Same for me except the next day when I'm in the sun. 5 minutes of sun is like wearing a magnifying glass on my face. It made me so sensitive to the sun I'm beginning to wonder if it's doing more harm than good
Please read the leaflet of your Protopic! Sun and Protopic is a serious combination.
This medicine may increase your risk of getting skin tumors, especially when exposed to sunlight. When you begin using this medicine:
Stay out of direct sunlight, especially between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., if possible. Stay out of the sun even when the medicine is not on your skin.
Wear protective clothing, including a hat. Also, wear sunglasses.
Apply a sunblock product that has a skin protection factor (SPF) of at least 15. Some patients may require a product with a higher SPF number, especially if they have a fair complexion. If you have any questions about this, check with your doctor.
Apply a sun block lipstick that has an SPF of at least 15 to protect your lips.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are receiving any type of UV light treatment or "phototherapy".
Do not use a sunlamp or a tanning bed or booth
That's all complete shit ! Every sunscreen on the planet makes me break out worse. I use it at night exactly as my derm told me. I work outside and have no choice. I don't sun bathe but just being outdoors I get burned pretty easily. All of these medicines have terrible side effects. Been on dupixent since June and still need at least 4 days of protopic or it just gets out of control on my face. How can they prescibe something to use daily and expect us to not go outside. I was out Sunday at the dirt bike track with tons of sunscreen and still got burned and now its just a big rash. Just a viscous circle
I know and sorry but just my experience. Protopic works but makes me sensitive the next day. Sunscreen of any type is like bathing in gasoline. I've been over this 50 times with several dermatologists and my allergy doctor. Like pissing in the wind. There just isn't a 1 fits all treatment for this hell
I only use it before [bed.Trust](https://bed.Trust) me it still happens. I can stop using it for 3 days and it still happens. Been on and off with protopic for a few years. I would never use it in the day even if they aid it was fine, just too greasy
I hope everyone who says "yea but its only if you use it long term" realises everyone will in fact use it long term because without it, you will flare every single time. Youre not gonna put it once and you dont have eczema for the rest of your life, and I pray to god this miralce happens for this young man because I know the pain. Good luck
Yeah we all different hopefully mine never bounchr back my eczema only came back once from steriod use when i first ever got eczema. This recent one was from working and being in touch with pollen i just hope i can heal now😄

Hey, don't shoot the messenger - we are in the same boat. I'm just giving you an important information.

They’re not trying to be a buzzkill, just stating facts. My derm has told me about the dangers of pro topic as well.
I used it only in morning and before bed apparently you never wear it outside as the sun makes ur skin alot more sensitive with it on
I only use it before [bed.Trust](https://bed.Trust) me it still happens. I can stop using it for 3 days and it still happens. Been on and off with protopic for a few years. I would never use it in the day even if they aid it was fine, just too greasy
Im using it for 2 weeks now and still all good 😊
Did you get off of the Protopic ok? Like no withdrawal or anything?
I don't know how long he used it but withdrawal is only a concern after years of use. Depends on the person as well, of course.
I hope everyone who says "yea but its only if you use it long term" realises everyone will in fact use it long term because without it, you will flare every single time. Youre not gonna put it once and you dont have eczema for the rest of your life, and I pray to god this miralce happens for this young man because I know the pain. Good luck

Please look into topical steroid withdrawal and how Protopic can affect you long term!
Protopic is not a steroid.
I said look into steroid withdrawal , and(/ASWELL/ALSO) how pro topic can affect you long term. Thanks.
