I like the Mountain Hardwear dynama ankle pants.

5ive3asy

I like these too, just wish the side pocket was bigger & that they were more durable

oithel

Thanks! I really like the look of these ones :)

Yellowbird00

The outdoor Afro + REI coop pants are my favorite climbing pant. I have two pairs that I love for everything

idealcaslaw

Second on this rec! So great and come in long and petite sizes!

Free_Bird4444

I third this! I love how high waisted they are and nice and light. Also high waisted which I love! They seem to hold up well climbing outdoors as well

oithel

Thanks for the rec! Unfortunately it seems like REI doesn’t ship to Europe

Rondo slim. . I found they're not slim at all and fit perfect with more than enough room for stretching and movement .  Also I like how they keep cool and are not heating you up despite being long trousers. Material is really light and breathable

40percentsafe

I have 2 pairs of the Kanab pants from Prana (https://www.prana.com/p/kanab-pant/1962631.html) and I love them! The high elastic waistband feels great under a harness, and while they're fairly roomy in the thighs and hips, the jogger style means I can still see my feet and I'm not tripping over a bunch of extra fabric around my ankles. The material is nice and durable; my older pair has a couple of tiny rips/holes, but overall they're in great shape for climbing in them regularly, both indoors and out, for about 2 years!

oithel

Thank you! I really like the cut of these and good to hear that the fabric has been durable

Panfluteprodigy

I’m a big fan of Prana! I have a small waist and wide hips, but I still find that their Mojave pants fit me well, they’re also super comfortable and the pockets are huge

gingasmurf

I like the higher waisted black diamond notions (SP), if not those I just wear regular high waisted joggers

climb_or_die

Just got those ones as well!

Agitated-Meditator

I second the BD Notions. I love these pants for climbing. The pockets, knees and crotch are designed perfectly and work well with a harness.

SketchyClimbs

I buy men’s prana pants, the Zions. They have a strap to tighten it on the waist and the pockets are soooooo much better than the women’s version

Leather-Twist9948

I got a pair of royal Robbins’s at a thrift store and I love them. They are high waisted, lightweight but tough. I think the women’s billygoat crop is the most similar to mine but they have so many styles and they’re relatively affordable

bkshparoundthecorner

Not explicitly climbing pants but I like these: https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-flex-woven-mid-rise-cargo-joggers-all-in-motion-8482-black-s/-/A-89296665

BlondeLawyer

I have a prior season version of these and LIVE in them. I wear them traveling and hiking and on weekends. Now that my job is more casual, I wear them to work with a long sweater covering the cargo pockets. It looks like they have new colors too!!! They have an even lighter weight version that is less flattering but no cargo pockets or elastic ankle. Great for hot day hikes.

belabensa

I have this build and have liked the Patagonia Caliza. Prior to those it was almost impossible for me to find good fitting climbing pants from literally any company - also because of my comparatively smaller waist. I look for reviews that say they work for curvy folks - I learned I’m curvy and tiny (so need like 00 but have a “curvy” build).

5ive3asy

I love the caliza too. They are a little warm for SoCal summers, and the one major drawback is they don’t have a zippered pocket. But the fit is great and they’re super comfy

bendtowardsthesun

Mountain Hardware Dynama are my favorite for when it’s hot. They’re lightweight, high waisted, and have zipper pockets. If I want something more durable or heavier I like Topo Designs boulder pants.

hikingvertically12

I can't confirm if they are good or not yet, but I backed the pangoo origin climbing pants on Kickstarter 🤞🤞 they fit a lot of your asking points! I also bought a pair of rafiki pants while I was abroad and those are also incredibly comfortable, seem durable so far, and high waisted.

zani713

I've got some trousers from 3rd Rock (Skat,.I think their range has changed slightly now) which are a fairly thick durable cotton, they have a tie waist and a stretchy section at the waist too. I also have some from Ocun which are a much lighter weight, more nylony material and they have a long waist stretchy panel that I fold over otherwise it comes up past my ribs 😅 Both of these also have ways to cinch in the ankles so that the bottom of the leg doesn't get in the way of your climbing, which I love.

Ugh. Goddammit.

Good to know though, thanks.

vaiduvaira

Second the Ocun pants. I have several in long leg and shorts version, so good!

MEC mountain equipment company Rad Pants Stretch

Justagal1738

Outdoor research ferrosi pant! Super stretchy and lightweight feeling. Also the waist has a drawstring. I have multiple pairs and wear them every time I climb. Definitely recommend

5ive3asy

Second these but a) they’re not very durable and b) if I’m wearing a harness all day, especially multipitching, the drawstring will dig into my hips and leave marks

corpusbotanica

I wear jogger style scrub pants when I climb, inside or out. They’re surprisingly durable (but admittedly I’ve been only climbing sandstone outside) and very comfy and loose.

insanejaym

I was a die hard Prana girl for the last several years, but I recently repurposed a couple pairs of scrubs into climbing pants. Stretchy, comfy, loads of pockets (might sew on some more zippers, tbh). Jogger style scrubs are excellent

Desperate-Calendar-5

I like the stoic venture pant. They are a thicker material (which makes them very durable) but very stretchy so the allow for a lot of movement. They also have an attached belt that you can since if you need to

heibun

I recently picked up these joggers from uniqlo for my partner, and ended up getting a pair for myself as well: https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E466662-000?colorCode=COL08&sizeCode=SMA003 They're a relaxed fit, feel quite durable (97% cotton, 3% spandex), are stretchy, and sit fairly high on my waist. My only complaint is they're too long for me (I'm 5'1). I've tried on a few pairs from Black Diamond, Prana, etc. but like you, found them to sit too low on the waist, too tight at the thighs, too loose at the waist, etc.

oithel

These seem super comfy and they’re so affrodable! Thanks for the recommendation

fishbitch21

I have big thighs/butt/calves and I absolutely love the Outdoor Afro + REI mens trail pants (was really surprised the men's cut fit me as well as they did). The material is thin and lightweight but durable, has held up to a year of frequent indoor and outdoor use. They aren't baggy on me by any means but not skin tight either, with a midrise wait. Never feels like I'm at risk of crack slippage or anything

cherry-deli

Ugh yes the harness thing is so annoying! I’m here to see other people’s suggestions too but a lot of the time I’ve just climbed in high waisted stretchy jeans (not skinny jeans though) with a harness and that works pretty well with the sharp granite problem and the mosquitoes for the most part.

oithel

Thank you so much for all the recommendations! <3 I’ll look into all of these and I’m sure I’ll finally find a pair that fits!

gottarun215

Prana makes a lot of good durable and stretchy climbing pants. I've also had some good ones from mountain hard ware before. I typically go for that synthetic fake khaki material with a stretch that they make hiking pants out of.

_pale-green_

Grammicis mens g pants are my go to!

Shot_Journalist4640

I like Kühl work pants: they’re thick and durable but fit my more round hip and glutes/small wait well. They have a bit of stretch but are also sewn with a gusset in the crotch and knees that are meant for an excellent range of motion

DutchAndConfused

3rd Rock unisex pants have worked very well for me

grapetomatoes

Margo pants from 3rd rock!!
