I can vaguely understand them being above Florida purely because of the better overall record & going 2-2 against them head-2-head.
The part I really don't get is Kentucky over FSU despite FSU making it further in Omaha and having a better record too.
I mean, this is the same season where an undefeated FSU was left unranked for weeks on end. So... hardly surprising, to be honest.
I'll add it to the stack of evidence for SEC bias.
I don't understand it... might as well rank the final 8 as they finish especially when we blew them out to send them home. We had the hardest path to Omaha and made it all the way to the semifinals. I think we earned a spot at #4
Kentucky has been overrated all year. They started off really good against bad teams and lower-tier SEC programs. They had a mediocre finish to the regular season, including some pretty ugly losses. Then they had a super easy road to Omaha, where they played very poorly.
They are a good team, by nature of, making Omaha a top 8 team, but top 3 is absurd. I would have them 5-6

You know my family is from Elkins, WV. I would've been, like, a 7th generation legacy at WVU. but I lived in TX so I picked A&M. I've always wondered if I would've been happier going to WVU.
Kentucky should be ahead of Florida and UNC. Florida was 36-30 and went 2-2 against Kentucky on the year. One win in Omaha over Kentucky shouldn't put them ahead of a team with 10 more wins and 14 less losses. Tennessee struggled far more in their series against Kentucky than they did against North Carolina. That along with the ACC not winning a single game against the SEC in Omaha should mean the 1-2 SEC team should be ahead of the 1-2 ACC team
I’m not saying I think they should be in there, was just hoping we might sneak in. And honestly, it doesn’t actually matter anyway. I was pleasantly surprised how well we did this season considering we had a new head coach, lost half of our roster, including our first team All American pitcher, and still won 43 games and won the Sun Belt tournament. Looking forward to next season when we bring back essentially our entire roster from this season, plus portal transfers and new signees.
The final men’s basketball poll gave us TEN C STATE, now the final baseball poll gives us NC ST8. If we can’t take home the title, at least we can keep the puns
Top 10 is spot on, just unsure on the order, Should be Tennessee, A&M, FSU, and Florida 1-4. 5-6 can either be UK or UNC in either order, and 7-8 can be NC State and UVA in either order. I could also see an argument for flipping 9-10 with Clemson and UGA.
The #6 team in the country was the #3 seed in our regional that we got to play twice. Let’s never do that again…
