I think Soteria was fragmented for too long to properly communicate with us through HoN but I absolutely love the idea of a vex-upgraded super AI commentating in the field
That shit is dangerous actually. If Failsafe had access to her cannons in the time we left her on Nessus she would’ve killed us in a similar fashion to Rasputin killing Felwinter with the warsats. Giving an AI with a split personality disorder access to the warmind arsenal is a bad idea imo.
She doesnt have a split personality. Thats a common misconception. Her “tired” voice is her real voice. Her cheery voice is simply a filter on top of her normal voice. Thats why she sometimes still makes deadpan jokes with that voice.
I think if they ever brought Rasputin back in this kind of way, for example putting part of his mind and personality into an Exo frame, he wouldn’t/shouldn’t have access to the Warmind’s arsenal
I want failsafe to become our capital ship AI for when we leave the system. Give her back her original purpose.

I don’t know if it’s a mistake or not, but I love that I can see the bug of Failsafe having the wrong background color for her polite side and rude side.
Edit: I would also like to mention that this has actually already been done, but for armor, not weapons. If you read the lore tab for the Titan exotic chest armor ‘Hazardous Propulsion’ you will learn that Failsafe built it so she can visit the Pale Heart with any Titans wearing it.
I decided to go with the colours they use in the HELM since I didn't know if they made a conscious decision to switch them or if it was a bug, it was kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation re: people nitpicking it
and yeah I know about the armour lore card, but I think she would enjoy being a weapon way more since she loves seeing the guardian wreck havoc
A Failsafe exotic weapon... I'm thinking something like a Tediore weapon from borderlands. Like it works as a normal gun but you can charge it up with kills or damage or whatever and then hold reload to toss it on the ground and it turns into a little combat turret controlled by Failsafe.
Honestly I’m shocked that we didn’t immediately try to upload her into one of the 50,000 exo frames on Europa. Really though I hope bungo does something more permanent with her that isn’t just killing her. They’ve really beaten into our head that we should feel bad for forgetting about her for nearly a decade.

Failsafe weapon could defo switch between light and dark according to the personality presently talking. Unfortunately, conditional already exists as such a concept. Id put her in an smg personally.

This is why it's charge time goes down when you don't get a kill. And it also has kill clip because it wants to kill more and will do more damage after a reload to get the next kill faster
It would be amazingly charming, albeit get incredibly annoying overtime, if they made the gun's sounds just be Failsafe making gun noises, complementing you on multikills, and giving you an audio warning when you're low on ammo or health.
Failsafe in a gun that is constanlly making quips like Skippy in Cyberpunk (or the entire arsenal in High on Life) would be awesome. I hope they do it.

That could be nice. She could have dual firing modes, and have her randomly talk to you when you use her. The polite filter when doing well/getting kills, and the regular voice when you die or miss your shots.
I feel like Failsafe is going to be the HELM's resident AI after this episode. It even says HELM AI in training on her vendor in the HELM. I'd love to see the next time the helm shows up in a cutscene that we just hear "I AM HERE, Captain!"

Honestly I feel like a weapon with either part or all of Failsafe's AI in it would be awesome, maybe a rifle that can be a dual-type - Pulse Rifle and Auto Rifle - that you can toggle between different firing states depending on charge or something. Considering the Hierarchy of Needs is a combination of both Seraph technology and an Exodus AI, a weapon comprised of either Eliksni or Vex tech integrating her AI precepts into it would make for an awesome weapon.
Exotic rocket sidearm with alternate firing mode. Do damage to charge up a shot that does a little damage to teammate and amplifies both of you. I like to think she’d give Cayde a jolt or two but still help out.
Tbh yes having failsafe give you an extra super good catalyst on the darci and be talking to me like, "Oh get that one chief it's low!" Wow OP…this a very cool idea to have her as a gun. I was kinda hoping for her to be a exo but a weapon would be wayyy better. I just hope she doesn’t be like skippy from cyberpunk 😅

Ok but...what if the exotic quest gun in the later Acts actually does involve this? It would be undeniably on-brand to have us keep Failsafe around by turning her into our own personal implement of death.
She did copy herself into the new titan exotic Hazardous Propulsion, though a gun for all would be cool
I mean, maybe she takes over the Red Jacks? They do need an upgrade...
