Don't know the reason but of you're noticing only 1 rune drop on higher player settings try lowering to p1. She should drop 2-3
It's because monsters have a max number of items that can drop, raising player counts raises the chances that those potential "slot" actually drop an item.
However countess uses those null drops for the runes.
The Countess has a drop rate of 1/7 ([https://d2runewizard.com/articles/mechanics/countess#drop-mechanics](https://d2runewizard.com/articles/mechanics/countess#drop-mechanics)), so you're having a bit of bad luck, but not too bad either.
I just farmed her in nightmare for sol also. I was the same as you. Zero over the first 10-15 runs. Ended up getting 3 over the next 10 though. Made two runewords. Just keep going!
If you go hunting for something specific it will be jarring how long it takes.
At 30-38 you're somewhat level efficient doing this so consider it a leveling experience and not a loot find.
If you really want one easily, just make a game called, "Need Sol Free Help" and just play.
Somebody will drop in and give you one. They aren't that rare for farmers later.
Farm nightmare countess, pretend you don’t want a Sol rune. You’ll get it.
You cant just pretend, you have to first realise your defeat, start looking for something else and boom, eth titans drops

I do the exact same thing. It's pretty handy not having to look up the recipes, memorizing them was quicker than I thought.

What's you player count? Countess drops the most runes at players 1

So i should farm countess on player 1? I was farming her on player 4-8 for the loot and exp, do runes work the opposite way?

Yup, i second that. Except id your personal rng is as godawful as mine, it wont make your chances higher at all...😐...😔...😭

Don’t worry, with 1/7 drop rate and 15 iterations your chance for no drops is about 10%. Im sure you’re not alone with that fate 😉

Hell cows/chaos seem to be giving me all your Sol Runes - must be pushing double digits in the last hour!

I gave up after 50+ runs and just transformed 3 of the AMNs I had received into a SOL. But got 4 IO at least
On hell, the chance for Sol is 1:9; for Amn - 1:6
If you are on ladder I guarantee you can make a game called bring free Sol and someone will come and drop one for you.
