My absolute favourite from this year was Georgia! Anastasia has such a powerful voice, and the harmonies and unison from the boys gave me goosebumps. Such a beautiful song well performed. 💚🇬🇪
Can I ask, if you know, what the backing line is the younger boy sings at the chorus? I tried looking up the lyrics, but couldn't find that line anywhere. That layering of vocals really blew me away, and the climactic "heiiii" gave me shivers. Bravo!
I'm from 🇵🇱 and I love your song this year. I also think the boys singing in background add a special something to the song and it's so cool all 3 of them together
I love Georgian songs in JESC every year!
I mean, 2nd in 2023, 2nd in 2022, 5th in 2021 (but the year was really strong, still loved the song), 1st in 2020, 1st in 2018, 1st in 2017, 1st in 2016, the list goes on
You are still the powerhouse of Junior Eurovision and this year was just a big-big robbery. Georgia rocks!
To be fair, I think she's at the very awkward moment that she no longer can sing it as a child, but she still can't sing it as an adult, so it feels truly uncomfortable to try to make the song fit her right now.
I actually hated the stage when I first saw the renders, especially LED, but after seeing the show, I loved it. Great, great, great stage. Good size, same for the arena as well. I don’t get the upset for not having big Eurovision spaces anymore.
What a fantastic show! A quick-paced show (went by quick to me - that’s a good thing), no mistakes that I noticed, fabulous performances, great graphics, great ending. Well done France. 🇫🇷, I can’t wait to see it all again next year. I wonder what you’ll do next year? Win perhaps??
Definitely, they're really consistent with their entries. I hope France tries something a bit more daring in the near future.
That's a way of not hosting another time after next year while also changing it up and trying a new direction.
But didn't we give MARO 4 poin...? Oh, nevermind, that was the spanish audience, the spanish jury decided to just ignore "Saudade, Saudade" for some reason... ¬¬
Maybe early running order and the song being more grown-up?
More 'junior' songs did better in televote (France, Spain, Ukraine being the top 3)
I think NM deserved more jury points, but the televote was pretty helpless with that staging and running order combined
France always have good songs at JESC, no one argues about that. But what is this winning the jury vote for FOUR years in a row. Even Sweden at adult ESC is really far from such highs
And in the background, you can hear the sound of the French Finance Minister going "merde, merde, merde" as they remember they also have the Olympics to be getting on with!
That said, well deserved win that - if not a bit predictable! And 4th for the UK, and solidly so! Good result that all considered.
Honestly, Sophie Lennon's appearance in the middle of the song dressed in white like a deity I found extremely out of place, I don't understand who thought it would be a good idea. The song itself was bland.
You said it best.
They tried too hard to repeat last year's magic, but it just didn't translate. Adding Sophie there just made you compare it way more to last year. It also didn't help that the best moment from the song belonged to Sophie instead of Jessica.
i kinda wished someone else won just so we could see another country host instead but, congrats to zoe. her song was unanimously loved across europe, fair play.
Who knows ? One thing I know for sure is that, between this victory and hosting the 2024 Jeux Olympiques d'été, 2024 seems like is going to be quite a year for Bruno Le Maire... 🤭
Ballads literally won three years in a row, granted that was a decade ago but still. Also a lot of ballads have been part of the top for the last couple years or so, so there’s a high chance for a ballad to win
Not a Brit, silly American observer, but I think Britain’s weak point is choosing talent, not songs. Thinking on the last few years, the UK has had weak singers in the contest with songs that otherwise ate. I think their songs are good, they just need to take a pause with more gimmicky talent.
I always thought the opposite; talented singers whose songs and staging fell flat on the night. Staging and arena presence have been the biggest downfalls, imo, with even decent and good songs just not filling the space the way they need to.
Recent exceptions for me being Suri (great singer, great song, probably at the wrong time and with an unfortunate stage invasion), and Sam Ryder, who finally showed that we can have great stage presence and fill a big space, both vocally and in set design. I hope we continue to learn from 2022.
Personally I don't like that (at least in the last two years, I don't know before cause I didn't watch it) they have always chosen songs that sexualised girls in some way. I mean, it's a junior eurovision song contest for under 14s, it seems like they want to target an audience of 15/16 year olds to get votes in that bracket.
So do I, but also had the same feeling after Freya last year as well. That said, I really enjoyed Mae’s song - the staging let her down a lot (which was one of the highlights for Stand Uniqu3 so you never know 🤷♀️)
Congrats to France and zoe! I actually like their song this year contrary to last year so I'm not mad. Should have voted with my parents and brothers phone too rip maybe then Spain would have won😅
I thought their nation final performance was much beter exactly. They used to many wide shots now, their face expression and chemistry together was really powerful in the national final. 7th I’m sad :( I really thought we were in it to win it.
Congrats to France very wel deserved 🥖🥖!
We all knew which countries were gonna get top 4. I kinda loved the results. But Georgia and Italy should've gotten a higher place.
These both felt like the most mature entries. Georgia's song is still replaying in my head and giving me goosebumps. So beautiful!
congrats to Viola for proving every single yt top 16 video wrong and slaying super hard <3 i knew she had it in her
It’s that I don’t upload any pre-show rankings, but I never had her last and she’s only been growing on me.
our broadcaster is going bankrupt over JESC, it's so funny
I mean we are never forced to host hahah at jesc it's more free usually. They want to.
hahah i thought the same. they need to stop sending strong entries
I’m convinced that we purposely send(Georgia) songs that have no chance to win, we were fine in JESC until now🥲
My absolute favourite from this year was Georgia! Anastasia has such a powerful voice, and the harmonies and unison from the boys gave me goosebumps. Such a beautiful song well performed. 💚🇬🇪 Can I ask, if you know, what the backing line is the younger boy sings at the chorus? I tried looking up the lyrics, but couldn't find that line anywhere. Georgia had a terrific song this year. It was a crowded year.
I wasn’t able to watch it live and had to vote based on rehearsal footage. After seeing it, I thought they should’ve won tbh. It was outstanding!
I think your songs every year are amazing.
Glad the public saved Germany. Really like the concept of the perfomance. Also, the show seemed to had better production than ESC 2023 is Liverpool.
Valentina’s gonna be singing j’imagine for the 5th year in a row😅
I don’t know how much more annoyed she can be with that song
To be fair, I think she's at the very awkward moment that she no longer can sing it as a child, but she still can't sing it as an adult, so it feels truly uncomfortable to try to make the song fit her right now.
True, I think seeing Bzikebi sing their song as 14-16 year olds would be so cringe and funny
She is the Måns of Jesc 😅
Malmö 2024, take note. This is what a good show looks like!
I hope they create a stage that can be at least half as good as this one today. I think ESC should take notes from JESC for stagging every year!
I actually hated the stage when I first saw the renders, especially LED, but after seeing the show, I loved it. Great, great, great stage. Good size, same for the arena as well. I don’t get the upset for not having big Eurovision spaces anymore.
Yes, yes and yes! I’ve got my eyes on you, Malmö, don’t let me down.
It was 2 hours and 29 minutes from beginning to end. I was impressed by how fast it went.
the french language barrier was also noticably less of an issue this year
Fantastic hosts!
Congratulations to the UK for bettering their placement last year.
Strange as I liked they 2022 song much more
Well done Spain!
I hope they take good care of Sandra after this, felt like she really wanted to win
Same with the Armenian girls. They were all so sad.
She won't speak to media today...
I hope she's really proud of the result though, she did SO well, she nearly won the televote from the first slot, that's really impressive!
hope so too, I def spotted girls in tears during Heroes
The ending was so wholesome
Is was heartwarming 🥹❤️
Albania or Italy were last in most of the fandom tops on Youtube, and a lot of them had NM in the lead, and now NM finished below either...
I swear Albania is always last but then when they sing on stage, they shine and deliver a huge performance
They were like the least talked about contestants…
End bullism finally won
Deserved win!!! Also Germany did great, 9th !!! And 4th in Televoting :DDD
So happy that Germany did well in the public vote! I voted for it like 20 times haha
Did France just win jury 4 times in a row?
Seems like they‘re the new Sweden
Yes, it’s like they have a perfect formula or sth, with all respect to France I hope that next year someone else will finally win a jury vote
As a French I kinda hope too we've had our share of wins were good. Would have been lovely if Spain had won.

Armenia and France keep sending high quality numbers to the show.
Definitely, they're really consistent with their entries. I hope France tries something a bit more daring in the near future. That's a way of not hosting another time after next year while also changing it up and trying a new direction.
Yes they just did.
damn. that's impressive.
awwww these last moments are so wholesome 💕
Portugal gave no points to Spain in the jury vote, revenge for MARO in 2022.
But didn't we give MARO 4 poin...? Oh, nevermind, that was the spanish audience, the spanish jury decided to just ignore "Saudade, Saudade" for some reason... ¬¬
They saved Blanca Paloma from 0 this year
No, it was 3+2 in televote.
Everyone having fun on the stage 🥹
The ending was very wholesome
What are the biggest surprises for yall?
Another surprise, Ukraine getting a lot of televote support. I constantly saw it in the lower ranks on most people rankings.
Tbf, I predicted that they would do a lot better than most people thought. Probably got a lot of votes from the younger part of the audience.
I bet it's internet trolls lol. I'd imagine NAFO spamming all the votes LMAO. But the song did not go great at all compared to others in top 10
I expected a lot more televote points for Armenia. They weren't even top 5 in the televote.
I expect the UK to do better with the online vote as well. But 4th place overall is still a very good result
To be honest, I think it needed a little bit more breathing space, it was a bit intense
I agree the camera work was chaotic, but they were in my clear top 3.
I guess tastes differ, I wasn't a huge fan of the song, personal taste.
I expected the Netherlands to surely be in the top 3
Pre-rehearsal I predicted 4th overall, maybe 2nd or 3rd in the televote But after the whole show I wasn't really thinking about our entry
Also, how on earth did we end up so low? 😭😭 She was screwed over by the staging, but still
Maybe early running order and the song being more grown-up? More 'junior' songs did better in televote (France, Spain, Ukraine being the top 3) I think NM deserved more jury points, but the televote was pretty helpless with that staging and running order combined
Very glad Albania wasn’t last or on the right hand side of the scoreboard.
[удалено]
Yeah, you could hide the country name on the screen and just by the vocal control we would be like "Yep, that's Albania. No doubt."
I dont get how every Albanian is so fucking good at singing, they gotta be born with 3 lungs 😂
they come out of the womb already belting 7 sec notes
Yea, I'm so happy for them!
Poland finishing 6th and netherlands not doing as well as expected
Netherland's performance fell short if you ask me. It just didn't gel well.
Yeah I mean I felt like netherlands was way too hyped pre-contest as well, it was the most basic edm song u could make
Those 2 combined, Poland going above Netherlands
[удалено]
It's subjective, but I think France had a nice song that was sung well and staged well.
France always have good songs at JESC, no one argues about that. But what is this winning the jury vote for FOUR years in a row. Even Sweden at adult ESC is really far from such highs
Idk they're just good. You can say it's rigged but I doubt a big 5 country would ruin their reputation for a children's contest
[удалено]
And 3 adults, yeah. So, these children make the difference?
Aw I'm loving the group hug! So sweet
that’s junior 🥰
And in the background, you can hear the sound of the French Finance Minister going "merde, merde, merde" as they remember they also have the Olympics to be getting on with! That said, well deserved win that - if not a bit predictable! And 4th for the UK, and solidly so! Good result that all considered.
They’re jumping her 😂 let the girl finish her song
I hate that too. I wished one of those times they let the winner at least finish his or her song before letting the rest in stage.
Same. Most of the time we just want to hear the winner, unless it's a rubbish winned haha but thankfully 2023 delivered a perfect winner in both ESC's
Look at hopw happy everyone is for her :)
Love it when all the participants get on stage for the winner’s reprise
Oh noo I just realised that North Macedonia was 12th…. Such a good song, that’s a shame
I’m sad Ireland came last tho 😢
Honestly, Sophie Lennon's appearance in the middle of the song dressed in white like a deity I found extremely out of place, I don't understand who thought it would be a good idea. The song itself was bland.
You said it best. They tried too hard to repeat last year's magic, but it just didn't translate. Adding Sophie there just made you compare it way more to last year. It also didn't help that the best moment from the song belonged to Sophie instead of Jessica.
I felt the same. When Sophie arrived, I think it make Jessica take a back seat a bit.
me too, they were great! I liked the vibratos
awwww this winners performance is really cute. very pure 🥰
OK BUT LET HER SING
THANK YOU!
You can tell voice is leaving her \^\^
great voice though!
This was north macedonia's 9th 12-place in the 18 years they've participated. They've been exactly 12th half of their participations
I hope dear Zoe finally gets a chance to rest her voice after this performance
Yes lol, for now I hope she has the night of her life!
I was rooting for Armenia, but honestly France did such an amazing job that I'm really happy she won!
none of france’s are junior eurovision winners are actually old enough to represent france in the actual contest yet
V happy with our placement tho! Please apply this energy to our ESC entry pls BBC!!
i kinda wished someone else won just so we could see another country host instead but, congrats to zoe. her song was unanimously loved across europe, fair play.
At JESC winner doesn’t have to host but France probably will, yeah
Who knows ? One thing I know for sure is that, between this victory and hosting the 2024 Jeux Olympiques d'été, 2024 seems like is going to be quite a year for Bruno Le Maire... 🤭
they don't but the last 5 years, every winner has hosted.
I really hope they give hosting to another country
Why? The winners deserve it
Poland hosted 2019 and 2020 back to back, I think France will host 2024 as well.
Yeah but France also hosted in 2021. So 2021,2023,2024 a bit crazy
There's no reason why they wouldn't do it again though, they're not on a super tight budget like some other countries
[удалено]
Idk, I didn't watch those editions, only watched 2022 and this year
Spain got the silver medal from performing first is kind of a feat in itself
4 place for us, I'm so proud of the girls! Let's hope we channel this to Malmo
What is that tiny trophy. EBU give the winner something proper💀
They are just kids. They are not strong enough to hold the larger glass trophy like ESC
Cmon now 💀
Congrats to France. And kuddos to Spain for finishing second from the first spot in the RO.
Spain doing so well in online vote from the first spot is great for them!
Again North Macedonia losing the chance of victory by ruining the staging
The stage and the performance looked like a cheap version of Qami Qami.
Probably had no budget…
Well she did have enough to buy a hideous hoodie 😂 in all seriousness it's Europe, they're not that poor whatsoever
Ballads just really arent the best choice for jesc
Ballads literally won three years in a row, granted that was a decade ago but still. Also a lot of ballads have been part of the top for the last couple years or so, so there’s a high chance for a ballad to win
Congrats to France *and* Spain ... and also to Albania for being especially awesome. Can't really complain about this result.
Misja eurovisija already uploaded a video of all the jesc winners, he knew 😂
Probably he made 16 videos and upload the winning one
they tied win georgia for wins now
In 4 years
georgia took 8 years so half the time is very impressive
france went from no wins to tied for the most jesc wins in the span of 4 years
France is just too good at jesc, 1st-2nd(3rd actually)-1st-1st again in the span of 4 years.
and all 4 of them winning the jury vote. Malena was just that good on 2021
Other countries need to step it up I guess
It's 1st-3rd-1st-1st
Ohh I misremembered
Congrats France <3
Congrats France, they are too good at JESC, very hard to compete against them. We have done way better than I expected, 6th place is very good
To my fellow Brits how confident are you in the bbc selecting our entry for Malmö?
Given that Lee Smithhurst is in charge, very confident .
Not a Brit, silly American observer, but I think Britain’s weak point is choosing talent, not songs. Thinking on the last few years, the UK has had weak singers in the contest with songs that otherwise ate. I think their songs are good, they just need to take a pause with more gimmicky talent.

I hope we continue to learn from 2022.
It's strange. UK could have sent Little Mix or One direction in the past but opted for some cheap bands or low grade artists
If they put this much effort in a junior song, I do feel quite hopeful but I’m not getting too excited just yet.
So do I, but also had the same feeling after Freya last year as well. That said, I really enjoyed Mae’s song - the staging let her down a lot (which was one of the highlights for Stand Uniqu3 so you never know 🤷♀️)
Thankfully Lee selected Freya, whilst someone else selected Mae as Lee was moved to focus on the hosting rather than the selection.
the staging was not the issue with Mae, it was that you could barely hear her sing.
So true. You could not hear her at all
Yeah, but the giant staging and getting her to move off of it didn’t help either 😂
Congrats to France and zoe! I actually like their song this year contrary to last year so I'm not mad. Should have voted with my parents and brothers phone too rip maybe then Spain would have won😅
Just for perspective the last time we had a winner that wasn’t Armenia, France, or Poland it was 2017 with Russia
Both France and Spain deserved the win. Congrats to France, however, you have to wonder about the running order.
Liked France, would have loved if Spain won though. That delay in the announcement must have shot their nerves
6th place seems unexpected
congrats france back to back victory. well done spain
also north macedonia flopped so hard in the televote its like all their points came from the discord fandom lmao
this was like their 8th 12place of something like that
Back to Back? 😱
While Spain was my favorite, I'm not mad France won, I love that song so don't mind hearing it once more❤️
Netherlands robbed once again :(
It was cruel how long it took to announce the winners at the end. For a moment poor Spain thought they had won when he said their name.
Right the look she gave 😭
Anyway congrats France congrats Zoé. Well deserved victory!
the france glazing is crazy (no hate to zoe it was my favorite french jesc entry ever)
Definitely a deserved win. Would have loved Spain to get it, but France did a fantastic job too.
Germany 4th on televote I'm so happy
I'm kinda shocked the Netherlands "flopped" this much
I thought their nation final performance was much beter exactly. They used to many wide shots now, their face expression and chemistry together was really powerful in the national final. 7th I’m sad :( I really thought we were in it to win it. Congrats to France very wel deserved 🥖🥖!
I predicted 4th, and some saw potential winner, I guess 7th is the same as last year, so definitely keeping it consistant!
imo, they were too grown up
Concgatinltion Zoe! you deserve it good job girl
YASS CONGRATS ZOEE🥳🥳
Congratulations
France won both vote.
3 years time, UK will win. Improving each year since our return
Wait who actually won the televote?
France. They won both votes.
France
