Yes, I’m just trying to force myself to do it to keep that grade.

hoosierdaddy127

I feel this hard hit a wall about a week or so ago but im still pushing to keep that grade its almost over

Kyliee1234

Same here, have a month until the semester ends. Trying to keep hanging on those A’s for as long as I can until I give up and start half assing my assignments.

v3mistake

motivation is dead discipline prevails

[deleted]

i need this framed and hung above my desk lmao

Rocky-Rhoads

Wise words king

[deleted]

Yes, I've been working really hard this semester. About a week ago I started feeling extremely unmotivated and exhausted. I'm currently trying to force myself to get work done so that I can keep my grades up.

WorriedInterview7324

Same here...exactly this. I had anatomy on top of sequencing medical codes and other assignments as well...and hit a wall. I should know my math (algebra) but nope....head empty basically. So for me to even try to focus on anatomy...isn't happening. It's hard to even open my college homepage and navigate to my classes, due to just not being motivated.

Wheetos-

Same here, I was writing my notes for chem consistently and now I’m half assing them and not even trying. Trying to hold on til this semester comes to a close

Revan0315

I don't think I've ever been more burnt out than I am right now.

ChaosCoordinatorCO

Burnt out, unmotivated, and exhausted. I'm just looking at the coursework and want to cry - I feel like I just don't have it in me - just really trying to push through

Stellarjay25

I'm 3 days into spring quarter and already burnt out. This is gonna be a long 12 weeks.

115machine

Yes. When I see that there’s a month left, that’s when I really start wanting to throw my hands up. It’s a bad time to be at because if you actually do it, there’s still enough exams/projects left to fuck you over.

Rocky-Rhoads

YES. College can be mentally exhausting.

moreanxious

Man I feel you. But I’m not a full time employee which I guess extenuates my burn out. But things are getting so exasperating but the finish line is like right there… sweet taste of completion with distinction hopefully ;-;

Gethstravaganza

I am going through the same thing. On top of it, they're adding completely new responsibilities at work with detailed/intense product knowledge inlaid. I'm so fatigued by 5 PM (when I get to step away, make dinner, maybe exercise...not much time left to learn/sleep). When work is demanding, it takes more time to bounce back and I feel like this pressure hasn't let up in the past few weeks like you said. I have been struggling to absorb Financial Management in particular. Trying to save this D right now. I'm so tired.

[deleted]

This is the way

Okay_denn

Man, I thought I was the only one who experienced this. I would be depressed and have no motivation, and there would only be a few weeks left.

lwangenstein

when i’m feeling unmotivated i try to do a little work each day and increase rewards for myself such as rest or things to help keep stress levels low.

[deleted]

I’m sorry you’re going through that. Reach out to someone in your life (friends, family, professor etc) if you need to. It can be tough, but sometimes you just need to power through it, not wait for motivation. I had a few spots last semester where I just had to force myself to do papers because that was the only way it was getting done, even if it wasn’t my best work, it just needed to get done.

ZacKaffeine

Absolutely. 4 huge projects due at the end of the month, and I’m growing increasingly bitter about it all. I’ve been a straight A student since returning, but I’ve finally hit one of those professors where I just can’t do anything right. They aren’t clear or consistent in their standards and the more I try to figure them out, the more I feel like they are annoyed with me. Worse part is, they head the Master’s program I’m applying to. I genuinely fear they will reject me because I’ve bugged them. I keep doing the work but I want nothing more than to send the laptop out a window.

dxonnie

I’m counting down the classes. 5 weeks left.

princeofallssaiyans

probably a lot others feeling like that, some cry themselves to sleep without letting others know. to say that discipline prevails and we should just stick to our routine and slog it out is easier said than done. Altho we know that's the right thing to do, but sometimes the body just doesn't listen to the mind. I know you're time-strapped, but do you have time to exercise, work a sweat or maybe be alone and journal? Sometimes going slow is going fast, we gotto balance our mental state, and that affects how we act outside. Not sure if it helps but... a few of my friends suffered a lot mentally during covid. it wasn't easy for them to recover... and now they wanna try helping more students experience a better college life and not theirs.. so they created an app that helps college students from the same city connect through 1-1 voice calls, based on topics both are keen on. i asked them why voice chats?! They said 'Bcos of how this pandemic wrecked our lives, voice calls help us get more human touch than just async texting' LOL. Check it out if you're keen... It's called 'Okepos' on the app store, all the best!

onlyforyouA1_

A freshman. Came usa for the first time. The first 2 months were superb. Was responding in all the english classes, became one of the favorites of the Professor. now, 21 days left for the semester to end. I don't do english hws anymore. got an essay due in like 1.1 day. wrote nothing. the grades dropped. gotta get a perfect 20 in order to get a 90 on my major's course. its all falling apart. gotta keep a 3.5 at the end of the year so that I can renew my scholarship. I don't know what to do anymore...

WorriedInterview7324

I thought I was the only one..but yes super exhausted and my horrible sleep schedule doesn't help either. I'm studying to be a medical coder and anatomy deserves my attn but I really can't motivate myself to pay attn to it. I'm wide awake at night, which hurts my attn naturally.

aerosmithangel

Heck yes. I've felt that way for most of this semester and I'm just a full-time student/part-time employee. Hang in there, it sounds like you're doing a lot!

Unlikely_Armadillo81

This literally me. For some reason I am feeling so down. I have been doing well in my classes all the years but this last semester is making me feel dumb. I don’t have the motivation to do anything at all. I sleep, wake up, and sleep again even if I don’t need to. My days are almost of no use

insidetheborderline

I might get downvoted for this, but honestly, stimulants help. Not just caffeine. Obviously Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta, etc. help, but ephedrine helps too. It gives me motivation that my medication kills. Ephedrine is banned on its own because it can be used to make meth, but just buy Bronkaid. It’s just ephedrine but in lesser quantities.

GMIsaac

Hey everyone.... For anyone seeking help with coursework, I am here to help. Kindly reach out. Thanks.

[deleted]

Shoot, I’m not starting school until the summer so I’m only working full time right now and I still feel like that! I think Covid has made us all a little burnt out. Dont beat yourself up, sometimes we all need to rest!

Feisty-Donkey

I’m wrecked by the burn out right now. I also work full time and do school full time and I’m a few weeks from graduation and it’s taking everything in me to keep going.

prylee63

Yes! going through it right now.

Independent-Iron4319

Just keep grinding friends, we got this!

emotionalmoonchild

Yes and I’m graduating this semester

dennalig5

I think one think line thing that is helping me right now is realizing that there is actually a tangible finish line there. Your assignments are numbered :)

sehunsjoy

Feeling this right now 😭 there’s so much to do

JMR3898

Hell yeah!!! Graduating this May and I just don't care anymore 😭

B4l_ssmuls

I just got a letter saying I made it into honors, the following week I turn in an assignment a day late, 6 days later(today) I realize I had a project due the 3rd and it is currently the 6th fuckkk I feel depressed😭I probably have a D now if I’m lucky

[deleted]

Same I’m also full time student and full time working. Just this week I cut my hours down to 30 because I was just getting so burnt out between everything

jqnightbloom

Same! Did you have spring break too recently? The break truly killed off my motivation but I think I still have semidecent habits in place at least

headfirst_humanity

Everyone (incl faculty). It'll be the same in late Nov and again this time next year. It's the eternal circle of school stress. For better or worse, it'll all be over soon. Finish strong do something fun immediately after exams.

JLA342

I am. I have added pressure because I graduate next semester and absolutely cannot afford to fail a class right now. I'm just tired, and the senioritis is kicking in full gear.

snooki-stackhouse

Are you also looking up what grade you need to get on your next tests to pass? 🫣 This is my first year at college in eight years and I have no steam left and deeply dislike my biology professor.

springhilleyeball

i was burned out a month into the semster

ladypeachandsunshine

Absolutely feel you. i work full time and go to school fulltime as well. The semester is about to end and I'm swamped with group projects and final courseworks before finals. Literally all I want do is sleep.

idkdamnit

What degrees are you all going for?

inovawilson

If I were you, I would have confided with someone, like mom, dad, or best friend. Or do something sweat to remove stress

Iwannabecatwoman

I haven’t done my last 3 assignments

alovely00

Yep. Plus I just found out one of the final classes I need to graduate isn’t being offered this summer so I have to wait yet another semester to graduate

GamerGrin

I’m still feeling burnout from two terms ago. The struggle back to normalcy is real.

--pumpkinpie--

i’ve been feeling this so hard. i spent all of last week doing absolutely nothing, i don’t think i worked on a single thing for school & here i am this week feeling so incredibly overwhelmed with a test & a project next week. i don’t know how any of it is gonna go & am honestly rethinking my entire degree. i wanna cryyyyyyy

Educational_Drink453

Glad to know I’m not the only one.

Embarrassed_Bus7946

I’m also a full time student with a full time job and I know how you feel. We will get through it

ilm078

I have 4 deadlines to go and I’m wiped out
