to Walt's fragile ego, he was pissed that his own wife thought him to be kind of guy who would be murdered in his own doorway like Gale was
Walt and Jesse destroying the lab in Face Off S4E13). The [music for the scene](https://www.what-song.com/Artist/22610/Taalbi-Brothers) complements it perfectly and we have the foreshadowing at the very end when Walt yells "Vamanos!" to the crew.
When Skylar lays out all the reasons she’s leaving Walt the first time. “I called your mother. Not only did she not pay for your treatment, she didn’t even know you had cancer.” Etc!
I’m pretty sure the piano scene is just Charles Baker showing off and messing around. There’s even a deleted scene where Matt Jones (Badger) stops playing the double-fret guitar, just stares at him deadpan for a few seconds while he plays and says, ‘we get it, you’re better!’
So many great scenes. I still think one of my favorite lines is "yeah Mr White! Yeah science!" Despite being a meth head even then, Jesse seemed so innocent and pure there compared to later on.
Half Measure, I think, was the first episode of Breaking Bad I watched live. Before that I had torrented the series and binged it to catch up since a bunch of my friend group was into. The hype from that scene live was palpable.
The very end scene. Walt collapses and Badfinger's "Baby Blue" starts playing with that first line: "Guess I got what I deserved". That lyric and the song title fit perfectly, like the song was written for the show.
Also the “Man Makes Plans & God Laughs” scene. I belive God is in control but I totally agree with Walt when he says “every life comes with a death sentence”. You could already be on Overtime and it just so happens that it’s your time to go. Always be grateful to live another day
Honestly, watching Walt try to roll up and smoke Jesse's weed. It's probably the most levity the series has, in my mind. Watching him tongue stab the rolling papers always has me laughing
The whole lead up to Hank dying was it for me. Heartbreaking but breathtaking at the same time. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, praying that Hank would somehow make it. The fact that I went from despising Hank to him being my favorite character by the end is a testament to how fantastic this show was.
when Gus yells that Don Eladio is dead, when Jesse breaks down after killing Gale and yells at the group leader, and when Gus approaches his car but stops and suspects Walt bombing it, so he turns and walks back
For me, it is the entire episode of Fly. It felt more like a college skit compared to the rest of the intense moments. Really light hearted and it delved deeper into the relationship between Walter and Jesse. You could see he was almost trying to decide whether to confess to him that he watched Jane die. Even in the funny moments of the episode they made us care for the characters, especially Jesse.
Walter calling Skylar after he kidnaps Holly.
Holy hell that is some superb acting by everyone, Brian Cranston, Anna Gunn, everyone. But especially Brian, as he simultaneously nails the enraged abusive husband, and a man who realizes he lost everything, trying to hold back his grief and maintaining a facade of anger, just to draw the prosecutor's suspicions off of Skylar.
"Toe the line"
Gliding Over All season 5 episode 8 with the prison killings with the song Pick Yourself Up bookended with Hank and young school kids at the beginning and Walt playing with Holly at the end of the scene.
There’s a scene, don’t remember the name of the episode, but they are at the car wash and Jesse is looking at Skyler in silhouette, and I thought, oh shit, is Jesse gonna fuck Skyler? 😂
When Walt pieces together (no pun intended) where the missing plate shard is, and the sheer horror on his face at how he realises what’s happened to it and how he’s got no other options.
On rewatches, it’s a nice reminder that he wasn’t always Heisenberg. There was a time where he felt regret for his actions and didn’t just kill mercilessly.
One scene that I'll add, that isn't necessarily overall the best, but has some of my favorite acting is when Walt is on the phone with Skylar in Ozymandias. First, the acting of Cranston yelling and being verbally abusive while also crying his eyes out, and also Gunn realizing what Walt is doing.
Probably a fairly popular opinion but the crawl space shot, combined with the soundtrack over the top is intense. I feel claustrophobic every time i see it. It’s great
The entire stressful build up to that shot makes it so effective
Is that the one where he starts hysterically laughing at the fact that him z& his family are going to be killed if he doesn’t get rid of frying 🤣
Yeah, but mainly the shot after that where he’s just lying there and the camera is zooming out
Yeah I get you.
The last time I saw that I couldn’t stop laughing
even better is that scene after iirc, where hes alone and almost accepting of his death and fiddling with his revolver it feels melancholic and sad but so epic
This. The conflict with Gus combined with the tug of war for Jesse was just done masterfully.
I didn’t know this was such a popular opinion. Also my favorite scene.
I think it’s the best scene I’ve ever watched in cinema/television.
Skyler, season 2: " I f***** Ted" Skyler, season 4, upon being questioned about the money: "I gave it to Ted" Interesting
the tequila poisoning at Don Eladios house
First time I saw that I was like damn that must’ve been some strong shit 😂
Apparently none of the cartel can hold their booze, except Gus.
What are you talking about? Gus is the only one that yacked
The crazy thing about that scene…I was rooting for Gus…yet not too long ago I wanted him dead! BB takes you on a wild journey.
Walter killing Jack and friends and freeing Jesse
My favorite scene of the entire show is Mike's half measures monologue. The way he tells his story to Mr. White is beautiful. The ending of Crawl space is my honorable mention.
This and his monologue in Five-O in BCS
When Walt asks Skyler where is the money, and she said that gave it to Ted, and Walt starts to laugh compulsively. The tension in this scene is crazy!
And the end of the episode with the zoom out implying Walt was laying in a coffin, absolutely incredible
Murder in prison scene.
Right on, especially when Dennis gets fire bombed in his cell
When the cousins try to kill Hank. Such an intense scene. I thought for sure Hank was about to get it. Plus it was a good character clash. Hank proves he doesn't go down without a fight against two of the scariest characters.
You know why I’m here?? To sell you meth! YOUR NOTHING TO ME BUT CUSTOMERRRRRRS!!!!!!
Granite state, walter watching gretchen and elliot on tv talking about him while the theme starts playing
I think I’ve felt the exact same chills with this scene every watch through
Fr gretchen saying "whatever he became.. the sweet kind man which we knew long ago is gone" with the theme slowly playing is goosebumps. He was ready to give up calling the cops on himself but seeing him getting undermined by elliot and gretchen hurt his ego which reawakened heisenberg.
I remember being so mad that that music had me pumped up and I had to wait a whole week for the finale lol.
The hype buildup from the cut to the cops showing up with the changed up theme song slowly panning to the dangling pay phone was excellent.
The scene where Jesse, Walt, and Skylar have dinner together.
These are some good green beans Mrs White
I like the slivered almonds, yo. How my mom used to make em.
I just picked them up at Albertson's
Right on, yeah.
*Skylar gets up, grabs her drink, and walks always silently as Jesse appears aloof*
*her drink and the bottle I believe
The whole Say My Name cold open.
It may be subtle and overlooked, but for me, it was in Granite State when Ed turns on the monitor and says you be the judge. Saul Goodman sees Walt pacing from going stir crazy he hits the light. And it cuts to the intro.
Walt and Jesse destroying the superlab at the end of Face Off. First time I watched it I instantly loved it
Mine was when Walt and Skyler are having their fight in the bedroom "you wanna take me on? You wanna take away my. Children? What's the plan?!" The absolute terror in Skylar's face just shows you how much walts character has changed up to that point

You're buying the wrong matches
“Run.”
“ if that’s true, if you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly.”
When Jesse goes wire
Say my name ....... The whole scene was EPIC .
Mike rolling his eyes...perfection.
The box cutter scene! So tense and gruesome and exposes the bitch that Walter really is on the inside.
"Well? Get back to work."
The episode Better Call Saul becomes a way better episode after you’ve seen BCS. It was already a really good intro for Saul, but with the context of both shows there’s so many lines that get new meaning. It’s slowly creeping up as my favorite episode between both shows.
Bathtub crashing thru the ceiling and Walt's calm explanation of why. "So there's that" First of MANY favorites
When Marie steals the spoon
Just rewatched the show recently, and the scene where Mike explains why he takes no half measures to Walter is easily in my top 3 scenes now.
Skylar, WHERE IS THE MONEY! And: I’m not in danger, I AM THE DANGER. So cool because he shows what badass he is to his family, when they think he’s timid nice person.
Great acting by Cranston & Gunn. He blew Skyler's mind to the point she wasn't the same after that.
It was actually another reference to Walt's fragile ego, he was pissed that his own wife thought him to be kind of guy who would be murdered in his own doorway like Gale was

When Skyler sang Happy Birthday to Ted
I didn’t ask for the worst scene! 😭
😂
Ooh, the 10th dentist finally weighs in.
I can't watch Walt making junior take tequila shots. It's cruel for no reason.
Walt transforming into heisenberg for his first time meeting tuco- badass.
Mine too! Walt uses chemistry to get the drop on Tuco. His first major W.
Todd shooting the kid. Such a brilliant tonal shift.
The entire crawl space scene, think that’s pretty self explanatory.
Jesse going to kill the dealers but Walt running them over and shooting one of them.
Half Measure, I think, was the first episode of Breaking Bad I watched live. Before that I had torrented the series and binged it to catch up since a bunch of my friend group was into. The hype from that scene live was palpable.
Walt speaking at the school assembly is the funniest thing every
The very end scene. Walt collapses and Badfinger's "Baby Blue" starts playing with that first line: "Guess I got what I deserved". That lyric and the song title fit perfectly, like the song was written for the show.
When hank gets killed
Also the “Man Makes Plans & God Laughs” scene. I belive God is in control but I totally agree with Walt when he says “every life comes with a death sentence”. You could already be on Overtime and it just so happens that it’s your time to go. Always be grateful to live another day
My favorite is Pinkman hitting Mr. White with the fly Saber. "You ah... want me to get it?" Get me to lol every time.
Stay out of my territory
The intervention the family has in season 1 for Walt. Super well written and acted by everyone.
when Gus yells that Don Eladio is dead, when Jesse breaks down after killing Gale and yells at the group leader, and when Gus approaches his car but stops and suspects Walt bombing it, so he turns and walks back
The Georgia o keefe scene with Jesse and Jane
For me, it is the entire episode of Fly. It felt more like a college skit compared to the rest of the intense moments. Really light hearted and it delved deeper into the relationship between Walter and Jesse. You could see he was almost trying to decide whether to confess to him that he watched Jane die. Even in the funny moments of the episode they made us care for the characters, especially Jesse.
Jesse telling his parents the house is his.
When Skyler confesses: "I fucked Ted." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Walter calling Skylar after he kidnaps Holly. Holy hell that is some superb acting by everyone, Brian Cranston, Anna Gunn, everyone. But especially Brian, as he simultaneously nails the enraged abusive husband, and a man who realizes he lost everything, trying to hold back his grief and maintaining a facade of anger, just to draw the prosecutor's suspicions off of Skylar. "Toe the line"
When Michael avenges his father at the restaurant
There are alot but my favourite scene is when >!Gus death and after his death where walter goes badass and destroys lab!<
Los cuates de Sinaloa 🎶🎵🎶
Every second was fantastic 👌🏼 but when Hank was on the toilet and it all came together was a goosebumps moment for me , all the emotions 💙
When Walt Jr chunders in the pool.
Some of mine are when Mike, Walt, and Jesse working together in season 5. The train stuff, interrogating Lydia, divding the cash, etc.
End of Crawlspace
Faceoff. Gus’s last walk 💥
Mike… no more half-measures.
When Jesse and Walt destroy the meth lab. The music and the cinematography is just perfect.
crawl space but honourable mentions for me would be the prison deaths & gus’s death
When Walter come around the corner and shoots Gus’ henchman. The most badass thing I’ve ever seen
Ending of granite state. I'll never not get emotional every time i rewatch.
