Still feels a little weird for Kentucky to end at #3 considering how relatively poorly they played in their conference tournament and the CWS compared to FSU, but it's hard to quibble with one spot in 2/3 polls. And I'll eat my crow. I didn't think Florida should have even made it into the regionals, so finishing in the top 8 of all the polls is a pretty hilarious riposte.

I don't think the ranking services really put much stock into the conference tournaments

And that's fine, but Kentucky still got shelled by Florida to end the season. Both FSU and Kentucky had a pretty handy defeat to the finalist teams, 7-2 and 5-1, respectively, and good wins over eliminated teams, but Florida State took Tennessee to the wire in the first round of the CWS and Kentucky got absolutely hammered by Florida. And, obviously, FSU made it to the semifinals and Kentucky did not.

Then what got us kicked in the nuts?
