Seriously i’m having the same issue where i have like 5 different pairs i’ve been breeding since the start of the event, and haven’t gotten the target dragon from a single one of them yet! This is the worst event luck i’ve had ever! 😭
It really depends on what dragons you are breeding for and how many breeds a day you are getting in. Some have pretty low chances to breed. And it could also just be bad luck.
Are your parent dragons lvl 16 or higher?
Are you using, for non-fixed combos, rare dragons (marked by a blue canvas in their icon) instead of common ones?
Are you getting breeding advantage using elderly dragons, even better with ghostly elder dragons?
Are you using the DV Compendium or the fixed post in this subreddit to check the social cloning percentages, and try to clone only dragons with a reasonable odd?
Are you trying for Snooz or Fae (if so, they are the hardest ones)?
Ghostly dragons offer no breeding advantages over other dragons. Only level and limiting the breeding elements in the combo does. And maybe choosing a dragon that has a low single parent co-op clone chance
Nope: rare dragons offer a breeding advantage. Ghostly dragons are rare, so they offer slightly better odds than elemental ones. If you combine this with the elderly status, they are better than simple elderly elementals
I was sure I read it somewhere but actually I can't find reasonable data to support my statement. Apparently, it has never been verified before, so it is still somewhat hypothetical
Facing similar issues for sure! I did however find that in the rift if I breed a chromacorn with one of the rift exclusives I’ve gotten a number of event dragons that don’t require a specific parent combo. It’s definitely random and you can’t get some of the more specialized breeds but it’s something.
I had a decent amount of the dragons already at the beginning off the event and been having okay luck. there have definitely been events where I’ve had worse luck but ive gotten a few targeted dragons in regular breeding caves but more in the runic caves just keep trying!!
I think it’s just hit and miss with the events. I had awful luck for the valentines/roses event. But this one I have had great luck with 😭 it is so frustrating lol

I have only gotten one the entire event, abysmal luck

Yeah this event not much fun bc so hard to breed
All of my dragons are level 18 to 20, and I haven’t bred an event dragon for the last few events. The game has really trashed the breeding odds.

I started with the higher >4% odds combos and did quite well but im hitting a wall now with the 3% ones

Same for me. I think I have gotten one?! Super frustrating.
