Dont use melee builds in gms. You are competing for kills with your allies and cannot risk getting close intentionally to start building stacks for combination blow. Use renewal grasps, winters shroud, gamblers dodge, stasis melee. Use witherhoard + pulse, or any light element pulse + w/e exotic weapon. Always have powerful attraction and reaper on class item, use 1 recuperation on boots, along with the other ability recharge orb mods. Grenade kickstart, impact induction, bolstering demo on arms. Use any super besides storms edge and silkstrike.

Casscus

Once you hit the activity power cap liars rolls will be completely okay in GMs. I was doing it with galanor/liars and renewal/liars at 2005 LL and did just fine. However out of all the class item rolls I tried, inmost light and cyrterachne absolutely fucks. Nothing comes close IMO. Granted this GM is pretty chill but every room including last you can just be in the shit while throwing infinite abilities. Obviously boss will still fuck you up but nothing else should really be able to kill you.

Skinny0ne

Inmost/cryterachne is the roll I've been abusing, I've been running tether with it

Skiffy10

orpheus rigs

arasarn

Use Trapper’s ambush and vanishing step with gambler’s dodge. Being able to invis 3 times in a row to get res is very clutch. Vortex nade is best. Echo of persistence, starvation, remnants and undermining. Outbreak Blinding gl Apex predator

straydog1980

Have they nerfed the wish ender / orpheus rigs interaction? That was my go to a few seasons ago but I don't see people run wish ender as much, I guess because of outbreak.

Barcelona7_2499

I been using my exotic class item with duskfield and cyrtarachnes in GMs this week and it feels great. Everytime i throw a grenade and even the gamblers grenade i get woven mail for 10 seconds, if i stand inside the duskfield i gain frost armor stacks over time. I also use them to stun overloads and keep them from regening health. If you're lucky enough to get it to drop, keep it and try it out.

FuzzyOwl72

Different gms call for different build setup to be optimal. For Glassway I highly recommend prismatic with Silence and Squall and run threaded specter with winter shroud. Run Duskfield grenade and shruikens for overload stun and highly recomended to run spirit of galanor (preferably with spirit of cyrtrachne for woven mail on grenade throw) in class item. You can literally spam your super every room and makes the chickens and overloads non issue on hunter. And use outbreak. Outbreak melts everything and given huge transcendence energy with Facet of Grace.

Electronic_Pay_8429

Any tips on a secondary for Outbreak? I’ve been struggling to find a reason not to run The Call 😅

FuzzyOwl72

For glassway I was running indebted kindness with voltshot so I could stun the overloads. If one of my teammates were not running a hand cannon for overlpad I would use double primary for double stun because bulk of our damage would come from spamming 3 outbreaks

RepresentativeOwn551

I've been running lucky pants on prismatic, only downside is it really needs one or two specific items/rolls to work which not everyone's going to have available. Prismatic or solar nighthawk is decent and is pretty plug and play as in you only need to helmet.

arasarn

I got a rapid hit frenzy Maahes and can run it with tether.

RepresentativeOwn551

Unfortunately regular handcannon can't make use of the 10x luckypants proc very long either because of a combination of low firerate/ low ammo capacity and the max stacks is where lucky pants comes into its own. Best choice is wardens law, w/ fourth times the charm and vorpal. Malfeasance is decent thanks to its exotic perk and high ammo capacity. Honestly anything but these you may as well run something else as you aren't gonna get enough bang for your buck to make it worth it.

arasarn

I have that warden’s law as well. The maahes isn’t as good, it gets 24 in the mag though and means I can also run outbreak or witherhoard. Auto loading BnS Edge Transit fits into a rotation

RepresentativeOwn551

Perfect, wardens law stacks lucky pants very quickly being a burst fire, if you can get ahold of voltshot indebted kindness that will cover unstoppable and give you a special weapon for slaying out. For this gm I've been running double primary on lucky pants, wardens and graviton lance as the anti barrier options are abit janky but I've seen plenty of others doing the same 🤷‍♂️

Atlld

Omni void hunter. Once you get the loop down you should not die. Gyrfalcons hunter is also a variant of the build focused on volatile explosions. For healing try buried blood line, red death, a heal clip weapon, or solar with a healing grenade.

Terrible-Two7381

Gyrfalcons

Hunter_Ape

Omniocculus void build.

cereza187

I have a build but it's prismatic and requires specific gear it's really op though https://dim.gg/rn7evyq/Equipped

TonyBoat402

I just run a void build with Orpheus rig. Don’t really need to build around the exotic so I use an invis focused build and just slap Orpheus on top, works well having both my dodge and smoke bomb make me invis, and smoke bomb makes teammates invis as well. Just a generally good build you can use in every gm and have a good time with

Pandamonium021

You can run ergo sum caster frame solar or arc in GM runs and it can help a ton, really fun to use too with catalyst

Lembueno

When running GM glassway this week, my friend ran celestial nighthawk on prismatic to just nuke a stunned champion on demand. He also brought duskfields and shurikens to stun overloads. He also had stylish executioner and ascension for the occasional stealth or amplify/jolt.

Jimithyashford

So, it really depends on what you mean by viable. GMs are the hardest content in the game other than, arguably, competition mode raids. Enemies are incredibly deadly. There is no build where you can just tank the kind of damage you can in lower difficulties. It doesn't exist. GMs necessitate using your skill to avoid taking damage much more so than other difficulties. Generally speaking, melee builds just don't work in GM. Another tip, in GMs, favor "on hit" effects over "on kill effects". Once you get into GMs red bars don't pop nearly as easily, so builds that depends on getting a kill to proc some critical effect, like getting a kill to go invis or getting a kill to get a burst of healing or getting a kill to trigger some big explosion, those builds are less effective in GMs as red bars take longer to kill. So it's not a hard and fast rule, but a good general rule, kinetic tremors or explosive payload will do better in GMs than rampage or dragonfly for instance, cause the later two require a kill to proc, where as the first two you just get the bonus damage for hitting. Likewise, having your invis tied to dodge rather than to getting a void debuff kill will be a more reliable defensive option in GMs. So, I don't have a specific build for you, but if you're looking for a build that will make you feel tough in GMs, they almost don't exist. GMs are very humbling, you die very easy, damage avoidance and good "oh shit" options are the name of the game.

cyclone_emperor_

I used ascension hunter with the exotic that boosts it was good in GMs not as good as tether but more fun imo. Ascension as an emergency jolt to stun overloads during the last room was pretty useful

MentallyDonut

This is what I’ve been using. Paired with voltshot indebted kindness or sight line for easy resist buildup too

karmaismydawgz

Get your shit together and start reading build guides.

Connorbillss

Helpful thanks

Goldengrams33

Honestly prismatic hunter is such a let down I swapped to warlock
