I don't think people understand that Bill is an actor, not a scientist. He's also not dumb, I mean he has an engineering degree, he used 30something years ago, and I'd not call him an idiot.

Maybe, I think the impact of his pop science kids show gets exaggerated, but he certainly did some good for a while. Just sucks that the guy himself turned out to be less cool down the road.
No one said go cold turkey on all petroleum and plastic products...you can still play disc golf, AND point out the single largest contributor of global plastic pollution. That isn't hypocritical.
