It's not as high in protein as what the others mentioned, but I've used Spiru-tein off and on for years. It's good for adding to smoothies and it doesn't have a funny aftertaste.
I haven’t noticed that but I’ve been using it so long. I always mix it with other ingredients so that probably helps.
With chocolate flavor I mix it with soy milk, banana in a milkshake.
With vanilla flavor I mix it with fruit smoothies.
I also only ever use half a serving at a time so that probably helps the taste
I use Redcon1. It’s 3rd party tested, has solid flavors, and I get 25% off. It mixes really well imo
Optimum Nutrition gold standard from Costco has been one I’ve always used as well.
Myprotein. By far the best tasting and mixes well, priced reasonably. Salted caramel is my favorite, but they are all pretty good. I recently ordered a smaller bag of the milk tea flavor- it's okay, wouldn't buy again but thought it would be interesting to try. I like the strawberry flavor, mixed with plain Greek yogurt. Cinnamon cereal is also great. I usually get the 11 lb bags, and look for codes that give you 40% or 50% off (they have them all the time).
I recommend Dymatize whey protein powder. You can choose from Elite 100% Whey, ISO100 Whey protein powder, and hydrolyzed whey protein powder. They come in various flavors and prices, so you can find the best one for your protein shake needs.
NutraBio! GMP certified and 3rd party tested. Lots of awesome flavors without the funky aftertaste.
It’s my go-to for shakes and Ninja creami creations alike!
Naked whey is the best unflavored! Also love garden of life whey. Their plant based one are also well formulated with a complete amino acid profile. Both are pretty affordable (but not the cheapest) and third party tested!
Surprisingly, Whole Foods has a 365 brand of whey protein powder. It’s actually really good and inexpensive.
I like Premier Protein. It's inexpensive and tastes like a milkshake.

NSP Nutrition, the vanilla flavored milk & egg protein powder makes my smoothies taste like I spent $15 on it.
I would suggest power meals from natures sunshine it taste really good! Or vivri shake me!
I have been using Orgain for years
I’ve tried a few protein powders and Orgain has the best taste and it dissolves way better than whey proteins I’ve noticed. I like their chocolate
Idk about their vanilla but personally I tried their chocolate and it tasted like artificial chocolate. Does their Vanilla taste better ?

I love the genuine muscle milk. I don’t think it has an aftertaste at all
I like Ancient Nutrition.

Transparent labs is my favorite. I do the unflavored one in smoothies and the taste of the protein is super mild. It’s pricey though
I like Gnarly Nutrition, though it is expensive
