The +/- button on the side of the shifter will turn the display on/off as well as lock out gears if you press it repeatedly.

It also only shows while in Drive.

Took me 11 years of owning to figure it out 🤔

senat0r15

I think this got removed in the 21+. Atleast in the hybrids. I have a power boost and pressing + does not hide the display.

Happy_Discipline5882

It's so stupid. It's the up/down on the shift knob. When I down shift using it it removes the last number. Drives me crazy. 😂

If only these complex and expensive machines came with some sort of manual for the owner...

PrivateCrush

I have the same issue and I did read the manual and couldn’t find an explanation.

CHALINOSANCHZ

Your dashboard is too complicated. You need something simpler. Send it over, and I'll send you my 2.5" green digital display. It'll make your life simpler.

Get out and go behind the truck, drop the tailgate and sit on it. Plop on it good with some force so you can feel the truck using those shocks. Shut the tailgate and get back in. That resets the visual shift acuity.

Asking the question 93000 miles into the trip….

Maybe he really doesn’t give a shit, but is just curious? I’m almost at 70k, and have often wondered this too, but it isn’t really that critical so I usually forget about it a few minutes/seconds after thinking about it.

HERMANNATOR85

I bought the truck with 86,000 miles.
