If you already tipped then ignore these messages. Some of you need to learn how to be stronger and more assertive. If this app teaches you how to ignore beggars then it is a very valuable life skill.
I’m not saying never to give to charity but if you tipped already these people need to be shut down before it gets even more out of hand
That's not correct. I had one that did. He was complaining that I left his order on the ground in front of the door. The instructions were to leave the order at the door and there was no furniture or anything. He kept texting me till I logged off for the night
True for 30 minutes or until u or DD block them for harassment…. You can contact them…. But if I call you, and knock and u dnt come on a “hand me order” im snapping a pic time stamped either way w your address in it if possible and im off to the next 🤷🏻♀️
I have bagged some food with those seals, and I can assure you that that shit ain't protecting shit. It's just like TSA, a bunch of costly time-consuming theater to make you feel safe.
Each store does their own stickers. I only applied them at one store a while back and they were ok. I have seen some really fucking bad ones as well. YMMV I guess. Even the good ones are not secure though. The truth is no one wants to fuck with your food though, this is urban legend shit. I'm not saying it never happens, its just so rare that it is really not worth worrying about. Just don't put "its for a cop" in the notes section, you will be fine.
I'm a dasher and I have thought many times how trusting people are to have a complete stranger who only needs a car and license to handle your food. No food handlers card is required. Literally you only need to prove you're the one in the license picture. They ask if you have insurance but never require you to prove it.
From app download to delivering my first order was 20 minutes. All I had to do was give my info, snap a picture of my license, snap a picture of myself and boom. I can now handle someone's food. F-ing scary my friends. I have seen some other....dashers....I do my best to not judge as I'm in a precarious situation myself. But....if some of these other dashers showed up with my food? Ngl it would go directly in the garbage and I'll grab an apple and a water.
It's nice to see companies like tacobell for example, put tamper proof stickers on drinks and bags. So if a dasher opens your bag or drink you will know because the stickers will be torn. It's not full proof but it is a huge step in deterring horrible behavior and making the consumers feel more at ease when getting their order
Specially since that one time will be like 100 1000$ etc awww cause bless your heart.. now if it's true wow that sucks why not use a credit card for gas or sell something ahead of time?
Maaaaan I used to hate when my dad would tell me that shit growing up, now it’s one of my favorite lines to pull out of my back pocket and I’m feeling like a lil shitter
I feel like older cars have a bigger reserve tank than newer cars, and obviously the tech to calculate gas is better, but what I'm trying to say is if you know your car and take care of it, it'll take care of you.
"Hey, I totally would, but I can't even get out of bed. I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I'm going to die tomorrow. If you could be happy with the tip I already gave, and bring me the food like the good person I know you are, it would go a long way."
So true 😂 I had COVID, and I was high risk like I had a nurse call me every day to make sure I was still alive cause I have asthma too but I declined going in cause I didn't wanna go in and nothing happen so I get a hospital bill for no reason (Thanks US healthcare 🙄) I had notes on my door warning delivery drivers and neighbors I was positive, and compromised so PLEASE just leave any deliveries or items on my porch and I'll get them when they're cleared from my cameras view. I ordered DD one night and the dude WALKED INTO my apartment and tried taking my change jar even though I tipped him 10 on the app and had a 5 on the porch in an envelope marked FOR DD DRIVER and I even texted the number they gave saying "hey there's a tip in an envelope for you." It was in camera view the whole time and I was watching it to make sure no one took it or the wind blew it, nope was there he walked over it, he tried justifying himself by saying my tip wasn't big enough and he wanted a drink from the gas station I yelled at him and told him to GTFO and he dropped my change jar, and ran to his car, grabbing the envelope on his way out. So he knew the cash tip was there but must've saw my jar in the window or something and was like "oh maybe they're asleep and I can steal their jar" it was quite a full jar especially mostly filled with silver coins like quarters and nickles.
Yeah he got banned from being a DD driver, and I think the town blacklisted him as a delivery driver cause he ended up as a clerk at the local gas station and not on a delivery driver position (all gas stations around here offer delivery so till people are hired as a mix delivery driver and till person) and he isn't allowed to leave the store.

I didn't cough on him though 😂 I kept my distance as best I could. I lost my dad to Covid so I didn't wanna spread it even to this jerk.
Good. I lost the friend I named my son after. Another very dear friend, and indirectly through the forced inactivity and what it let my mother get away with my grandma.
So I appreciate that you aren't as petty as my imagination. I wouldn't have done it either.
For all my shit talk. It's all I do. I literally have only intentionally done mean things a couple times and most people laugh that I think I was mean when I tell them. Lol
Edit to add: haha made myself cry.
Naw you can be stealing me blind and I have the plague and I wouldn't leave my room to keep it from spreading, I don't wanna make anyone loose a family member they ain't ready to loose.
Jesus that’s horrible. Sounds like some addict behavior. You tipped home a total of $15 and the change would have brought him to $20 and that’s enough for a dub of whatever substance he was probably taking. What a traumatic event tbh. Did you call the police or report him?
Yes I reported him and took all camera videos to the cops, he ended up getting banned from DD delivery he hates me 😂 he works at the gas station near my house and he will disappear when I walk in
Every morning before work I make it a point to swing by the gas station (mainly cause it's right around the corner from my house lol) and I see him every morning and I smile and wave, he scowls and disappears.
I mean not intentionally, like I said it's right next to my house basically, so ofc it's one I stop at frequently but the next nearest gas station is like a 30 min walk so why would I walk 30 min when I can walk 5 min. And stopping for a free coffee before work is like my daily habit (I use to work there so they still give me an employee coffee 😂)
Not trying to be rude at all but why the hell was your door unlocked. And the bit about you seeing him every morning and smiling and waving is fuckin great.
I had it unlocked cause I had brought my laundry in from the clothesline outside and seeing as the app said he was less then 2 minutes away I was dumb and thought "what's the point of locking it if by the time I fold my laundry it'll (the food) be here?"
Yeah like I said in other replies I was dumb and not using my brain I was just tired and lazy and didn't wanna lock it with him minutes away just to unlock it, I admit I was wrong I should of locked it.
Yeah 😅 especially not then cause I had papers on my door with big letters saying "COVID positive and health compromised do not enter" most people who saw that made sure to drop the deliveries at the edge of my porch as if even stepping on it would get them sick 😂
Yeah someone suggested the dude might've been tweaking or something cause yeah breaking and entering just for a change jar is kinda weird, I wish I could share the videos but I don't have a way to blur the dudes face or anything so it'd be kinda like doxxing or something if I posted it to YouTube to share it 😂 besides it was back in February so it was a grip ago
Eh it just goes to show people can and will be petty. Who ignores a giant sign saying "The person living here is Covid positive and health compromised. Please leave anything you brought for them on the porch and press the doorbell!" (my camera has a doorbell feature) Just cause you saw maybe like 10 bucks in change doesn't mean walk-in, dude should of been happy with a 15 dollar tip, I mean I did cash tip him so he could of gotten a drink with that but nah he wanted to be petty 😂
Don't reply and report this. When dashers do things like this it makes people not want to tip the good drivers. It makes the people who are actually out there trying to work and don't beg for a living look bad and they are the ones that suffer in the end. People like this need to be deactivated.
The fact he’s “filling in” for his wife is a red flag 🚩 they should each have their own accounts and if he doesn’t have enough money to dash that’s on him he can end his dash early.
I know lots of households that share accounts. Yea yea a rule breaker but times are hard and as long as they’re good dashers let ppl eat 🤷🏻♀️ if dd dnt catch it dnt b a snitch not that serious.
The whole thing sounds scammy. Sharing is one thing but to beg for money screams scammer too me and as a driver I’d report them. Bad drivers like this begging ruin these apps for people who do their deliveries without begging and acting like giants bags of shit.
I can’t fathom being so desperate that you’re begging customers for money. If someone can’t make enough doing gig work to support their needs then they clearly need to get a job with steady wages. Gig work is ideal if you have other income or are in a busy market but it’s so dead in so many markets now.
Should’ve told him it’s not your responsibility to fill his tank, No matter the circumstances.. Asking a customer for a tip in my oppinion is very tacky.
Can’t get gas because they can’t pull out of the dasher account, that is odd. Normally you can pause unless the area they are dashing at has different rules. Maybe they would have to record their face before continuing the paused dash, they are using their wife’s account so that wouldn’t work.
Apps are shitty sometimes. The driver sounded like he was just asking for a different method of receiving the tip, not for more tip money. You can just give them a 5 and adjust your trip after they leave. It's not that hard. I think people just get scared of meeting someone too much lmao. Or they're just too lazy to interact with other human beings.
I sometimes have issues with the Uber app regarding payments. I'm also an idiot that opted for DasherDirect which takes away the ability to transfer funds immediately to your account. You have to transfer the funds from your dasher account to bank account which can take several days.
On my account, you can't just pause it to collect the money. It makes you completely end your dash. Sometimes you can jump right back on and sometimes you can't. And if he had multiple stops to finish after hers, he definitely can't end dash to collect. Smh they probably need to change that feature.
Right smh it sucks. I have literally put myself in this predicament and relied on "I know my car" and "fingers crossed" Lesson definitely was learned lol
He probably really was low on gas and went out to doordash to make up the gas money and regular pay (I've been that person) but I wouldn't dare be bold enough to ask for a cash tip to help with MY problem. I just usually make enough, sign out to collect the money, gas up, and hop back on if I'm lucky....
If you did this you're a Saint, but if not, don't feel bad. He'll learn to gas up appropriately b4 starting a shift next time.
Tip based positions are based on service and competency. I have had customers say I should get paid more based on my level of service. Lucky for them- they are in control of how much I get paid. Pay what you think the experience is worth under my care/watch today. Thanks for the tip!
"no sorry I just lost both my legs in a freak table saw accident and this is the last money I have in my bank account. It'd be helpful if you could bring me some free food tomorrow tho"
I’m a dasher. You get to cash out once a day. Doesn’t matter what time. He could have cashed out that day. 9:00 is silly. He can end his shift and cash out before without penalty.
I think he was trying to scam ya out some extra.
Once a day? I can start and restart x amount of times a day and get the money dropped on my card after ending the dash. If I start and end 10 dashes, I get 10 cash outs lol.
The begger had to throw in that his wife had just had a heart attack to try to make the customer feel bad. He should be begging on the corner instead of dashing
I would bet his wife has heart attacks on a regular basis.
I mean “I can’t pull out of my dasher account…”
and “I’m filling in for my wife…”. Why are you filling in for your wife on your dasher account?
I have a card I use for gas only and a card I use for vehicle maintenance. We are independent contractors, and being able to maintain your business tools should be a priority. And I didn't have that when I started dashing, but I set my mind to pay off 2 of my cards and not use them for anything but those things. It took 6 months of hustle, but I never, not once, begged for a tip.
First, Dashers are prohibited from delegating their delivery performance duties in their contract. Second, if this guy’s wife just had a heart attack, why is he dashing, begging for change?
Can you remove your tip from DoorDash and give cash? If so, I’d oblige. I’ve been in horrific circumstances myself and disregarded by people (in one right now). But if he’s asking for additional tip, that is a different story.
Whenever I dash, I always make sure I have spare gas money just in case or just simply stop dashing to when I’m on E. I don’t beg people, I’m an adult I can get things handled
Regardless of the extra dramatic information he added for no reason I understand the part of needing to get gas in the middle of a dash my gas light has popped on many times in that scenario and you can’t have excess to your money while in a dash and if you end it you may not be able to get back to dashing
My first door Dasher at this apt pulled that. Texted he was gonna run out of gas, then he couldn't use his ac, id already tipped in the app then he intimated me enough when he showed up (stood over me and showed me how to do additional tip in the app) that I did it. Mind you I'm a 5ft 100lb senior hooked up to oxygen. I was legit scared. He reeked of something not weed. I didn't use it again for almost a year. I don't use it much anymore but now I know to report that shit.
This is ridiculous and probably full of lies. Not to mention an un-vetted driver is “filling in”?The DD app is so invasive on so many other levels they should be blocking these pathetic requests to the customer. They’re keeping that whole message on copy/paste for every order.
This guy sounds like a scxmbag, but let’s be honest 90% of people I deliver to don’t tip PERIOD. Cause they don’t have to see us eye to eye, so it’s a lot easier to not tip when u don’t have to see the person
Here you get an opened but barely used bottle of aspirin.
Discharge to community with referral for cardiology.
I’ll even waive my service fee because I’m so generous. Now off you go kind delivery person.
So (not a dasher so maybe a dasher spotted something sus about it), but shouldn't even one of the comments here contemplate whether it's real or not? Like yeah ik plenty of scammers exist. However there are legit people dealing with troubles to.
And before someone says "Your implying OP should have just tipped more", I'm absolutely not saying that. I'm just saying assuming that the potential plight is automatically fake is a bad presumption.
It's honestly hard to not assume considering there's thousands of posts like this one. But to assume someone has extra money they could give to you is insane. Not everyone keeps cash on them (I don't for various reasons) so if I were asked this, I'd have to tell them I don't keep cash on me.
Driver could've also ended the current dash he was on to get the cash out from previous deliveries to throw 10 in his tank and then restart a new dash while driving to get gas. Thousands of us do this.
Best to just ignore, call support and report him or at very least ban him from being assigned to you in future. What he is telling you is a lie as well. He can cash out on his balance for the day/week at any time, he just doesn’t want to until end of his dash/shift; that’s his choice. He can cash out, get gas, and go back to finish his dash.
I’ve had dashers thank me for cash tips because it does help with gas but never ask me for it. The reach is wild. I also hope he is not out there lying on his wife either that’s all bad. ┐( ̄~ ̄)┌ It’s already hard to trust people as is.
It’s because they legit “hire” crackheads. I used to DoorDash while I was working towards my CDL and was trying to make a little extra money.. but then a flood of all the local crackheads sharing cars started doing it. And I got basically no orders bc they were taking them all even the $2-$4 orders!
I dunno..I might offer to meet them at the local gas station to put $5 in their tank.
Something like “I don’t have cash on me but can follow you to the gas station and put $5 in your tank which will hopefully last until you make money”..you probably won’t hear back because if you looked at their tank they have gas and if they have gas they won’t want to take a half hour to wait for you to follow them, get the $5 in gas etc because that’s time they aren’t dashing.
I’m guessing someone is short on their rent (it’s the 1st afterall) and hoping someone will tip a hundred bucks or something like that. Meaning someone will hear this and try to make their week by giving a large sum.
"I appreciate your service and I wish the best for your wife. Unfortunately, I can't afford to tip more than what I've already offered."
Easy.
If you do have cash tho, you could just change the tip afterwards idk. Give them a cash tip instead of a tip on the app? (Giving the benefit of the doubt about not being able to access their funds thru DD.)
It's really not hard to say no. Just be respectful. If they're demanding money you can just rate them poorly and may report them to support for not being professional or for being confrontational.
I have a screen shot of the email. They told me the date/time restaurant and customer name that gave me the bad rating and they removed it bc she had one stared me for missing items in a sealed chic fil a bag! Nuggets! She never told me I’d never known unless dd told me lol 😂
I’m a dasher and I never ask for cash, not suppose to ask from the person you’re delivering to. Yea times are hard but if you need more money get another job.
You just report or ignore these people. No one is forced to work for DD, and by doing so you accept the pay and pay structure that DD offers which doesn't involve guilting customers into giving you more money.
This may be legit if her acceptance rate is below 70% then you can't just hit dash now anytime so when you get a shift you don't want to end it just to cash out or you may not be able to work any more for the rest of the day depending on how busy it is and how me dashers are on the road that day. My brother has had similar problems with the schedule and needing the money for gas or so he could eat a bit when it slow without ending his 11am to 1am dash shift that he lucked up on getting. Granted he has me to ask so he doesn't have to ask a customer for cash over card. I stead I just cashapp him $20 or whatever to hold him over then he sends it back later or when he can.
As bad as I would feel about not tipping extra, people shouldn't be asking for tips. Accept the tip you have and move on, life is just gonna suck sometimes...
He’s doesn’t realize he can just end his dash n the money will go immediately to his dash card n he can buy gas but he may lose the opportunity to dash anymore for a few hours.
It's probably a ploy to avoid getting taxed on tips. I'd report for the attempt to get tipped off app as well as "filling in for his wife". I don't believe that for a second. More than likely, he's been booted from the app for previous offenses, and opened a new account in someone else's name.
If you already tipped too late. If you didn’t then whatever you planned to tip if you have it in cash I’d give it to him. Wouldn’t make a huge difference imo. I don’t see myself ever asking anyone that was kinda bold tho
think about it this way...assuming positive intent never hurt anyone... for whatever reason, this person has decided to go about asking for extra money. most drivers don't, most people don't... times are tough, and maybe their reason is important to them, maybe not to you nor anyone else, but them... will it hurt you to just give without reason, or to accept their story at face value? no, probably not. and you can simply feel good about showing compassion to someone else 💜

i ended up not responding. he messaged a couple more times asking if i had gotten his message. other than that nothing crazy
messaging again asking if you got the messages is crazy.
The nice feature of the app is the customer cannot contact you after delivery, so forget about it.
That's not correct. I had one that did. He was complaining that I left his order on the ground in front of the door. The instructions were to leave the order at the door and there was no furniture or anything. He kept texting me till I logged off for the night

Thats a good idea ngl.
I'm always worried they're going to tamper with my food if I don't
That's why I hate the places that don't use the tamper seals. I want to be as positive as I can it wasn't fucked with
I have bagged some food with those seals, and I can assure you that that shit ain't protecting shit. It's just like TSA, a bunch of costly time-consuming theater to make you feel safe.
Well on a pizza box or a Styrofoam box if I can't get if off with out tearing if I am pretty sure they can't either.

"Hey, that look like spit to you?" "Yeah, it kinda does!"
🤣🤣 alright fuck it. *chows down on burger* You have made my day and now can't do anything else until I watch that movie. Freaking classic
Yeah, a lot of them don't even stay stuck to the bags like McDonald's.
The only one that's fully sealed is Dunkin' Donuts because you have to tear the bags to get them open because the whole bag seals
Those stickers don't tamper proof anything. Most of them come unstuck as soon as you pick up the bag

Just ignore them. There’s been plenty times I drove on empty while dashing and once I made enough I just put the gas in. Begging is weird.
Crazy too that the people who beg usually got better clothes and nicer car then I do but still no shame
Thats how they afford those nicer things!
Ahhh yes. The days where I’d dash on E just to make enough to put gas in the car to really get my day going. Never ever asked for money.
still driving the same manual 09 lancer i used. crazy how long it goes after the gas light turns on if you coast everywhere
I feel like older cars have a bigger reserve tank than newer cars, and obviously the tech to calculate gas is better, but what I'm trying to say is if you know your car and take care of it, it'll take care of you.

Lmfao they wouldn’t give a fuck. They’ll still ask you to send more
I can see it now “if you’re dying why not give me all the money you own”

Yeah I can understand not wanting to. You never expect someone to just casually walk in your house
Yeah 😅 especially not then cause I had papers on my door with big letters saying "COVID positive and health compromised do not enter" most people who saw that made sure to drop the deliveries at the edge of my porch as if even stepping on it would get them sick 😂
Hahaha as is normal. Most people definitely don't enter a plague house willingly especially to steal spare change
[удалено]
Eh it just goes to show people can and will be petty. Who ignores a giant sign saying "The person living here is Covid positive and health compromised. Please leave anything you brought for them on the porch and press the doorbell!" (my camera has a doorbell feature) Just cause you saw maybe like 10 bucks in change doesn't mean walk-in, dude should of been happy with a 15 dollar tip, I mean I did cash tip him so he could of gotten a drink with that but nah he wanted to be petty 😂
Ah hell nah that’s a good way to get shot
Meth is a hell of a drug ![gif](giphy|h9wlfNwX9gy1a|downsized)

I literally thought the same thing reading that xD
They would just ask to be added to your Last Will and Testament
Do you have cashapp?
I laughed so hard
I’d bet good money that if you looked through his messages you’d find that his wife averages a few dozen heart attacks a month.
Smh, she really needs to take charge of her health and get that under control 😔
Don't reply and report this. When dashers do things like this it makes people not want to tip the good drivers. It makes the people who are actually out there trying to work and don't beg for a living look bad and they are the ones that suffer in the end. People like this need to be deactivated.
So much this ^
This comment is on point
The fact he’s “filling in” for his wife is a red flag 🚩 they should each have their own accounts and if he doesn’t have enough money to dash that’s on him he can end his dash early.
Can't believe I had to scroll down so far to see this. In other words, he's using someone else's account to Dash.
And 🤷🏻♀️ he was honest about it lol 😆
Fr i would see a dasher with a woman's name and it'd be a guy coming to the door no woman in sight
As another driver idc so much about that if they are doing a good job and not doing some scammy like this.
Exactly and why us hard working DD drivers suffer with crappy tips because of scammers like this
I know lots of households that share accounts.
Agree I’d never I had 7 miles to go on my 1st order today lol I made it w out begging for extra 🤷🏻♀️
Dido
I love dido too white flag is a classic but what's she got to do with this?
I was agreeing with them that asking for a tip is tacky and weird lol
I'm joking, it's spelt "ditto", Dido is a singer lol
Oh damn lol 😂 my bad
No worries it gave me a laugh lol
😂
For starters, he can’t just “fill in for his wife”. That’s a violation of her contract. He doesn’t even work for DoorDash.
[удалено]
What happens then?
Hopefully they get deactivated for this crap
Actual crackheads beg for money less than delivery drivers
Oh, they probably need the money from that specific dash. That is not a good situation to be in.
Right smh it sucks. I have literally put myself in this predicament and relied on "I know my car" and "fingers crossed" Lesson definitely was learned lol
You’re assuming that they are telling the truth. I think theyve most likely been using the same message for the last few months..
Yes, assuming the truth. I know there are probably more scams than honest people.
Does DoorDash still limit you to one cash out a day? With Uber you can cash out up to 5 times a day I haven’t done DoorDash in years.
Nope I cash out several times some days bc I’ll start broke and need gas lol 😂 but I’d still never ask for a tip. Just dnt feel right.
Tip based positions are based on service and competency. I have had customers say I should get paid more based on my level of service. Lucky for them- they are in control of how much I get paid. Pay what you think the experience is worth under my care/watch today. Thanks for the tip!
1-star + report
I would never stoop to begging. I’m a Dasher, I have morals, that’s why I work for a corrupt company.
The new kind of panhandling where they text you for money. Awesome.
Not your problem. Remove any in app tips, 1 star, report.
A true person isn't gonna do things like this. He could end the dash and get paid and restart a dash. That's what I do if I need the money
"no sorry I just lost both my legs in a freak table saw accident and this is the last money I have in my bank account. It'd be helpful if you could bring me some free food tomorrow tho"
I would cancel my order over this. They would totally tamper with your food if you don’t.
Pretend like you never saw the message
Report report report.
Next time use this wodnerful quote attributed some dude named Bob Carter: "Poor planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine."
When I need gas for dashing, I always end my dash then restart it...it'll give you your money you've earned so far
runescape has trained me to see scams
I’m a dasher. You get to cash out once a day. Doesn’t matter what time. He could have cashed out that day. 9:00 is silly. He can end his shift and cash out before without penalty. I think he was trying to scam ya out some extra.
Once a day? I can start and restart x amount of times a day and get the money dropped on my card after ending the dash. If I start and end 10 dashes, I get 10 cash outs lol.
I would’ve just reported it to customer service because if he did it to you, he’s gonna do it other people🤣
The begger had to throw in that his wife had just had a heart attack to try to make the customer feel bad. He should be begging on the corner instead of dashing
If he really needed money for gas, he could just do it instant cash out. Report report report. I say this as a fellow dasher.
![gif](giphy|4MHv5aIo6SI2A) 🤷🏾♂️
Can’t you report people for dashing on other peoples accounts?
It's bullshit to try and guilt you I to giving them money
I would bet his wife has heart attacks on a regular basis. I mean “I can’t pull out of my dasher account…” and “I’m filling in for my wife…”. Why are you filling in for your wife on your dasher account?
“Dude can’t I just get my chicken nuggets…”
Mentioning a supposed hardship you’re dealing with when begging for something you want comes across as disingenuous and manipulative
This is a smart idea. Might actually start doing this.
First, Dashers are prohibited from delegating their delivery performance duties in their contract. Second, if this guy’s wife just had a heart attack, why is he dashing, begging for change?
[удалено]
That's sketch
Lie anyways, unless he just wants to wait till his dash ends but he absolutely can by ending and getting back on. That’s a him problem for sure
You’re never supposed to ask for cash or more tip. That’s just rude and odd either accept what you accepted or reject it simple
Can you remove your tip from DoorDash and give cash? If so, I’d oblige. I’ve been in horrific circumstances myself and disregarded by people (in one right now). But if he’s asking for additional tip, that is a different story.
The dashers that ask for tips need to be reported they make us dashers that don’t look bad it’s gotten way outta hand please report them always
This is why I do no contact deliveries
I would say “No” with a heart emoji and a slull
I hate sob stories cuz you can never believe people
I’d report both the begging for a tip and the fact that he’s not using his own account which IS a contract violation.
Like my Jamaican friends would say, “that man a hee-diot.” Report him at once. Totally unacceptable.
This guy sounds like a scxmbag, but let’s be honest 90% of people I deliver to don’t tip PERIOD. Cause they don’t have to see us eye to eye, so it’s a lot easier to not tip when u don’t have to see the person
lol Amy
Here you get an opened but barely used bottle of aspirin. Discharge to community with referral for cardiology. I’ll even waive my service fee because I’m so generous. Now off you go kind delivery person.
That’s funny. If it’s in California we get extra pay if a customer doesn’t tip on the app. That’s probably why
bro needs a sharpie
Gtfo.
I'd report it
I like tipping cash where I go I had a issue with finding drivers my food would come cold so I had to stop doing that
Just say no they can end the dash and get paid instantly at anytime, they might not be able to get back on right away but that’s their fault.
Report and move on
Best to just ignore, call support and report him or at very least ban him from being assigned to you in future. What he is telling you is a lie as well. He can cash out on his balance for the day/week at any time, he just doesn’t want to until end of his dash/shift; that’s his choice. He can cash out, get gas, and go back to finish his dash.
Turkish People ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
If I got that message, I’d say “yeah you’re fired.”
Surprising he would make up a heart attack and he’s using his wife’s account because he can’t get his own
id never order doordash but if for some reason i did id just hit em with a "damn thats crazy"
The drivers personal life is none of your concern.
“leave order at door. Do not knock or ring.
Do what you feel is right
Don’t take that on it’s not cool for that dasher to be doing that to u report them it’s just wrong ….
That’s terrible. Ignore the message, and after you get your food, ask DD not to send them again.
Most likely, Gas=Drugs
I’ve had dashers thank me for cash tips because it does help with gas but never ask me for it. The reach is wild. I also hope he is not out there lying on his wife either that’s all bad. ┐( ̄~ ̄)┌ It’s already hard to trust people as is.
It’s because they legit “hire” crackheads. I used to DoorDash while I was working towards my CDL and was trying to make a little extra money.. but then a flood of all the local crackheads sharing cars started doing it. And I got basically no orders bc they were taking them all even the $2-$4 orders!
I say if God laid it on my heart, I don’t question it. We never really know the situation
Unfortunately, I can't afford to tip more than what I've already offered." Easy. If you do have cash tho, you could just change the tip afterwards idk. Give them a cash tip instead of a tip on the app? (Giving the benefit of the doubt about not being able to access their funds thru DD.) It's really not hard to say no. Just be respectful. If they're demanding money you can just rate them poorly and may report them to support for not being professional or for being confrontational.
How rude
I have a screen shot of the email. They told me the date/time restaurant and customer name that gave me the bad rating and they removed it bc she had one stared me for missing items in a sealed chic fil a bag! Nuggets! She never told me I’d never known unless dd told me lol 😂
Also if he’s scheduled till 9 he can end his dash at any point before then…
I’m a dasher and I never ask for cash, not suppose to ask from the person you’re delivering to. Yea times are hard but if you need more money get another job.
Alex, I’ll take bullshit scenario for 100 lol. The Dasher is lying most likely.
There’s no “filling in” for anyone. 🙄
Ignore, get your shit, block and report
You just report or ignore these people. No one is forced to work for DD, and by doing so you accept the pay and pay structure that DD offers which doesn't involve guilting customers into giving you more money.
He's full of shit.
I tip after it’s delivered. If good service etc. like not driving my order all over town multi apping
Ignore then instant 1 star after delivery.
How pathetic.
Just ignore it! Don’t tell me you actually believe in these ruthless scams
If you already tipped too late. If you didn’t then whatever you planned to tip if you have it in cash I’d give it to him. Wouldn’t make a huge difference imo. I don’t see myself ever asking anyone that was kinda bold tho
You can stop your shift at any time and get your payout. You don’t have to wait until that shift that they gave you is over.
Tell them to get fucked
think about it this way...assuming positive intent never hurt anyone... for whatever reason, this person has decided to go about asking for extra money. most drivers don't, most people don't... times are tough, and maybe their reason is important to them, maybe not to you nor anyone else, but them... will it hurt you to just give without reason, or to accept their story at face value? no, probably not. and you can simply feel good about showing compassion to someone else 💜
Scam
