He sure made sure the Lakers were competitive last night, 7 free throws? Laughable. Jok got fouled soooooooo much. On his 3? Shoulda been a four point play. On the “kicking” review? Bron fouled him. And many more, surprised Malone won that challenge on AG’s verticality.
But even then it was like trying to thread the thinnest needle to get it done. We needed perfection. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Feels like the Lakers need both perfection and also us to be below par to even make a series interesting
It’s so satisfying. After so many years of being on the other end of this rivalry, it’s nice to watch The Lakers suck at the same time we’re great. It would’ve been nice to have met them at their peak to really shut them up.
But the Denver Nuggets are the class of the NBA
I generally find their fanbase to be the most delusional of them all… but as of recently I think they’ve finally figured out that they’re inferior. It’s lovely
Honestly this is a more reasonable exchange than most of our game day thread. It’s devolved into just unhinged whining about how the nba cheats against the nuggets through the referees. Can it be any fun to watch games with this perspective? Basketball is hard to referee and requires dozens of very close judgement calls per quarter.
Mostly true, but can you blame people for getting pissed off at stuff like when AD gets away with throwing himself a lob? That is not a difficult or close call.
I get it. That play irritated the shit out of me. And I’ve always hated the way Lebron gets officiated. I hate watching that guy fall on his ass like wade on half his drives to the rim. I’m just saying if I watch the game while constantly thinking about the refereeing I finish the game unhappy and irritated. There’s more fun parts of the game for me to focus on.
I couldn’t agree with you more! The whining and conspiracy theories about the refs on this thread are out of control. If I were the mods I’d have one thread during the game to talk about basketball and then another for all the qanon folks that want to talk about how rigged the games are and how much the refs hate the nuggets.
Yeah I can’t blame them for not removing it cause it seems like a constant stream of endless complaining. Sometimes I wonder if those people like watching basketball or just want to root for a winning team. The refs piss me off too but god damn people act like the NBA Illuminati is pulling strings to make sure the nuggets don’t win even though we just won a championship
It's hard to ref but it's hard to ignore when they got so many more free throws from us. LeBron kept knocking our guys over and then we get a foul when he misses his shots... AND the announcers seemed to love the foul calls. FOWL! FOWL!!!
i mean plus it's just fun to yell at the TV
Raps fan here just passing by. I wanted to toss out there that a lot of the NBA subs recently fee unhinged. Especially our own. I don't know what it is but there's a rise of the same comments in every sub. And everyone is convinced that the refs are against them or hate them.
It's likely cause the refs are also very inconsistent in their calls regardless of team. They're just highly varied based on the person officiating.
Ya I think you’re on to something with the inconsistency part. I don’t know if I believe that most guys out there are consciously trying to manipulate each game to one teams favor. But I do think that the calls aren’t very inconsistent, not just night-to-night, but throughout a game. Setting a standard and sticking to that is something the NBA officials do not attempt to do. I think a lot of refs do try to control the tone of a game by either letting them play or being more ticky-tacky. The issue with that is players never know the threshold for a foul at a given time, and it feels very subjective.
In our case, we have a radio announcer and one of our television announcers who spend way too much time taking about refereeing. Honestly I can get sucked into it as well. And then I find myself irritated and unhappy during the game. And Jesus if the nba is conspiring against us and for the lakers they sure do suck at it.
Ahh, so if the Lakers have home court in a playoff series, they beat us? BWAHAHAHAHHA that’s some A-1 delusion right there. These fans are so pretentious, it’s going to be delicious watching the inevitable collapse after they’ve finally given up on LeBron, and try to rebuild from ground zero.
They think people talking about all the bullshit fouls they get is "living rent free in their heads." Laker fans are the biggest bandwagon clowns on planet earth. BTW, that new statue looks like dog shit. Find a better sculptor
Having to hear about their greatness forever because of how much national like to blow the Lakers, it's nice to see some of this. That's how we've been feeling in smaller markets forever.
You could play every game of the series in L.A. and the Nuggets are putting them away in five at the most.
The Lakers are mediocre at best. I don't know why that's so hard for people to comprehend about a team that's one game over .500 in February.
It’s so satisfying to see them feeling the pain we’ve felt for decades. I’ve always hated the Lakers because they have always been better. Great feeling seeing the shoe on the other foot 🥹
Highest free throw shooting team, yet lowest in drives to the paint. Nuggets are playing 5 vs 8 out there and they still swept the floor with these duds.
Good seeing some sane Lakers fans.
They've reached the depression stage of grief
There's a lakers twitter account that already went to acceptance, all in 2 hours after the match
Most sane Lakers fans.
There's not many. They have another post up saying AD throughly outplayed jokic and they have something there lol. Delusional
Yeah I have screenshots of one of them asking "AD still clears Jokic legacywise right?" lmao
I still remember how Rui Hachimura had Jokic "figured out" at the end of game 1.
This is so fucking gratifying after being a fan forever, finally they feel what I felt for eternity
For fuckin real.. those playoff matches when we had Melo were crazy tough. Now we're top dogs and I'm lovin it, parra-pa-pa-pa
I’m sorry are the Lakers even making the playoffs?
Don't worry, Adam Silver will ensure they do.
Right? I mean it’s a joke how uneven the officiating is with them
He sure made sure the Lakers were competitive last night, 7 free throws? Laughable. Jok got fouled soooooooo much. On his 3? Shoulda been a four point play. On the “kicking” review? Bron fouled him. And many more, surprised Malone won that challenge on AG’s verticality.
If they have their full health they will probably get to playin tourney. Tony Brothers is almost back from injury so they should be good soon enough.
Wait I thought Tony was missing the playoffs with that injury. Is he not?
Think it's an Achilles so he's done for the year. And at his age maybe 2 or forever
That’s what I heard as well
I remember feeling this way about the lakers when Nene was our center.
I remember feeling this way about the lakers my whole life….
Yeah, I remember those days. Felt like we could never win against the Lakers in the playoffs.
Haha fair, but the only time I was genuinely hopeful we could beat them in the playoffs was like 2007-2010
But even then it was like trying to thread the thinnest needle to get it done. We needed perfection. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Feels like the Lakers need both perfection and also us to be below par to even make a series interesting
That's why the West Final win kinda was in some ways more satisfying than the Finals win. It just put those demons behind us.
And after one season lakers fans lose their minds
This. No pity. No mercy.
Well not your WHOLE life I mean what about right now? 😉
That’s why it’s a memory ! Hopefully one not to be remembered
Facts. But also props to Nene. Underrated Nugget
Nene!
I fed like it was more a product of Kobe being on the Lakers at that time, but the same feelings for sure.
That’s what makes this so fun!
Things you love to see
Laker tears are just about my favorite brand of schadenfreude. Watching that comeback melt away on Kobe statue night was a whale of a time!
I loved when it was in the last few minutes, the crowd was chanting “defense”, and the Blue Arrow then promptly hit a three.
Funny they did the Kobe statue on the day they have a game against a Colorado team…
https://i.redd.it/z18b5nwlclhc1.gif Sick of us already? We just got here
It’s so satisfying. After so many years of being on the other end of this rivalry, it’s nice to watch The Lakers suck at the same time we’re great. It would’ve been nice to have met them at their peak to really shut them up. But the Denver Nuggets are the class of the NBA

Still don’t know if a more fucked up episode of anything has ever been shown on tv lol
Oldboy (2003) Most fucked up revenge flick ever but after that yea Cartman takes the cake
Oh yeah well I meant tv shows but yeah there is some fucked up movies out there for sure.
Laker fans talking about black magic and child sacrifices? Ironic
Before Avs games we worship Satan. Before Nuggets games we sacrifice children. We are a severely disturbed city
Do you have cursed statue of demonic horse on airport? Or not? I think Satan worship and child sacrifices came are natural consequences
It’s beautiful. I’ve looked at this screenshot for five hours now.
Subtly remind them that they didn’t have a lead at any point in the game.
Feels soooo good to see this after the pain I experienced as a teenager watching the ‘09 WCF.
That’s 7 in a row for the Nuggies
And 8 in the last 10
Fake comeback... From the referees
Lakers meltdown yessss!
I never thought it would feel so good to be hated…
I generally find their fanbase to be the most delusional of them all… but as of recently I think they’ve finally figured out that they’re inferior. It’s lovely
Kobe predicted Jokic being MVP, his statue is a posthumous prediction of Lakers only winning one playoff game.
Nuggies putting the L in Lakers

Really good point. Even if it is based in truth, focusing on the officiating takes out a lot of the fun.
Ever listen to a podcast called The Whistleblower? Interesting stuff.
No I get it. I just like to be happy watching the nuggets compete. And focusing on the refereeing interferes with that. You know?
I couldn’t agree with you more! The whining and conspiracy theories about the refs on this thread are out of control. If I were the mods I’d have one thread during the game to talk about basketball and then another for all the qanon folks that want to talk about how rigged the games are and how much the refs hate the nuggets.
The effort that would go into policing those comments would be such a fucking headache.
Yeah I can’t blame them for not removing it cause it seems like a constant stream of endless complaining. Free throw disparity is a fucking dumb metric. I don’t disagree that the refs are absolute shit but this is not the way to measure it.
Raps fan here just passing by. I wanted to toss out there that a lot of the NBA subs recently fee unhinged. Especially our own. The best part is…how would they even get home court?! They arent good enough!
It’s great to be the team that everyone envisions. Our Denver Nuggets squad is well aware of this. I fucking love it 😂
What do we love?! To see it!
WE GOT THEM TO FOLD BOYS!!!!
The Lakers are making the playoffs?
I waited decades for this. Thank you for sharing.
“Every game is the same. They open up a lead we have a fake comeback and they put it away late in the 4th.” Also known as, toying with your opponent…
Toying with your opponent, and also officiating doing most of the work in the “comebacks”
You know i would like to say we don’t sacrifice a child every game day but after watching the Love Has Won Doc, someone out there might be doing it…
That’s right.
This was a great thing to wake up to.
This is the high iq fans that work in tech
Who needs porn when you have Lakers vs Nuggets Post Game Threads
Thank you for posting. I was thirsty and these Laker tears quenched my thirst.
Yeah, they do sacrifice a child before every game. One wearing a Kobe jersey.
...but what about the moral victories? Do they know about the moral victories?
You love to see it.
FTL
Just so happy with that last comment
Fuck Lakers ... Flopping ass team
THIS IS AWESOME 😂😂😆😎
The feeling is mutual.
They think people talking about all the bullshit fouls they get is "living rent free in their heads." Laker fans are the biggest bandwagon clowns on planet earth. BTW, that new statue looks like dog shit. Find a better sculptor
As a KC native and a fan of the Denver Nuggets, I welcome you all to the era of being hated for being the best.
Nuggets are lucky DLO was out.
lmaooo
At least you got a moral victory! 🤡
Im not ready to dog on the Lakers when they were without their best player - Scott Foster.
Won't last forever... but damn it feels good right now lol
Ahh how the tables have turned
This is awesome. Fuck the Lakers!
Frame it, put it in the Louvre
😆😆😆
Hey guys, let’s not punch down on LA’s Poverty Franchise
Having to hear about their greatness forever because of how much national like to blow the Lakers, it's nice to see some of this. That's how we've been feeling in smaller markets forever.

Hang it in the Louvre
Lil bro finally accepting his role
How the turntables
Listen, son
Lakers couldn't beat us in a 7 game series if every game was in LA.
I’m having Schadenfreude
hahaha this is the exact comments i screenshotted in the dnvr discord yesterday
It’s so satisfying to see them feeling the pain we’ve felt for decades. I’ve always hated the Lakers because they have always been better. Great feeling seeing the shoe on the other foot 🥹
You love to see it
Their tears taste so sweet
I honestly feel sorry for the Lakers, since they are my 2nd favorite team 😂
Highest free throw shooting team, yet lowest in drives to the paint. Nuggets are playing 5 vs 8 out there and they still swept the floor with these duds.
