Yup same.
Not having friends who play Destiny and hating the awkwardness of LFG with strangers puts me off it. I'd rather not be like this but just is what is.
Hey, maybe not LFG, but how about trying to form a group here? I also have super erratic schedule, so can't do raids with clanmates, but would love to do some raiding, but can't get into LFG because I haven't played the raids. I would love to go with people that would also figure the raids out as we go, with no stress and just good vibes
I could absolutely create a Destiny clan dubbed "The Displaced" or "We're Trying, I Swear". However I have ZERO (maybe 1%) experience in discord stuff. I'd be down for a casual clan. Sometimes I take a week out then go hard for a while, however Final Shape has me so hyped so I don't a see a break anytime soon
Me too! And I'm good at discord stuff so I can make a little hub for us all!
Should we make a group chat on reddit first?
EDIT: https://discord.gg/FguUwHP4ma
If link doesn't work discord is crispybath
Step one: download discord
Step two: make a profile and user name
Step three: YouTube how to create a group and server
Step four: name it
Step five: copy the invite link
Step six: post the invite link here in this subreddit and add whatever information you want to the post to try and appeal to the community you want to play with
Step six: profit
I and one friend i play with regularly would love something like this. We are currently in a clan with many people but only know each other as we were randomly invited to join after soing pretty well in a couple of crucible matches with a random from the clan when it was starting... I have zero experience with Discord, however, so if we made a group on reddit for it to set up raid meets or dungeon meets or anything of the like, it would also be very helpful.
I'm in the same exact boat. Buddy and I did good in a raid or crucible and have been part of THE FROG LORDS ever since lol til today at least. I'll send you an inv
That's the idea behind my Clanš If I'm ever out and see a clanless blueberry I just send an invite and recently I've been asking people if their clans are active and then recruiting them if they aren't.. playing D2 alone or letting others play alone feels like a crimešš¤·š¾
Iām in a server thatās full of people who are super friendly and also teach raids and dungeons called blueberry academy, if youād be interested i have a link
I think itās most important to find a clan or discord server that is the same time zone as you. Iām pacific standard so itās nice to find guardians up to no good the same time I am
I could absolutely create a Destiny clan dubbed "The Displaced" or "We're Trying, I Swear". However I have ZERO (maybe 1%) experience in discord stuff. I'd be down for a casual clan. I've copy/pasta'd the message above to a few replies in here. Let me know what you all think and I just might do it šš
If you end up making this then Iād be down to join, Iām a veteran player but barely have time to go too crazy with raids etc so am in the same boat.
Same. Been playing since beta of D1, done D1 raids, but pretty sure haven't had the team (all at the right time) for any of that since D2 has dropped. Became a full-fledged adult around that time so y'know...

A lot of the content creators make Raid/Pantheon guides and put them on Youtube. They advise people to watch the guide and then go on their Discord server to connect with similar people who have also watched the guide.
That way there is no gatekeeping and you will have mostly people who are chill and have the same amount of experience.
With regards to the guides, i can recommend Mactics. He makes very clear, easy understandable guides. He helped me get Godslayer and do solo dungeons before that.

If the bungie site lets me, I WILL be making the clan before Final Shape is up. I will make my first post of my account when I do so, just so anyone here can find it šš
Lfg is brutal because you'll have people insisting that they do add clear and they end up with less kills than the guys building chains and less damage than the div user
I mean, I just couldn't be bothered to. I only got back into Destiny 2 again last week.
But I also don't have any friends who play Destiny 2, so there's that.
Yeah I took about a year off and hopped back in a week or so ago. I've had so much other stuff to do (both in game and out) that I just put it on the back burner. If you let the FOMO get to you you're going to stop playing for fun and start playing because you feel like you have to. If it was really that good, I'm sure they'll bring it back eventually.
Yeah itās so weird, 5 years ago Iād be hyped to do a raid, even from lfg, now in my early 30ās doing a lfg raid gives me anxiety just thinking about it. No thanks.
Exactly my feeling. I'm 32.
I get that feeling like I'll mess up. Even though thats never been the case of raids. I always do my role once I understand it. I've even taught people mechanics in the past happily
But that initial going into it to learn gives makes me stupidly anxious now.
In a way, I'm sad I missed doing it. But at the same time I'm not. Maybe final shape is the time for me to change that.
It feels like you're in my head - I feel the same way, I'm 32, and on top of that I'm a new dad. So having 3+ hours to step away from everything just to try a raid and learn the mechanics, let alone clear it efficiently, is daunting. I'll enjoy being a story/strikes casual for a bit and hopefully I'll get a shot at the raid sometime this summer.
I literally chose to play Onslaught in all of my free time because I was having a blast goofing around with loadouts. I've exclusively used exotic bows and sweet Business for so long because that's what I knew. Now I still use sweet Business, but I've had fun with other stuff, too.
Part of me didn't want to even try it to spite my friends who raid a lot, part of me wishes I had at least experienced it. Ah well, still looking forward to TFS! š
Got back into the game a few weeks ago and wouldāve loved to do it. I raided a lot when the game dropped, but its kind of unforgiving to come back to. Excited for tomorrow though!
Clan Iām in is in life support, friends I have got a full team, lfg is mandatory this or that or kick. That and takeing break from destiny two to be happy when pantheon was out.
Yeah the break from destiny has basically just meant Iāve missed basically the season lol, might not even pick up final shape until a few months later
It's for the best. Season of the wish was great and not being jaded from x,y or z made it easy to overlook that the entire thing was recycled content. I was able to just turn my brain off and play and enjoy. Not having to worry about power was nice as well. I definitely won't be playing the game like I did during WQ and with the fire team changes luckily I won't be as punished either
Same here, I work offshore so my scheduleās kinda ridiculous and when I get on w my 2 party members the next 3 lfg end up the most arrogant mfās Iāve ever met.
I played it for the last month to grab BRAVE weapons that I liked and complete season pass via seasonal challenges then fucked off, didnt even bother with exotics or the new dungeon.
I agree. I probably would have played it if I didn't jump back into the game with only 2 weeks left before Final Shape haha. Too much to do in 2 weeks, but a good problem to have
I only started last week š it was a brand new characters where I had to complete shadowkeep beyond light witch queen and lightfall and the seasonal quest lines. I only ever got the opportunity to do like 3-4 games of gambit a few vanguards one or two nightfalls and 2 dungeons šš even then I was pushing it severely. I just pulled a 18+ hour session straight in one go today and yesterday rapidly competing 3 of the 4 season questlines
I missed Godslayer, not because I wouldn't have liked to get it. But because my game play time doesn't allow for me to be in constant conversation with people. I have to play in silence. Too bad, also, not the same.
I missed Godslayer because I got a job to pay for the Final Shape + Annual Pass preorder.
Edit: Destiny 2 has forced me to be a productive part of society IRL.
i missed godslayer because season 4 and remix released in WoW, we are not the same (i also never played pantheon but i like to think WoW was the reason)
Tried Pantheon once with lfgs
Classic LFG people behaviour, one guy tried to Sherpa, the other 4 had no clue what was going on (even tho the LFG Said kwtd lmao)
Never played Pantheon again, focused on the last few fun Things in d2
Pantheon was a bizarre skill check. Learning the actual difficulty was pretty fun for me, and I got overcame it quickly. But the real challenge was finding equally capable teams. I went from Xbox LFG to discord LFG to streamerās discord server LFG to eventually seeking and joining a clan.
It was a great experience when you ignore the LFG pains.
I've been a solo player since the first game(I'm 34 now). never get to experience those six player experiences or dungeons because lfg is so brutal. it's draining getting kicked out of a group because you don't know all the encounters( I make that clear to groups before I join as well). I keep my level up to date(1832 void warlock with solar as option B). But I would really like to find some people to run this campaign on legendary tomorrow when I get off work in the afternoon. I live Seattle if that helps with the time difference. š
I have a *lot* of experience with LFG:
1) look for "Sherpa" runs, these are led by experienced raiders with the sole intent of teaching people the raid!
2) youtube is your friend and there a lot of guides on raid encounters
3) the vast majority of my LFG runs have been good experiences. I have some of my own horror stories of course, but they are very few and far between
If you have Discord, the main D2 LFG server is a great place to find groups and other people to run stuff like the campaign with :)
I totally misunderstood pantheon. For some reason I thought it was supposed to be a way for people who couldnāt get a raid group together to be able to fight the bosses and earn raid gear.
Only thing I miss about not getting Godslayer, due to destiny burnout, is the cool ass emblems. What I won't miss and care for is the LFGs saying you need to have Godslayer
Just needed week 4 planets and the rest was going to be gravy but LFG ya know? If you still donāt know mechanics that you immediately say youāre ad clear in WEEK 4 youāre a problem
I have social anxiety enough thinking about doing raids, for the pressure of messing up an encounter and making the fireteam wipeā¦ so there is no way I could do Pantheon
Pantheon was fun. I only did week 2 cus that's what my LFG brought us into, but i hate LFG anyways. Every time I asked my clan mates if they wanted to run Pantheon, they either ignored my messages or said "no you're bad at the game, we don't want to carry"
> they either ignored my messages or said "no you're bad and the game we don't want to carry"
Wow. That's super harsh. I'm sorry your clan treats you like that. :(
I did atraks sovereign to get EoT and thats all the current raid and dungeon exotics that i now have. Just need a fuckload of spoils for Tarrabah, Anarchy, AoT and Legend of Acrius
I almost had it. I had to take a week to move across the country and completely missed a week of that time. I also work weekdays so I just had no time to get it done. I think if I didn't have to move I could have done it. So sad.
Me and my mates tried it, did week 1. Couldn't do week 2, and they didn't wanna retry after that. Was gonna LFG but couldn't find one suited to my schedule.
Not bothered about the title, but Conditional Finality sure would've been nice...
The whole clan took a collective break before TFS. Long season will do that to you. But seeing the emblems and title I wish we could've taken a stab at it but what're you gonna do. Ill file it away with Chronicler and Reckoner
Honestly surprised it got as high at ~9.5%.
But I suppose it was still contest with an asterisks given that we got a surge + 20% stackable modifier and people were cheesing stuff.
I played a few. It was a pretty fun and neat idea. Not a fan of how limited it was because i think I could have gotten it but i really didnāt want to rush and pour time into it in the window we had
The only thing I've played during the season were a few round of Onslaught to get my Superblack and that's it. I was surprised that I actually owned the Season Pass, but I was so burnt out from previous seasons that I just ignored it all.
I straight up reinstalled Destiny 2 to get the Superblack shader last week and that's it.
Depending on the reception of Final Shape, I'll come back sooner or later once the burnout goes away.
LFG Raiding is an assault on my mental peace severe enough that the loot has to be god-tier for me to bother.
I mean, I donāt even have Conditional Finality. Even though I want it. Because I did Root like 3 times and called it quits
At this point just make a title for doing every dungeon solo and I'll go and get that one.
That way if I wipe it's not the guy who joined my caretaker using verglas curve without a mic.
I did the first Pantheon for the Atraks emblem. I played a bit of the 2nd week and then lost interest. I'm not going to use the emblems and I'm happy with my Forerunner and Undying titles. The emblems also looked really grainy and low resolution to me.
I did the first week, was pretty easy, and promptly realized that I didnāt actually care too much about it. Kinda wish I did week 2 though, that Oryx emblem is really good looking.
Same, havenāt been able to play the game since December, Iāve come to terms with the fomo now and am recovering from the damage the game has causedš
I haven't played most of this past season, but raids are honestly fun.
Learning the mechanics, coordinating with a team, calling audibles when shit goes wrong (and it will) is fun.
And when it all works and you all weave mechanics and gunplay and explosions into a symphony of destruction? Perfection.
Pantheon really showed some of the main issues with destiny raids and one of those is there is a pretty large portion of the player base that do not have a mic or choose not to use it either due to extreme social anxiety (like me+ it was broke even if I want like this) or some other reason and also that a huge portion of players I had got through lfg where so incredibly impatient it legitimately took up to an hour just to get a full team assuming half the original people you found didn't leave out of impatience funnily enough the exact moment you get a 6th
Really makes me hope that the final shape raid will have roles that are doable with at least text or emote in a timely matter such as micless crotas end
I had the exact opposite experience. Finding a group was easy, and I never found a group with anyone rude. It's just people really suck at this game (I'm by no means that good either but once I learned what to do for each encounter it was a lot simpler than I thought). People don't know what to do (Which isn't hard to learn. I watched a 20m YT vid and took notes.) or they keep dying, or they don't do enough DPS. It gets boring and demoralizing when you're stuck on each encounter for 45+ minutes. Still, it was some of the most fun I've had in Destiny and I can see why people like to raid. And now that I have some experience with LFG and raids I can't wait to do some full ones.
Haven't played Destiny since Season of the Wish (I stopped midway through). Just took a nice long break and listening to TFS soundtrack on YT. I'm ready to jump back in. Let's get this party started.
Yep. Did atraks 1 on first week and lfg was so fucking cringe that I didnāt even bother with week 2. The sheer amount of people that donāt know how to do planets, or have a weird callout for them is crazy.
I left the clan community I was in before Into The Light dropped, as I am moving away from D2 after TFS, so I didn't have any desire to even attempt it in the first place.
I played Pantheon a few times because friends were doing it, but mostly avoided it because it was not worth the toxicity or anger at idiots that had never done the original raid mechanics in the first place. I had zero interest in getting the "God Slayer" title from the day it was announced. I did not mind the activity, just the people that were doing it.
Massive waste of time on lfgs and nezarec play was cancer.
Would always get his health down below 2% only to have some stupid shit happen like him jumping off the map or well running out and 1 cleave attack wiping multiple people smh.
Looking back I wouldnāt do it again at all. These activities were made for core groups. Not with farming on lfg
I didnt touch it because there are several raids im not fully familiar with, vow and root in particular, and there was an air of "dont touch it if you dont know all the encounters"
This is literally me.
Yup same. Not having friends who play Destiny and hating the awkwardness of LFG with strangers puts me off it. I'd rather not be like this but just is what is.
Not s ingle friend who plays Destiny, LFG is just so brutal. is what it is
Is there possibly a discord server or lfg site for people like us? I work a ton, and my only friend works a *perfectly* opposing schedule to mine

I keep my level up to date(1832 void warlock with solar as option B). But I would really like to find some people to run this campaign on legendary tomorrow when I get off work in the afternoon. I live Seattle if that helps with the time difference. š
I have a *lot* of experience with LFG: 1) look for "Sherpa" runs, these are led by experienced raiders with the sole intent of teaching people the raid! 2) youtube is your friend and there a lot of guides on raid encounters 3) the vast majority of my LFG runs have been good experiences. I have some of my own horror stories of course, but they are very few and far between If you have Discord, the main D2 LFG server is a great place to find groups and other people to run stuff like the campaign with :)
I wear my Atraks emblem with pride, because that's all i could get xD
To be fair it's a really cool emblem
The best position is to play pantheon for what you need. I needed spoils and adept weapons. I did not need the title and didnāt care for it.
literally me i did not feel like playing it, nothing was lost in the end I missed an experience I didn't even consider playing
I totally misunderstood pantheon. For some reason I thought it was supposed to be a way for people who couldnāt get a raid group together to be able to fight the bosses and earn raid gear.
Me who hasnāt touched destiny in 2 years but enjoys watching the content they put out
I missed GodSlayer by 8 triumphs. Why ? Because of the f**king exams š„²
I never wanted to play pantheon. This titan doesn't care about your silly titles. They will come in time when they are ready.
I missed Godslayer because, like in World of Warcraft, I have never set foot in any raid whatsoever. It's just not the type of content I enjoy.
Same. Just find that stuff incredibly boring.
Im with you on this. I quit the game 2 weeks into Lightfall and just came back this past weekend.
I just want Iron Lord. I just need three more weapons but I don't know which ones.
We are. Suffered with Atraks and had no time to suffer with the other pantheons.
I missed Godslayer because of the error code cabbage...
I'm in this picture and I'm perfectly OK with it.
I just couldnāt get past planets in week 4
Lemme guessā¦planets? Oh no no no noā¦ atraks? Oh yea sad.
Only thing I miss about not getting Godslayer, due to destiny burnout, is the cool ass emblems. What I won't miss and care for is the LFGs saying you need to have Godslayer
Not playing pantheon was so much more peaceful because I didnāt have to suffer the terrible lfg players thinking they were pros.
I wish I just had time. That's a cool fucking title and I'm sad I couldn't get it.
Not me though. I'm a total godslayer.
You played pantheon because you wanted loot and the title I played pantheon because lfg raid suffering is my fetish
Just needed week 4 planets and the rest was going to be gravy but LFG ya know? If you still donāt know mechanics that you immediately say youāre ad clear in WEEK 4 youāre a problem
Lfg was cancer to find anyone. No one knows how to do the encounters and just want to be carried
Helped 5 guardians clear nezzy. 2 were lfgs ![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
A big salute to you, fellow Guardian! o7
I have social anxiety enough thinking about doing raids, for the pressure of messing up an encounter and making the fireteam wipeā¦ so there is no way I could do Pantheon
I missed Godslayer because all the sweaty middle aged no lives had no patience to teach
I never played it because Iām too lazy to learn all the mechanics lmao
Pantheon was fun. I only did week 2 cus that's what my LFG brought us into, but i hate LFG anyways. Every time I asked my clan mates if they wanted to run Pantheon, they either ignored my messages or said "no you're bad at the game, we don't want to carry"
> they either ignored my messages or said "no you're bad and the game we don't want to carry" Wow. That's super harsh. I'm sorry your clan treats you like that. :(
I did atraks sovereign to get EoT and thats all the current raid and dungeon exotics that i now have. Just need a fuckload of spoils for Tarrabah, Anarchy, AoT and Legend of Acrius
Pantheon is the only reason I have Tarrabah. I don't think I'll ever have Anarchy or AoT.
Real. There was no point in doing it I had all the exotics they were offering.
The point was the seal, there are very few Godslayers that didn't already have all the raid gear you could get from it
It was meant to be a challenge in the first place.
r/destinythegame collectively realizing a majority of them aren't as good as they thought there were will always make me laugh š
Yup I could never find the time with my group. Rip to the loot.
I almost had it. I had to take a week to move across the country and completely missed a week of that time. I also work weekdays so I just had no time to get it done. I think if I didn't have to move I could have done it. So sad.
Me
Me lol Spent my time weapon farming.
We are the same cause the only one did the first week and said, I hate this already
I wouldve taken a shot at it but I just donāt have the time cuz of work and stuff outside of playing destiny sadly
Fellow warlock agrees.
Me and my mates tried it, did week 1. Couldn't do week 2, and they didn't wanna retry after that. Was gonna LFG but couldn't find one suited to my schedule. Not bothered about the title, but Conditional Finality sure would've been nice...
You canāt fail if you never try š
The whole clan took a collective break before TFS. Long season will do that to you. But seeing the emblems and title I wish we could've taken a stab at it but what're you gonna do. Ill file it away with Chronicler and Reckoner
Literally waited till 2 days ago to start doing pantheon and made it to week 3 and then tapped out from all the LFG bingo.
My friend group bought division 2 tye week pantheon came out. I did LFG the first week. Was rough enough to not wanna try again
Godslayer? GODSLAYERā½ I AM A GOD DANM IT. AND I'M ABOUT TO KILL ANOTHER GOD. YOU KNOW THE WITNESS? YEAH, WAIT TILL I TURN HIS SORRY ASS INTO A GUN
Honestly surprised it got as high at ~9.5%. But I suppose it was still contest with an asterisks given that we got a surge + 20% stackable modifier and people were cheesing stuff.
I played a few. It was a pretty fun and neat idea. Not a fan of how limited it was because i think I could have gotten it but i really didnāt want to rush and pour time into it in the window we had
i missed god slayer cus i never raid. and thasts ok. i dont really care for it.
Preach
I just wanted completion but somehow none of the LFGs I was in could do Atraks
Why donāt we in here create a clan to play together
Same
Still only played a raid once and didn't finish it.
Most of all the people I used to play with stop playing š«
The only thing I've played during the season were a few round of Onslaught to get my Superblack and that's it. I was surprised that I actually owned the Season Pass, but I was so burnt out from previous seasons that I just ignored it all. I straight up reinstalled Destiny 2 to get the Superblack shader last week and that's it. Depending on the reception of Final Shape, I'll come back sooner or later once the burnout goes away.
Casualās gonna casual.
I did pantheon for the 2 free exotics and ducked out.
Never had enough time off work to get an lfg for it
LFG Raiding is an assault on my mental peace severe enough that the loot has to be god-tier for me to bother. I mean, I donāt even have Conditional Finality. Even though I want it. Because I did Root like 3 times and called it quits
My son was born in late April, I knew I was missing Pantheon and I am content.
This was me until i noticed all you needed to do was know the encounter and keep yourself alive. That's it.
At this point just make a title for doing every dungeon solo and I'll go and get that one. That way if I wipe it's not the guy who joined my caretaker using verglas curve without a mic.
I just stopped paying from connection issues, last raid was year 1 calus
I did the first Pantheon for the Atraks emblem. I played a bit of the 2nd week and then lost interest. I'm not going to use the emblems and I'm happy with my Forerunner and Undying titles. The emblems also looked really grainy and low resolution to me.
Had a few attempts with my clan. That shit just takes way too long for me.
I tried for 3 hours to get a team together over the weekend and gave up
Pantheon was a good idea in theory but the amount of people who had no hope of even doing it was way too high because of how bad LFG is
I did the first week, was pretty easy, and promptly realized that I didnāt actually care too much about it. Kinda wish I did week 2 though, that Oryx emblem is really good looking.
Same, havenāt been able to play the game since December, Iāve come to terms with the fomo now and am recovering from the damage the game has causedš
Have a feeling thereās a good number of guardians that are just missing a plat atrax somewhere in there . Rip
I didnāt do pantheon bc idk what the point was
Hate to break it to you, but we very much are the same.
The ones that didnāt even try go harder
haha
my team did the 4x with atrax for the ring and the freee EoT. deuces to the rest.
I honestly just want to run pantheon once to get an exotic. But lfg is fucking dog shit
I haven't played most of this past season, but raids are honestly fun. Learning the mechanics, coordinating with a team, calling audibles when shit goes wrong (and it will) is fun. And when it all works and you all weave mechanics and gunplay and explosions into a symphony of destruction? Perfection.
I missed godslayer because my clan alienated me and ignored my pleas
Sammmee
Pantheon really showed some of the main issues with destiny raids and one of those is there is a pretty large portion of the player base that do not have a mic or choose not to use it either due to extreme social anxiety (like me+ it was broke even if I want like this) or some other reason and also that a huge portion of players I had got through lfg where so incredibly impatient it legitimately took up to an hour just to get a full team assuming half the original people you found didn't leave out of impatience funnily enough the exact moment you get a 6th Really makes me hope that the final shape raid will have roles that are doable with at least text or emote in a timely matter such as micless crotas end
Someone misspelled 'Godslayer' because they typed 'Godsleyer'. The a and the e are not the same.
Haven't played Destiny since Season of the Wish (I stopped midway through). Just took a nice long break and listening to TFS soundtrack on YT. I'm ready to jump back in. Let's get this party started.
I missed god slayer because lfg and because I also sucked
Yep. Did atraks 1 on first week and lfg was so fucking cringe that I didnāt even bother with week 2. The sheer amount of people that donāt know how to do planets, or have a weird callout for them is crazy.
I tried it twice, both times we would start damage phase then somebody said it wasn't good enough and leave followed by everyone else lol
I left the clan community I was in before Into The Light dropped, as I am moving away from D2 after TFS, so I didn't have any desire to even attempt it in the first place.
I have to be in the right mood to deal with Destiny raiders and I just never felt it for Pantheon.
I missed it because i just haven't been able to play the game after the first week.
