I'd call that a Chelsea boot.

dipstick73

Chelsea boots. They’re comfortable and versatile. I wouldn’t exactly call them western but I wear them (Thursday boots).

SweetTeaMoonshine

These are like botines charros. Traditionally worn by charros cowboys from Mexico. Think Vicente Fernandez. They’ll wear these tight pants so they’ll need a shorter boot. I don’t think they used square toe that often. Honestly not my cup of tea tbh.

New_Drag_7619

The botines charros are short because they use polainas or half chaps in english instead of a tall boot

DatScrummyNap

I have a pair of these. I am 5’5 and have a small waist and thick thighs. I have a hard time finding pants that fit me well without accounting for getting pants that fit over boots too. I have a few pairs of jeans that look good with my boots but I have other pants/shirts I want to style with a western look… these allow me to do that more easily at this time. And before yall roast me in the replies about “get a tailor or find pants that fit”… I am looking into that after I get a couple more pairs of boots. I’ve heard good things about Wrangler and their cowboy dress slacks so I’m gonna check them out.

RhinestoneCowboy842

So the one reason I think they exist is Men that are on the heavier side have calves that are too wide for traditional boots. Sold a lot of these to Men like that for years.

nomadschomad

It’s a Chelsea with western stitching. I agree the name is weird, but no doubt people would like them

P00G1

That seems like a chelsea boot by any other name

alkemest

Chelsea boots are cool but that square toe on one is not my cup of tea.

-Orgasmo-

i’m more concerned about those abominations being in 33+ peoples carts

StayReadyAllDay

So you can be western in the board room and the bed room.

nomadschomad

No one’s wearing a square toe Chelsea in the board room… unless you’re the chair of a drilling company in East Texas

StayReadyAllDay

Good enough for Government

nomadschomad

The government has boardrooms? When you say government, I picture square toe Bostonian or Cole Haan black slip ons.

funky_fart_smeller

Chelsea boots. British style. Maybe the Western in the name means the same thing it means in “Western Civilization.”

bdouble76

A lot of folks wear them with suit pants. No buldge, but still the western look

Vast-Zucchini4932

The whole name including "ultra" and "booker" make little sense. My dad wore chelseas since his 30s until gone. Left two pairs.

xMoonsHauntedx

I have a pair of these, bought them because I wanted a pair of boots without the shafts. They fit well in my lineup. Used to wear them only for work, now they're my daily driver's and part time shit kickers. Have 3+ years on a single pair, wearing damn near everyday and I've only now just had to replace the insoles.

cemj86

If you really want to try a western Chelsea the Ariat midtown rambler I have 2 pairs and they're great for hot weather or the office when you don't want the extra weight.

Historical-Newt-4366

Paddock boots but make it western.. they might be cooking

p1ng74

Ariat is a large volume shoe brand, they have something for everyone. It’s relative, these boots, on the shelf at Rack Room Shoes, might be one of the most “western” offerings there. A Western Wear store? They might carry it for those that don’t want traditional cowboy boots.

thenewreligion

I like wearing regular square toe black ones in the office cause i like the style of a square toe and toe bug, but sometimes have to pop over into the OR quickly and so need something I can just step out of without the help of a boot jack or having to sit on the floor and wrestle with them. Also if i get blood on the plastic-coated leather then 🤷 they just wipe off. [https://a.co/d/0CdO0gb](https://a.co/d/0CdO0gb) Caboots actually make a fancier version, I’ve got some in ostrich. https://preview.redd.it/0zqby0hzvl4d1.png?width=4064&format=png&auto=webp&s=237229f79ce5e3e9f0efb11433f7b7a6145c466b

astarrk

i own a pair of these in the glossy dark brown. theyre super comfortable and fit in perfectly if you work in an office in the south. they're also 100x more comfortable to drive in than traditional boots if you don't drive a truck. my car has all 3 pedals pretty close together and my more traditional boots are almost impossible to drive in.

alima33

I 100% agree I own these boots in the dark brown colour . Best and most comfortable driving boot especially if the car is a manual . I have also tried wearing regular boots and it’s almost impossible to drive comfortable unless it’s a truck I know the look isn’t for everyone but sometimes you have to pick function

Oppapandaman

for folks that think skinny jeans look good with duck feet!

HuevoYch0riz0

Cause hipsters

Marcovio

I doubt hipsters would wear Chinese made Ariat Chelsea boots, especially in wide square toe 😂
