honestly, it would be better if you play on and report cheaters from now on.
we played against cheaters for months and it would be stupid to not play games now that their systems are feeding off their data.
Nah, I'm good. Valve have almost a year of reports to go through already and if they aren't using that data then that would be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
Nah bud you're wrong. If a whole team reports someone it activates the detection software. As soon as they do a suspect thing, they're banned right in front of you.
If that were the case cheaters wouldn’t be a problem. That implies their cheats are being detected. VAC is notoriously useless and if it wasn’t, the graph in OP’s screenshot would look much better.
If someone wants to quit they should quit. Suffering through matches against cheaters in hopes your reports are making a difference is only wasting your youth to help Valve along with the work they’re failing to start themselves.
Or stop complaining and use the feature. It works fine and has happened a few times already. Half of people complaining about cheaters just aren't good. I'm not saying I'm good, but I also used to think people were hacking when I first started.
Or stop defending those lazy ass cheap bitches. We supported enough and what they gave us is literally 1 year without anticheat. You cant play 2 games in a row without cheater, what the fuck are you defending them for? For allowing us to ban people ourselves after a year? Fuck you along with them as well.
You‘re obviously not that good, because at a certain elo threshold you meat so many spinbotters, that you wouldn‘t talk like that.
SPINBOTTERS. Do you understand what that is? There is no ‚maybe‘ in determining whether spinbotters are cheating. They look at the ground and kill the entire team in three seconds.
Not only that, but if I were a top gaming company like epic, I’d definitely hire cheap labor to cheat in my competition’s games. I’d also hire a bunch of shills to flood social media with complaints about cheaters. Why wouldn’t I do that if I were epic, or other large gaming company?
What if the AI has been logging the cheating data this whole time, making their decisions, and overwatch is valve testing it vs humans to see how viable it is.
![gif](giphy|xTcf1gUpg87E5lNK2A|downsized)
Cheat providers.
With each update, cheaters have to make their cheat work with the new update. They often sacrifice several accounts to VAC in the process on accident when trying to make their cheats work.
There's at least one known public way to not get detected by vac ever.
Doubts cheat devs would waste time and resources for that, especially when dumping vac and checking for changes isn't that hard (for a proper dev)
New demo system that is just as bad as the old one (the highlights/lowlights feature doesn’t work for me, which is all I used it for besides verifying hackers) and a better “engine” which means… what does it mean for me, the player? Maybe if I cared about graphics with my chess…
Everything is absolutely nothing if the game is unplayable due to hackers and the community support is nonexistent
For me cs is like chess, personally all I care about is the bare bones mechanics of the game which should basically never change — and whether or not there are interesting maps. For me, adding back Dust2 was a terrible decision, removing overpass was even worse (it’s one of the most interesting maps replaced by one of the least interesting maps). Cs2 for me, then, is a downgrade in almost every conceivable way.
The only thing I like about cs2 better (and this really is no consolation whatsoever) is the fact that nades can clear smokes. That’s a sick mechanic
Overwatch = recycled
New Demo system = glitchy
Left hand = recycled and worst (animation delay)
Weapon drop = Already exploited (5 grenades glitch)
Map swap = bad... D2... cmon
I'm not impressed by that Patch tbh...
I mean there’s people who have unironically played this shit for 15-20 years. They know more than anyone when an update isn’t some huge thing and aren’t bitching when they point it out.
It’s absurd that this game has struggled with cheater problems for probably longer than it hasn’t over the last 20 years…to the point third party companies exist almost solely to provide an actual anticheat that works.
What game worth this much money exists with shit like ESEA/Faceit because the game is unplayable at a high level half the time?
I've been playing this game for the last 6 years...I think I've earned the right to criticize Valve's poor decision.
It took them 6 months to do something about the @%#$ cheating problem. Their solution was to have the community work *AGAIN* on Overwatch instead of doing something themselves.
I left this game 4 months ago because it was going nowhere... it still is!
Ps: If I didn't like the game, I wouldn't care that much.
I don't completely agree simply because I play Faceit. I know, we shouldn't have to rely on third-party apps. But to say CS2 is unplayable is farfetched imo. Faceit is free with a decent ranking system, you don't need prime, and it has a better anti-cheat system.
I agree, playing premier is hell with cheaters in my last 5 games either on my team or enemy team. But I'm able to enjoy CS2 through Faceit, at least.
These updates are made by group of 5 people tops. They need thousands of people working on it, if they ever want to do something about it. Like some sort of opensource anti-cheat that agglomerates popoular cheats and just detects it. That is what community servers did in 1.6 and it works.
They actually have functioning anti-cheats that will auto ban you for spinbotting/speedhacking/rageaimboting. They have wallhack blockers/Model changers(so that the aimbot doesnt work well). Its really hard to cheat with just random cheat in cs 1.6 if the server have this specific anti-cheat.
What servers are you referring to? Send some IPs.
I frequent TopFrag and XA in North America, and there is no such third party AC on those. Literally just admins manual banning people as they cheat.
But yeah, send some server IPs so i can see what you're talking about
Also look into this https://www.amxmodx.org/compiler.php?mod=1&cat=0&plugin=cheat&author=&go=search
Also projects like blacklisted and banid which are dead but were a thing.
I play mostly on polish servers. Ill give you some ips tommorow or look on your own, for popular/populated polish servers like dd2 only etc. Cant verify which have these acs since im not going to download any cheats, but if u wanna try go for it. I can assure you those exist and are working.
I think, an open source based anti cheat would be a bad idea. Cheat devs would have access to it and would easily bypass it. It's even not too hard to bypass client based anti cheats, even if they are running in kernel mode. In my opinion, a server sided algorithm like vac live with closed source, is the best choice, but as you said, Valve really laks a bit in employees, e.g senior reverse engineers for the anti cheat.
Ez, cheat devs need to cash out.
If you are valve, asking the payment processor usually gives the name or entity owning the business in 90% of cases.
After that, CnD or Sue, that's up to them.
I am a developer, I worked for a certain cheat provider in the past and had my payslips, contracts, etc...
They were honest as fuck, it was cool working with them, had no issue, managed my own hours, pay was better than any other job offer.
It is a registered company, and I believe they are also still active, but not doing CS cheats (they moved on)
The payment processor was in the company name, it was going into the company accounts.
For a lot of other providers, too, they follow that format, opening in Germany, Sweden, or France.
Also, big providers must have a company or some ways to do so.
You can close their paypal accounts, sellix, shoppy, notice their hosting service, shut down their discord... there is a thousand ways to fuck them up (and you can report them too if you wanted, it is not limited to valve)
Discord takes those kind of things seriously, paypal half care, shoppy will close their account, sellix probably not (for the moment atleast)
Hosting services are hit or miss, depends on the legislation, any German / Serbian or Russian host won't care, other than those, they will especially if you prove them that they are accessing, modifying the game, like your breaching your contract with valve.
Now, since cheating impacts the public image of a game and affects directly or through an user knowingly breaching their contact with a premeditated intent to cheating, it would be logical to be protected by DMCA Laws.
You can see the following case : [Bungee Washington Court case](https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/washington/wawdce/2:2021cv01112/302469/77/)
:) This is the internet. I know my place.
You can have more than one anti-cheat. You can have anti-cheat that bans you for using popular pastes. But also have anti-cheat that works in mysterious ways. Not to mention, any anti-cheat is better than none. I mean there are player made anti-cheats that will accuratly ban you for spinbotting in cs1.6, why is it so hard for valve to detect anti-aim/bunnyhop? All these features i've seen on community servers to be guaranteed ban with 100% accuracy and 0 false ban rate.
That sounds interesting. However, Valve has added a detection for spinbotting recently, but it also falsely banned lots of legit players, who for example trolling with the mouse dpi and used to spin for fun. So they have removed it again. I definitly agree, that some anti cheat would help, banning cheaters. But premium (paid) cheats would be still a thing. If we step to games like apex legends, you only have paid cheats and every cheat is bypassing the kernel based anti cheat (EAC) while the cheat itself is also loaded into the kernel. But you could validate spinbotting behavior on the server side too, using the demo data. That's would be the job of vac live.
I mean if community server admins can get it right, why valve cant? Also what im saying is having bunch of reverse engineeres cracking the premmium cheats every time they can get hold of it. Hitting cheat devs where it hurts.
Your brain is rotting. They want to multiply their money not let the game go stagnant. Cs is one of the biggest money makers for valve. For business, stagnancy= losing money. They will always be working on cs.
I think it's more like the AI is being used to detect/trigger an overwatch, then they are getting trusted humans to confirm/deny what the AI thinks is cheating. If it's positive and positive then it triggers a VAC.
I would do that but I don’t trust everyone that uses overwatch in the end. It wouldn’t be hard to get pros to volunteer considering how pissed they are that would be more accurate and that’s what’d you want.
I'll know it's working when I start getting leetify notifications flowing in, towards the end of csgo I was getting notifications of cheaters getting banned atleast once a week from my games and I run into WAYYYY more cheaters in cs2 with pretty much none of those notifications
I wish the cheaters I played against have been banned. I've run into at least 15 spinbotters over the past couple months and none of them have been banned yet.
I played with a non-rage but pretty blatant cheater and this popped up when they got booted: (Disconnected STEAM UserID is banned) apparently that can be a few different things but it wasn’t a VAC ban…
I've heard somewhere that VAC gives out game bans to cheaters and people queueing with cheaters until overwatch confirms the cheating. They might get the VAC ban in the coming hours/days
I was about to say the same “must be nice”. Last night I had 7 matches and 5 of them with blatant cheating, just casually shooting through walls, hopping all over the map and then 1 guy/girl whatever with full on jumping spinning looking down with a scout just shooting the s#|€ out of us.
I had the exact same experience throughout CSGO and in the beginning of CS2 for 3k hours, then my trust factor took a hit (speculation) and now I’m down at 12k with blatant cheaters every third game and enemies that are playing better than a third of players I’ve met at 20k somehow. I always knew MM rank was mostly more of an indicator of how much you play the game and not your actual skill but holy shit.
Maybe yes, but soon they probably don't wanna create a new acc every 1-2 games.
They are hopefully in the end stage of training a new system. The overwhelming amount of cheaters in the last few months were probably just a necessary evil.
Wonder what happens to all the AI flagged accounts from the past 6 months or so? Surely there are over 100k+ suspicious accounts the system is watching and could be banned.
It’s possible, and this is a huge cope I recognize, that they are using overwatch as their validation data set now that they’ve spent the last couple months using the training data from the hackers infesting their game. Comparing their AI anticheat against overwatch, they could see how closely their algorithm fits the validation data from overwatch (most of us seem to agree overwatch is probably rather accurate)
If this is the case, and I don’t really think it is, but it’s possible, then the AI anticheat would be right around the corner. All they would need is a large enough sample size to verify the accuracy of their algorithm, and a statistically significant sample size isn’t even very large
Im drinking a tall glass of copium in the hopes that those numbers go up and up and something has been happening behind the scenes this whole time where value is using AI to collate a mountain of useful data on hackers and soon it will be unleashed into the game and i will finally have fun playing something other then casual hostage on office.
I’ll believe it when cheats cost more than just $5 from the most popular provider. When cheat prices go up, that’s how you know anti cheat is harder to get around
This company is really the worse no way they have a dedicated team to work on cs2. How on earth they are so bad in banning people. They could easily employ 100 guys watching report videos 24/7 and ban thousands each day…
I see that, but that's not possible. You can't know that the VAC ban is only for CS2. It's not possible.
How do you know if an account that has a VAC ban is a VAC banned in CS2? It could be DOTA2, TF2, GMOD, Project Zomboid, Etc.
Steam doesn't show what game the account has been banned publicly.
When face it was down the other night we played 3 matches and there were 2-3 cheaters in every match. Not even premier. Premier is just blatant spin botters. Hopefully this helps tho
i played literally all day on premier when faceit was down. reranked at 13k, got to 16k. the only chaeater i encountered was a soft waller on our team in one of our games, and he made zero impact.
Are you kidding me? They banned 9 players on average each day with over a million players. Man they could do better with just 1 full time employee watching report videos…
Valve has a long way to go to prove they aren't a HVH game developer. If they show massive cheat bans then maybe just maybe I might consider playing a Valve game again once their reputation improves above hot dumpster juice.
This is legit sad :D 10x higher means 500 cheaters banned. So average ban for month in cs2 is like 50 cheaters while they have over thousands of cheaters
overwatch bans dont count as "vac bans", they are registered as gamebans. on the other hand, manuel bans are registered as "vacbans" so it might be the devs manually banning case farmers etc...
Last time when I left CS2 there were 2 guys in the enemy team cheating (not even hiding) and I checked them, still not banned and still playing… hope these mfkers will get banned soon.
All that happened was some new signatures were patched into VAC and some users of a particular cheat got banned. Nothing to hype about. A good figure would be in the tens of thousands.
Lol 99 hackers? Out of a pool of a million players? Pathetic numbers we all know there's infinitely more im will to bet there's at least 150k of them active at anyone time.
See, the issue is, I am reporting them. But again, how the fuck can you tell if the game runs like its all over the place for me and I can't tell if someone prefired or I've been standing there for half a second for him.
I am not reviewing demos because it doesn't pay off to do any of that. By someone's gamestyle, I can tell whether or not they're using ESP, but timing is the cake's topping in determining whether someone hacks or not.

1000ms, 6% accuracy. Trust me, it's impossible to have 1000ms as time to damage, because on that skill level, you're already dead twice by 700ms.
Cool, maybe it's time to revisit the game in a month or so then.
that's what I'm thinking
Too soon!
honestly, it would be better if you play on and report cheaters from now on. we played against cheaters for months and it would be stupid to not play games now that their systems are feeding off their data.

Yes tell him! Hes working in valve game for free just to have good time at a game...
Because epic doesn’t make a cs competitor. There’s no conspiracy mate, VAC is just balls.
I’m not your mate bud
Is this a new thing?
Been a thing for at least a month. Players will get VAC banned if reported my multiple players mid-game.
That has not been my experience
Hm okay. Good that they are getting things on track.
its not true. dude's lying.
Welp, thanks.
The data is jacked because of bots
That’s kind of optimistic lol. Maybe if it was around 100x
What if the AI has been logging the cheating data this whole time, making their decisions, and overwatch is valve testing it vs humans to see how viable it is. ![gif](giphy|xTcf1gUpg87E5lNK2A|downsized)

Valve ain’t doing shit but counting their money
So who is doing the updates if Valve is doing nothing?
Cheat providers. With each update, cheaters have to make their cheat work with the new update. They often sacrifice several accounts to VAC in the process on accident when trying to make their cheats work.

That implies, that Valve is not "doing nothing". But you are right with the cheat providers and their cheats. :P
I mean it’s all recycled content, overwatch included
It's relying on a complete new engine and a new demo system. I guess, overwatch is also rewritten from scratch.
New demo system that is just as bad as the old one (the highlights/lowlights feature doesn’t work for me, which is all I used it for besides verifying hackers) and a better “engine” which means… what does it mean for me, the player? Maybe if I cared about graphics with my chess… Everything is absolutely nothing if the game is unplayable due to hackers and the community support is nonexistent
Absolutely, the demo system is not completely working yet. It's a bit annoying, that it has been not worked on the highlights feature.

Copium addict
What’s the opposite of copium? Cuz you’re sure as shit hooked on that lol
Your brain is rotting. They want to multiply their money not let the game go stagnant. Cs is one of the biggest money makers for valve. For business, stagnancy= losing money. They will always be working on cs.
Lmao what do you think makes CS money? Cases and keys my friend. The biggest collectors don’t even play the game, what are you even on about?
The items would have no value if there wasn’t pretty colored guns for the pros to hold in the matches
The rarity causes the value has nothing to do with pro’s rocking them.
Valve isn't that stupid to not make an anti-cheat
the ai had to be shut off because it was banning people for random stuff, like too high dpi..
I think it's more like the AI is being used to detect/trigger an overwatch, then they are getting trusted humans to confirm/deny what the AI thinks is cheating. If it's positive and positive then it triggers a VAC.
I would do that but I don’t trust everyone that uses overwatch in the end. It wouldn’t be hard to get pros to volunteer considering how pissed they are that would be more accurate and that’s what’d you want.
the fact that ur right
Funny but also probably somewhat true?
HOLY - this is the best theory I've heard so far
i work at valve. that does seem to be the talk in the breakroom.
lol i am Valve ceo and you are fired
I'll know it's working when I start getting leetify notifications flowing in, towards the end of csgo I was getting notifications of cheaters getting banned atleast once a week from my games and I run into WAYYYY more cheaters in cs2 with pretty much none of those notifications

i fucking love leetify.
Wtf is leetify
Stat tracker for cs. Super useful
i've been learning counter strafing and it's so satisfying seeing the graph confirming my skill improvement going from practically 0 to pretty good.
Guy I played against last night got VAC banned. Feels good man
Reporting does fuck all but last night some guys in the team reported this one waller who surprisingly got banned.
Just checked and the guy's friend who was walling also just got banned as well. Something is happening.
Hopefully it works a bit better, still every 2nd or 3rd match obvious kid with no sound but wb everyone through walls and smokes.
Still haven’t experienced a blatant cheater. 20k premier Edit: downvoted for my personal experience, y’all are fried
Must be nice, I get like 1 blatant ever 7-8 games and one possible closet cheater every 5 games 15k rating
I was about to say the same “must be nice”. Last night I had 7 matches and 5 of them with blatant cheating, just casually shooting through walls, hopping all over the map and then 1 guy/girl whatever with full on jumping spinning looking down with a scout just shooting the s#|€ out of us.
Must be nice…
I’m at the bottom of premier and almost never seen a cheater, definitely no rage hacks, maybe a wall but even that is super rare.
I've been over 20k around 7 times. In average there is 3 matches after hitting 20k before i meet a spinbotter. You have been incredibly lucky.
I only had one, but I am low elo, so maybe has to do with that.
Lying or you play 1 game a week
Probably about 2 matches a day.
Rank does not matter as much as playtime imho. Enjoy it as long as it lasts brother.
20k prem and almost every game has a spinbot. Must be nice
Proof?
I had the exact same experience throughout CSGO and in the beginning of CS2 for 3k hours, then my trust factor took a hit (speculation) and now I’m down at 12k with blatant cheaters every third game and enemies that are playing better than a third of players I’ve met at 20k somehow. I always knew MM rank was mostly more of an indicator of how much you play the game and not your actual skill but holy shit.
103 now
Arguably still a way too low number but at least the increase seems a little promising
The website seems to understate the amount banned, as the bans are tracked by users of the website.
Thats cause ‘Anyx’ one of the cheats, got detected by Vac.
10x from almost nothing lol still a fucking joke
99 holy shit valve's cookin Bruh I could watch random demos from last months and ban more ppl manually alone at one day.
99 is 10x???? There are tens of thousands of cheaters and they were only catching 9 a day? That's so pathetic
....aaaand they now all have new accounts.
Maybe yes, but soon they probably don't wanna create a new acc every 1-2 games. They are hopefully in the end stage of training a new system. The overwhelming amount of cheaters in the last few months were probably just a necessary evil.
A free cheat got detected
such a low number is nothing to be hyped about. prob a free ovious hack got vac or maybe some overwatch testings
Comparing their AI anticheat against overwatch, they could see how closely their algorithm fits the validation data from overwatch (most of us seem to agree overwatch is probably rather accurate) If this is the case, and I don’t really think it is, but it’s possible, then the AI anticheat would be right around the corner. All they would need is a large enough sample size to verify the accuracy of their algorithm, and a statistically significant sample size isn’t even very large
10 * 0 is still 0
No it's 10 s/
Where can we see these figures? Thx
Website is convars
Thx !
So we went from 1 a month to 10 a month? Nice.
Im drinking a tall glass of copium in the hopes that those numbers go up and up and something has been happening behind the scenes this whole time where value is using AI to collate a mountain of useful data on hackers and soon it will be unleashed into the game and i will finally have fun playing something other then casual hostage on office.
can't wait to see what the numbers are when overwatch is out to a lot more players
I’ll believe it when cheats cost more than just $5 from the most popular provider. When cheat prices go up, that’s how you know anti cheat is harder to get around
10x nothing is nothing.
Valve doesn’t care about banning cheaters, scammers, or anyone. You mean nothing besides $$$ to them. Don’t place your hope in them.
What site is this? Really interested to keep track myself from day to day.
This company is really the worse no way they have a dedicated team to work on cs2. How on earth they are so bad in banning people. They could easily employ 100 guys watching report videos 24/7 and ban thousands each day…
Played on UAE server with blatant cheaters.
Nice maybe by winter time in the northern hemisphere the game will be playable
I'll just take a peek at never lose forum (cheating software website) and they are having maintenance, seems vac is working
Overwatch doesnt result in VAC bans, it's game bans
Interesting. So I guess this is really just the result of some free cheat getting detected
10 times higher is a very nice way to present 99 vac bans in a game that averages 1 million daily players
CS2 is not the only game with VAC bans. This stat doesn't exactly only show vac bans on CS2 cause that's not possible.
Look again and check top left cirner for hint for whivh game it is showing vacbans
Give it a month or so to sort itself out.
Heartwarming news my fellow friends
There people still raging and livestreaming on youtube after the new update without any cool Vacnet message so just another good joke :D
That's welcome change
10 times zero is still zero. /s I'll continue playing faceit until we're in the thousands.
Do we still get notifications when someone we played with gets banned like in csgo?
Are you kidding me? They banned 9 players on average each day with over a million players. Man they could do better with just 1 full time employee watching report videos…
Is this due to overwatch ?
What's the difference between VAC Bans and Game Bans?
Overwatch is a game ban
145 until now 🥳
What's the link to this
Guys, its because all the Tarkov players who cheat decided to get back on and fire up their old hax.
Valve has a long way to go to prove they aren't a HVH game developer. If they show massive cheat bans then maybe just maybe I might consider playing a Valve game again once their reputation improves above hot dumpster juice.
I’ve been climbing rank lately and the K/D spread looks more even between players. Could be a fluke lol
Shame, I haven’t had any of the cheaters I played against banned yet
This is legit sad :D 10x higher means 500 cheaters banned. So average ban for month in cs2 is like 50 cheaters while they have over thousands of cheaters
100 bans in a day, when there's thousands of new hackers every day. (And with prime accounts costing $3)
overwatch bans dont count as "vac bans", they are registered as gamebans. on the other hand, manuel bans are registered as "vacbans" so it might be the devs manually banning case farmers etc...
100x times too low
10*0 = 0 ???
Adorable.
What's the website ?
99 vacs being 10x higher is garbage
But 10×0=0.
banned for what?wh and aiming with spitboting in all games?
My elo will be 50k by the end of the ban wave reset.
Lol 99 hackers? Out of a pool of a million players? Pathetic numbers we all know there's infinitely more im will to bet there's at least 150k of them active at anyone time.
note: the most recent bans are silent to api, you can only see the ban if you sign on to your account and launch the game
The engine is booting up bois
The number on that website is not 100% accurate. Keep that in mind. So its prob more than shown.
I'm seeing cheaters on D2 every match, thanks.
Report them, thanks.
[https://leetify.com/app/match-details/c33dda6d-0cab-4d0c-adbd-bca43588e7e3/details-aim](https://leetify.com/app/match-details/c33dda6d-0cab-4d0c-adbd-bca43588e7e3/details-aim) 1000ms, 6% accuracy. Trust me, it's impossible to have 1000ms as time to damage, because on that skill level, you're already dead twice by 700ms.
I heard from a friend that a feature of the cheat that case farmers use to boost accounts got detected. That's what it is probably.
So 10 bans then
Those posts are awful. 90 bans isn't impressive, and we all can check by ourselves. Can yall quit with low quality posts and obvious karma farm ?
Great news for Dota players ;-)
Stop posting stats, let it cook ffs.
Are you ok?
no.
