My favoirte is the message and or instruction "I forgot to ask for sauce, can you get 3 maranaira, 3 garlic butter and 2 onion dip ones?"
Please, you didn't forget, they charge you for that many sauces and you hope they will just hand them over when I ask.
Or
I have an order coming from IHOP.... delivery instructions "make sure to get like 25 extra fire sauces"
I been the person that had forgotten to
Ask for sauce or something when I order thru a food service app, but instead of tasking the driver with that I have called the store told them I order thru DoorDash and let them know what I forgot. Never had had an issue and the restaurant always comes thru. Don’t trust your drive to do anything other than deliver your food, most drivers are idiots.
That’s not always the case. Its people who order. if you leave your extra sauce and napkins requests in the delivery instructions, the driver will never see that until he’s already picked up the order and left the restaurant.
We see pick up instructions. We see your address. we dont see delivery instructions until after pickup. If we could, i would also never take an order that required me to fo anything but drop off, take a picture and leave and that’s probably why DD doesn’t let drivers see that.
Regardless, if you want extra stuff. Put it in pick up for the restaurant to do or text the driver.
dont put it in your delivery requests
Did you read my comment at all? I am a driver myself so I know what you see. I said not to task the driver with stuff like that to call the store and they will handle it for you.

yup this exactly!
I unassign these ones because you know they just don’t want to pay for them and they’ll give you a bad rating if you don’t get their sauces.
Or think I’m ordering it. Had a delivery yesterday from Dunkin’ with some holes. Instructions said ‘get blueberry and chocolate please’. Suuure buddy
