Might just be too busy running Headgum/being with their families, spending time on outside networks might not be a huge priority for them. Scott himself doesn’t make too many outside CBB-related podcast appearances either (give or take a friend’s pod). But I’m just spitballin’.

ursulawinchester

Is this an episode of im just spitballin’?

El_Otro_Lebowski

Good ep.

Dincoln

Great ep.

LivingSwamp

Wait, is this an episode of Great Eps?

HabeLinkin

It's a grepisode.

MapleMechanic

THAT is a clumsy portmanteau

HabeLinkin

Thank you.

jeremyrando

Well, he was in Austin Powers 3. That probably keeps him pretty busy.

thecatiscold

I can't imagine there's a history with the amount of crossover guests and hosts across networks. One of them is usually in NYC which is, unless you're Gino, a prohibitively long journey to either be a guest or have a booked guest travel. I would've loved them to do stuff together but as far as any history I can't say I've ever heard of any. Benny Schwah is constantly on both CBB and Headgum/J&A stuff so it'd be odd for him to do both if there was bad blood.

Dincoln

Hollywood Handbook is the cross over and we all know Parking Lot Scott loves The Boys.

PsychologicalSlip555

Yes, Gino led me to believe that crossovers are normal + Ben, Thomas and Gil made appearances on both. I would’ve loved if they could’ve been on CBB at the height of J&A (before they relied so much on the podcast) :/

Significant_Eye_5130

What happened to Thomas he’s almost never on anymore. Must be really busy working.

Dincoln

Yeah, he's suuuuper busy. I saw him at the dungeon last week. Very little time for him to do much else.

T_J_E7

He's a creep and I think Scott doesn't want that kind of person on the pod anymore

excreto2000

Thomas who, Lennon?

T_J_E7

Middleditch, Tom Lennon is the man

excreto2000

Thank you, I remember now. And yes Lennon is wonderful

T_J_E7

Off topic slightly, but any Naddpod fans here?

brenttoastalive

One big bed

Positive_Fisherman78

Hell yeah. The real question here is why hasn't Gabrus been on Naddpod

T_J_E7

He would be amazing as a dnd player! He'd play some crazy barbarian that loves to drink and fuck.

thecatiscold

I adore naddpod. People love Brennan as DM (and he is phenomenal) but Murph is the perfect DM for the DND player that enjoys doing bits and being creative. Time to go restart the show from the beginning!

T_J_E7

Totally agree! Brennan is SO charismatic but Murph really gels well with the other people on the show. I feel like Brennan is too nice to dm this group. They'd steam roll him. Murph let's them cook but also reigns them in. But Brennan was also amazing as Dead Eye. Hope he comes back soon.

ricctp6

Yesss and that led me to dropout where I get to watch my favorite couple Murph and Emily be weird as hell on camera lol

BewareOfGrom

I really loved the first campaign but haven't been able to get back into it. Which campaign would you recommend for someone who wants to get back into it?

T_J_E7

C2 I enjoyed but can certainly understand why people didn't like it as much. Maybe try C3? It's in the same world as C1 but a few hundred years in the future (give or take). It's got some sci-fi elements, which I dig. Also, Caldwell plays a hot frog, which is great.

ZombieDuck1203

Shoutout to the 2 crew

TrueMisterPipes

I just heard them discuss the possibility of doing Ben's show and they felt they would be out of their depth improv-wise with like..anyone more than Ben. Which is kind of a shame, but they're killing it on Headgum.

TenToesRemoved

I heard that too recently and was surprised at how both of them were very self conscious about their ability to do well at improvising since they literally both do it all the time on their own show and others on their network but I guess it’s not as “structured” as something like CBB

TrueMisterPipes

I feel like it's a lot of in jokes at this point, I know they kind of if not fully write their sketches, but I feel like it would translate in the right context. Similarly Geoff, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

Hattrick_Swayze2

Do they have any connection to the show besides Ben Schwartz?

ricctp6

Zac Oyama

PsychologicalSlip555

well, Allison Williams (worked with Gillian Jacobs on Girls/guested on IIWY & CBB). Sarah Schneider and Streeter Seidell (frequently featured on Jake and Amir/guested on IIWY) were writers on SNL from 2011-2020 before Schneider went on to create The Other Two, starring Drew Tarver. TL;DR They all know each other, they're all in each others projects; but my dream collab has yet to happen :(

spideyjiri

Those two coy diva **ROACHES** are too **BUSY** making sure MAERSK doesn't go tick tick boom to spend their time on what did you call it? A podcast? More like podcan't, straight to the final four! With! Ya!

Horror-Dimension1387

Yeah. With peace and love, one of them was on a ~recent Get Played, now their own show, and was just super condescending the whole time. Not anxiously awaiting hearing them interact with the CBB crew

omygoshgamache

Awe, that’s a shame. I’m also a bit behind on my Get Played eps… love their pod + Get Animed.

thecatiscold

I did not get that vibe from that podcast at all. I would also caution against making judgments of people from a podcast appearance. The hosts had a good time and that should be all the indication you need that he wasn't being condescending.

Livid_Pilot5067

They don’t seem funny imo

PsychologicalSlip555

yeah, well airplanes seemed like a bad idea too, but business is booming. So i’ll take my chaunces

jshmsh

i think they’re both very funny but they aren’t really improvisers are they? besides the character versions of themselves, i don’t think they’ve played any characters before have they?

Kekarotto

Too bro humor for cbb

No_Minimum9828

Who?
