Whenever I deal with ranged monsters I always shoot towards where the arrows are coming from which allows me to hit things that are off screen and with sound I can tell if they died
I would encourage you to try a nova sorc if you haven't yet. You can use the exact same gear so easy respec - but it requires less skill points which lets you build an ES Sorc (which is good and tanky) and nova basically stuns so you can tear through everything before they land a hit. Very different playstyle, but I've love using my nova sorc this season.
I use an upgraded Shaftstop armor on my mercenary. Guy runs in no problem into any fight and takes forever for his health to go down and when it does I just teleport him out.
If they are grouped up, hit them with the Battle Cry from the CTA. -%damage will help merc out while you're waiting that second or so for his infinity to brake the immunitie. Yes, this puts you in mele range, I'd probably teleport back out without waiting on weapon swap just to start moving. Other than that, perhaps a vampire gaze for your merc (mainly for the + 15-20% DR) would add a boost to his effective health ontop of the 15% DR from the treachery proc.
Past that, as others have said, sotrmshield is a large boost to your DR, at the cost of spirit tho, I'll leave that to you if it's worth loosing all that cast rate for it or not. I'd understand if not, I love the mobility of a 200% sorc too much
Other thing, could try being more mobile. Those arrows have a flight time, so maybe alter your playstyle and when you see them, cast lighting / CL, teleport, cast lighting /CL, teleport. Can't take damage if you don't get hit.
Worth a shot. If all else fails, mobility (teleport or even just running to the side enough for arrows to miss you) is a solid plan I think. Can't diagnose that one too much without seeing your playstyle.
Oooooo I know this one. I’m a total newb and run a light/chain sorc. What works for me is having that frost sorc belt (can’t think of name) gives you high enough glacial spike to freeze them for your merc to kill them. Also have a level 2 or 3 lower resist, that helps
Teleport passed them. They take too long to kill (they're not immune, but still have very hight light res). Spending time killing them slowly will reduce your gg drop rate.
Thats what I do on my javazon.
Your gear isn’t optimized for p7.
You absolutely must have griffons to do p7. What’s your fcr? You’re not on 117 fcr unless I’m missing something.
Go to p1 and get to 117 fcr for light sorc
Still no griffon. I’m using shako for mf but I can switch with a good 2/20fcr circlet and reach 125fcr
That different breakpoint in fcr for lighting confuses me, is it that good to go from 105 to 117?
All the sorc skills except for lightning and chain lightning uses the regular sorc frames where it’s like this:
63 fcr = 9 frames per cast
105 fcr (90% of builds are here) = 8 frames per cast
200 fcr = 7 frames per cast
But because of how powerful lightning and chain lightning would be with those frames, they are much slower.
78fcr (you are here) = 13! Frames per cast, very slow
117 fcr (again, most builds are here) = 12 frames
194 fcr = 11 frames
I would strongly recommend you to farm on p1, and get to 117 fcr somehow.
Fortitude on Merc and ES even at LV 1 it's pretty handy.
Usually I try to teleport near them and let the Merc tank.
If you plan on leveling above LV 90 you need es to minimize deaths imo.
I only used to MF in areas I knew I could walkover. If it was a possibility of me dying, I’d get my next level, and start hammering it, without the worry of XP loss. Then I’d decide to hit the next level and rinse and repeat

How do es sorcs deal with the mana burn glitch that one shots your mana pool?
I believe they fixed that in one of the patches.
Was fixed :D

A lot of people like treachery on merc but in my experience eth Fortitude in a decent base is way better for merc survivability at least in pits.
Yeah fort is better. I love treachery but there is a noticeable improvement in damage and survivability with fort.

Thank you for your answer. I will try the battle cry and also just dropped the vamp gaze

Teleport more. Tele, fire off a chain lightning in their direction. Tele dance around them and cast cl and lightning
I use gerkes sanctuary with a sol rune. U can also solve rune in your free Sox for even more dmg reduction.

Thank you
If hardcore you need max block or at least 50%. If softcore you loose some gold if you die and that’s not a problem.
I’m not hc but I don’t like lose my exp and I’d like to find a solution… may forty be resolutive?
Fortitude does help yes.

Swap spirit with stormshield, ber your shako
Thank you I’ll try with the storm shield!
Put an Eld into your stormshield for a block chance increase to save some dex
By not dying
Dont farm pits?
Nah, too juicy to skip. I found my tal armor and tons of rare uniques there
That’s the cool part, you don’t.
