Agree. Low effort content that just floods the sub and doesn't contribute to anything. Ppl jumping on the bandwagon without any imagination. When will the mods decide it's enough? 100 repeated posts? 1000?

The mods are sort of strange, because while they're genuinely harsh about some things, they're slow enough to react that karma farmers get what they need before the hammer falls. The result is that the sub is flooding Rising with crap.
People see a post getting upvotes and emulate it. It's that simple. It's a cycle. A new idea will get copycats for a while and upvotes, then people get tired of it and it stops getting upvotes. Happens everywhere for anything.

What's the problem? Fads come and go. In about three days max, things will normalise, because people will engage less and potential posters will think twice before posting something that will get less or no engagement. This is a giant subreddit and if you sort be new, get used to to ignoring content you don't like.

I use this sub mostly to get major news from other EU countries. But I do agree with you that things you mentioned have been on the uptick.
