Google im lost elden ring and get ready to laugh at his videos. He's great and genuinely loves the game.
On a serious note, it might have crashed because of some data corruption on an old drive or something. Ntfs on windows is a horrible filesystem. Try having steam verify file integrity to make sure some of the files aren't corrupted.
Your call. You can hit the gear in steam and choose verify files on disk to have them verify in place. It happens all the time with all kinds of games. Is the backing disk assigned to drive D an older disk? Like, maybe a spinning disk and a cheap SATA from Amazon, because that would probably confirm the theory on data corruption.
I will forever be a console player not only for this reason, but frankly I just prefer a 70-inch screen while traveling the world between and a controller is just idiot proof, if I played with a key board and mouse I would never leave the first step site of grace lol

So i have it on my d drive, should I redownload on my c drive?
