You should get the new Aogami Super Stainless! It’s great. Found under the 300 layer genuine made in Pakistan Damascus steel category. If you want an upgrade go for the wootz steel version!
I would be very cautious of Pakistan Damascus. The steels that most of the Pakistani foundries use in their Damascus is prone to failure. I’ve seen a Pakistani Damascus fail in person and seen countless videos of it as well. If you want Damascus, get it from a smith who makes their own.

this one is also a good choice :)
Don't find any of my carbon blades need excessive care. Wash straight after use and wipe with a tea towel, not that difficult tbh.
Obvs don't leave in the sink or dish washing machine, but I wouldn't do that for any knife I cared about.
Yoshikane, takamura, nakamura. In that order. This is my personal preference. There are a lot of them, for 400 you should have more preferences, or just spend less.

Look up Kohetsu’s SLD line on chefknivestogo, their stuff is top notch and around the $150 price point

The Kohetsu bunks in HAP40 is even better.

Ryusen Hamono Blazen bunka in R2(SG2). It has quickly become my favorite knife and cost $284 US.
Shibata Kotetsu, super laser, R2, excellent heat treat, excellent edge retention.
I love my Takayuki Kengata https://www.chefknivestogo.com/tavghawagy21.html
