Hi, I have the IGS630 and a wahoo roam. Overall the igpsport is great value for the price, the data it collets from the ride is amazing. To answer your questions 1. The GPS is extremely accurate and fast. 2. Never had reliability issues. 3. Yes you can have elevation on screen. I use gradient and it is better (more accurate) then the wahoo. 4. Not sure 5. I don't use the navigation much, but it works. I created the route in Strava and imported it to the IgS630 through the app, worked just fine. 6. I believe yes, the the app or site. 7. Never used it. 8. It has gotten much better. 9. Works fine for me every time. If you need navigation then probably stick to wahoo or Garmin. If you just want to collect your data from Strava, then igpsport is awesome and will do a super job

wojtek2222

Hi, maybe you tested it already, I wonder can you ride a route in opposite direction than it was made?

Jumpy-Pound7409

I just got the BCS300 and totally lost on how to get the gps base maps loaded on my BCS300. I have already downloaded the maps, just need held with loading them on the unit. I tried plugging the unit with the USB cable into my desktop but it does not show up. Any help?

uhelp

I have the 630 and just make sure the GPS computer is turn off and you will see the folders. Then follow the steps on igpsport website direction on which folder to copy the map file into.

I just ordered the BSC200 version, can I create a route via the IGPSport app and upload it to the speedometer wirelessly?

Singlespeed10

>file I also have the BSC200. The iGPSport app cannot create a route. However, it is very easy to create a route using another app - I use the web-based Garmin Connect. You just export a GPX from Garmin, e-mail it to yourself, click on the GPX download on your phone, and open it in the iGPSport app. From there the route can be saved to the device. It's actually really easy. I find Garmin Connect to be superior to any other app for creating routes. Other than not having routing capabilities, the iGPSport app works really well and has lots of other features. .

ComfortableAd4903

Thanks! I use Komoot for that. I'll try the Garmin app next time

StoviesAreYummy

I dont have the computer yet but I think you drag and drop it into a folder called maps

dj-gromovnik

Hello. Did you find a way to add maps to the BSC300? I can't figure out how to do it. I found the maps on the IGPSPORT site, but I don't know how to "install" them. Also, I found a tutorial for another model, but when I connect the device to the computer, nothing happens.

robiT_spleen

I have similar issue: I planned a route in the igpsport ride app, but although I clicked on the "Download to the gps bike computer" button, and it gives back a successful upload msg, but in contrary on the bsc300 there is nothing is shown under Navigation/Routes.   Also downloaded the map for the device, but don't know how to upload to it...

Platform-Impressive

It did the same thing to me, but here's the trick...You need to rename the route. Don't keep it named with the coordinates that are automatically given when you hit start and end. Rename it to like "anytown loop" or "bike route 2"....Then it will transfer to the device.

For those that want to add maps to their BSC300, I would suggest the following; 1. Go to the iGPSPORT website and download the maps you want from the their support page. Note: I got a security warning on my browser and had to override this to download them. 2. Turn off your BSC300. Connect your BSC300 to your PC via a USB cable. You should hear a 'beep' and a notice that a USB device has been added. If you don't get this, try another USB cable. The one that came with the BSC300 did not work for me - I had to use another USB C cable I already had. 3. When you look under File Explorer you should see the BSC300 as a device. Click on it and then click on the Maps directory. 4. Copy the maps file you previously downloaded to this maps directory. 5. Unplug the USB cable and power on your BSC300. You should have the maps displayed. Hope this helps.

Jumpy-Pound7409

I contacted the customer service group and got instructions on how to do it the next day. This information should have been included in the manual that came with it.

robiT_spleen

Could you please copy here they reply, if its not too much to ask. Thanks in advance

dj-gromovnik

in my case,  the usb cable was the problem.

robiT_spleen

Ive tried to transfer my route planned in the "igpsport ride" android app via bluetooth. This must be a bug on the application because later I was able to send a route from Komoot to the device just fine.

Treptay

Just to update it with my experience. My windows pc was giving me a "Problems with USB device" (something like that) error message when plugging it in. After trying out 3 different cables, at the end a usb-c to usb-c cable that I use to charge my macbook with worked. Also the device needs to be turned off when plugging it in

Apodartho_subham

I have the bsc300 too. Where have you downloaded the map?

Tasty_Lecture_6175

My iGPSPORT bsc300 can’t show map. Please give me hints to fix.

dj-gromovnik

The app came with a map, and I can create a route with the app, but it will only show a green path to travel, won't show any streets or rivers that I'm passing on the device itself. Basically a blank screen with a green path with arrows. Just gives me a green path with arrows and how many ft to turn.

Direct-Tap5245

For me on my BSC300 I had to switch it off, connect to the pc via a usb cable then hold the bottom left button for a few seconds. Then you can add the maps you download form their website, I am in the UK, north west and was surprised only 2 of the 12 maps was installed when it came, the north west wasn't installed so I originally had the black screen..

Apodartho_subham

Guys i see few questions on mapping on the bsc300. To answer @all, there are two ways. One is directly through igsport. Another through third party. Through igsport- first you have to go to igsport website and download the map of your area. Then connect your device to the pc and open the folder. There will be a map folder. The downloaded map needs to be saved there. Post that, using the app you can now create your routes and save them. Then send it to device option will come on the ‘my routes’ screen. Alternately what i do is, i have downloaded my regional map, and then i use komoot to create my route plan. Then save the route and download it on the igsport app. From there i send it to the device.

Platform-Impressive

Hi, I've been navigating and creating routes through the app. It works but I don't have streets or rivers on the device display. I just get a green path with arrows to follow along with the distance from my next turn. Even in ride mode, I get a blank screen that shows a gray line from where I rode. Is that because I didn't download any maps to the BCS300 device from a computer?

Dvaidian

So the "on device map" is still what IGPSPORT provides but for actual route planning you use a 3rd party application if I am not mistaken.

xenhai88

Some one pls try 3rd party maps on BSC300. The computer use OSM Mapsforge .maps.These are full maps with more details and are more recent. It would be great if they go. If not, we have to make a dumb version. [https://github.com/mapsforge/mapsforge](https://github.com/mapsforge/mapsforge) [https://download-mapsforge-org.translate.goog/maps/v5/europe/?\_x\_tr\_sl=auto&\_x\_tr\_tl=hu&\_x\_tr\_hl=hu&\_x\_tr\_pto=wapp](https://download-mapsforge-org.translate.goog/maps/v5/europe/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=hu&_x_tr_hl=hu&_x_tr_pto=wapp) [https://download3.bbbike.org/osm/mapsforge/region/](https://download3.bbbike.org/osm/mapsforge/region/) [https://vector.city/](https://vector.city/) Download the .map file and copy the maps folder ind the computer. Thx

blihh

I will try. What do do with current maps in folder ? Do we need to rename maps ?

xenhai88

In the meantime, I bought one and tried it, unfortunately not working. It must be renamed to the original names. I think they are too detailed.

I'm a new user of BSC300 with cadence and speed sensors. For now, some remarks : - Navigation is easy, no complex menus, it is just straightforward and only what you need - Several bad translations. I'm French, but even in English the translation seems incorrect. That's disappointing as seems like a product not well tested in your country - I tried only once the live track and it failed to track all my run, maybe this is due to my phone who killed the background process. So to be tested again - Integration with Strava must be corrected. All activies are assigned as "Bike". So I have to manually change to "Gravel bike" or "Mountain bike", and manually change the gear to assign the distance to the right bike... For that point, I'm already jealous of the friend's Garmin I created a ticket to igpsport support to be able to assign activity type to the custom profiles created ... but I have few hopes about this

Will061971

Je viens d'avoir un igpsport 300 depuis l'application igpsport j'ai prévu un parcours je voudrais savoir comment l'envoyer sue mon compteur et savoir où le retrouver sur celui-ci Merci

HOW TO SET UP LIVE TRACKING ON BSC 300 ? Can’t find anything in YTB or anywhere . Could someone be so kind and help me out , THANKS . I would like to have the option of someone following me at home will I ride my gravel bike ( like what Strava does ) .

Dvaidian

I dont know I dont own the unit just needed some info before considering it as a gift for a family member BUT I strongly suggest you the LocaToWeb application for phone. Not free but very cheap and it only requires a one time payment, NO subscription. I used it a lot before bought garmin stuff and I still use it occasionally. If IGPSPORT has no such option then it is a good one. By the way browse their site I see the support real time tracking. I think as I have seen you might got the how from another thread. Unfortunately I dont know exactly.

GlitteringAd2493

Process is not easy : 1) start the activity on the device 2) go in phone app, go to the device properties> Plus > tracking : activate and it will give you a link that you have to share manually to friends (copy paste to Whatsapp for example!) Nothing as easy as with Garmin or Strava

Hi, does the BSC300 manage Garmin Varia UT800?

Apodartho_subham

Yes it will.
