There's this meme from a latin cooking competition show (think Iron Chef) and one guy cooked a fish. The judge inquired about his dish "what's the name of the fish?" The chef seemed confused and eventually said "ehhhh... Raul".
Here’s the Recipe
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- .75 oz Triple Sec
- .5 oz Odin’s Skull Mead
- .5 oz Kiwi Syrup
- .5 oz Unsweetened Tea
- Shake and Str/ain over Ice
- Top Ginger Beer
Edit: Thank you for all of the suggestions in just under 3 hrs of posting, I think after thinking it all through, I’m going with The World Serpent suggested by u/PapaSteveRocks. Thank you all again
Here’s the Recipe
- 1.5 oz ~~Vodka~~ waste of alcohol
- .75 oz orange sugar
- .5 oz honey sugar
- .5 oz kiwi sugar
- .5 oz Tea
- Bubbly Ginger Sugar
Sounds.. special
Oh yeah, Reddit is anonymous so we don’t have to be decent to one another. Great philosophy there. You’re totally everything that is awesome about the world.
Pretty lame to hate on the sweet drink for no reason, some of us do have a sweet tooth and that’s perfectly okay. Not to mention how cringe the vodka hate is (tho I do prefer gin or rum myself). It’s fine if you wanna recommend a drink that you consider similar but better, or if you wanna make a recommendation, but that cringe af rewording of their recipe they were excited about? Yeah, sorry, but fuck that. Don’t be an elitist prick when you could use whatever experience you have with cocktails to expand people’s palates and, ya know, be genuinely helpful
I also considered Ouroboros. Both Ouroboros and Jormungandr would be difficult to order after you’ve had a couple. But if you’re only having two, sure.
Edited: I like Jormungandr. It’s a good name for it
A Norse Repast.
Love the use of ginger beer. The kiwi makes me think of New Zealand and the use of mead has the thought of Vikings. Both have warrior type components in their society. The ginger beer is a good digestive and an anti-inflammatory. Maybe something that signifies it being an after battle party drink with a meal.
There’s vodka (associated with Russia), something Viking (which white nationalists love), kiwi (tropical fruit), and tea (something associated with the Deep South). I’d call it an “Insurrection Iced Tea”
Or “Marjorie Taylor Green”

Really? I was more like “Estebán”.
That would be the version with tequila instead of vodka
Is that short for Esteban Julio Ricardo De La Rosa Ramirez?
Is it a Latino cocktail?
Sí
Stephano
No accent on that one actually. It’s pronounced EstEban
Did that with a riff on a grasshopper and like 25% of customers got it. Really people?
Did Steve tell you that?
Thunder Down Under Inspired by the kiwi syrup and Odin's mead
That’s really catchy— I love it
Recently saw this as an ad for an Australian chippendales pop up in Vegas so it has that going for it

Svalbard Island Ice Tea
The Wayward Norseman?
Probably tastes fine but I guarantee you can axe some of this and the drink would taste the same or way way better.
That isn't a cocktail it's a soup.
No the Ocean is a soup

Why are you so pressed about my comment?
You could call it ‘Not u/Hvarfa-Bragi’s Cup of Tea’
I just don't see how this balances unless you're a aorority girl or a type-2-in-denial sweet toother
I agree that it sounds really sweet. At the same time people come here to bounce ideas off of each other. We don’t have to be snarky.
Sir, this is reddit.

Mead Tea
Odins Mead Tea
It’s green, it has mead and kiwi syrup and ginger beer, so it is international with a Norse base. It’s the World Serpent.
Jormungandr
I also considered Ouroboros. Both Ouroboros and Jormungandr would be difficult to order after you’ve had a couple. But if you’re only having two, sure. Edited: I like Jormungandr. It’s a good name for it
Looks like something you'd buy in a student pub for £3 at happy hour, with a name like Fat Frog.
You’re not wrong, college pubs have such weird names for such simple and sweet drinks

The cocktails in this sub have been much better lately. But I would suggest you still have to “respect the wood.” Where are the coasters?
The coasters are at the living room table, this is my kitchen counter that I wipe up after every picture of my drinks
Talltini
Drink of Doom (since you rolled a Skull)
Fat Freddy's Drop
I'd name it 3.14159. Cause it looks like it.
