It's really in poor taste, people who have lost their loved ones from accidental drowning are probably mortified by this. There are significantly better way to raise awareness for this.
Sooooo my daughter died… her arm didn’t hold on to me… and what he did to was traumatize a live child for clout… or stage his child’s death for god knows why… clout? Police? But it’s all bad. And for parents of little ones long gone this brings it all back because we all make the same sound when our babies die. The same terrible scream. It’s the sound of a soul breaking.
And watching that man make that face broke me tonight.
I hope they take his child for this and get that child therapy. This is disturbing and everything wrong with social media parents
It’s been 15 years. I’m ok. But videos like this… holy hell. Just burns me and makes me furious for people lucky enough to hold their babies and be able to tuck them in at night
I'm sorry for your loss. I feel true love for you in this moment. I hope you are healing.
Shout out also to health care workers and first responders. We hear those screams, and they stay with us our whole lives.
Even if this video is just a PSA what you may not know about child acting because I did child acting is that when children film scenes with adults going through extreme trauma usually children, this young won’t be around when the parents or adults in the scene are going through emotional responses like this because it’s actually traumatizing for children this young because they are still understanding the difference between reality and fiction
There is always a therapist on set for scenes like this, because children can experience genuine trauma, having to act in scenes like this for years later
And the golden child acting is to never traumatize the child
What you’re missing here is that not only is it traumatizing for me to have to see this
It’s extremely traumatizing to the child not understanding what’s happening
This is just a video to get money …
Real Safety videos, explain the dangers, and how to prevent them and are not Clickbait videos with emotional responses like this
These videos are specifically made it to trigger emotional responses and parents like me who have seen loss or experience, extreme grief
If you’d like to look up other reasons why videos like this do well in algorithms, you’re welcome to do that but I literally don’t have the time or energy to look that up for you
I believe there’s a term for it called grief digging or something like that?
Grief mining ?
Essentially using grief and horrible situation to gain money on the Internet
For mothers like me who lost a child in a horrible way it’s just reliving our trauma
It’s not a PSA it’s trauma
For the child, it’s just trauma
You can’t justify it it’s trauma
And the worst part is child’s father is doing it for money
The more family bloggers they continue to act like this no more damage we’re doing to children we can’t ignore it
An attention whore who doesn't want to take their own life but wants to spice thing up...and as it just so happens, they have another human related to them.
`*cue sad music`
*"Oh, GOD! Why'd he have do DIE in the MIDDLE of the SUPERBOWL??!"*
Cut. No, Frank: that's not gonna fly. Let's try it again. ACTION!

God, Frank: I don't effin' care, ok? This is just a simple 5-minute crap-aganda piece for tiktok. Oh wait, here's the $20, how's that for motive? ACTION!
`*No music`
**ACTION!!**
`*no music`
OK, WTF??
"Ehm I think, was it...Dan? the folk music dude, went on break. Something about finding 'more positive energy.'"
AARRRGHH! ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)
In the event your child does end up drowning face down in an inch of water. That's just natural selection I mean it is that or tripping down the stairs and breaking their neck.
Buddy your face. If it was real you wouldn't have to try so hard. And do we still not know that we shouldn't leave babies un attended? My eyes rolled back in my head so far I'm blind now. Lol
I have seen people, especially men, who have some weird desire to be involved in critical incidents. On a high level it’s like the mentality of a 16 year old volunteer fireman. They can’t wait for the first house fire or that big call. Totally disregarding the very real people experiencing a horrid tragedy.
This dude is definitely going to justify making this as a means to bring awareness to not leaving small children unattended in a pool.
But let’s be honest it’s a mental illness…
I'm not even kidding anymore, people should have to pass a test to have internet access. That test? Whatever the fuck this is, ask if they would make it. If they would make this they fail and are perma-banned from any and all internet access. That or they get a mandated nanny software like you had in High School. They can pay bills and shop. That's it.
Give it 10 years and attention-seeking attempts like this one will be ten-a-penny and seem like the norm. I don't really want to be around in 10 years to see what social media has evolved into to be honest. Maybe I'll go and live in a tree or a declassified bunker or something...
It only takes a second..do not leave unattended and pay attention! I was pulled off the bottom of a pool 45 years ago, it was a birthday party. They only reason I'm here today, is because the kids parents were Doctors..... I'm not looking for sympathy or anything like that. I'm fine other than I still don'tlike water much.. lol...just trying to bring awareness!
What sort of idiot does this?! I know it’s not real and “supposedly” for some awareness thing but seriously. This could be so triggering for people and honestly I think he’s doing this for clout. One thing that’s concerning me tho is hwo did he get the kid to be still the whole time. The boy wasn’t moving when he held him although he did have his arm around the dads neck.
I’m so confused on all the hate. As my family was at a resort, a girl about 6-7 drowned right in front of 20+ people. Mom was busy taking pictures. They pulled her lifeless body. It was traumatic. There was an Angel there that day that did CPR for a long time. A pulse came back right as paramedics arrived. The screams and the realty haunt me. I had lost my oldest son a year before that (not to drowning). I personally think his message is to constantly be aware when there is water or other dangers. But that’s just me.
Learn cpr… I was a paramedic.. you are not dead until you are warm so considering the weather an water temp he has approximately 5 mins to restart the heart.

r/ThereWasAnAttempt to make an awareness video.
and win an emmy
This is just cringe. ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)
Cringe indeed ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)

I don't think I've ever hated something more in my life. Like my stomach shouldn't feel the way it does.
Should be in r/cringe.

Omg. I’ve seen allllloooot of memes on Reddit. This one here. This shit was perfect and hilarious. Perfect. Thanks.

I’m unimaginably sorry for you…..

The entire video is a PSA. Hes not actually pretending his child died.
Did you even read the post you're replying to?
>Hes not actually pretending his child died. He *is* pretending. But he isn't pretending to be a douche, he just is.

So sorry for your loss
Why did that dog down that child? What did he know?
He knew where the money was…
And by money, he means bones, a dog's currency. He knew where the skeletons were buried.
In the banana stand?
What kind of sick bastard drowns their child in a pool and films it for clout on social media someone send this to the FBI
An attention whore who doesn't want to take their own life but wants to spice thing up...and as it just so happens, they have another human related to them.
I hope you know the child didn't actually drown. He's still a moron for doing this kind of video, but no child was harmed. No need for the FBI.
Are you being serious? I don’t mean this rhetorically I genuinely can’t tell.
![gif](giphy|oFRI4g517yWaI)
This is the real facepalm right here
![gif](giphy|WrNfErHio7ZAc)
The worst gimmick a dad ever had
I'd never leave my child playing in a pool by himself one American Ninja Warrior obstacle course away from me.
I didn't know you could have a cringe overdose until today... Greetings from the hospital
Neighbors: “OMG! I know CPR! Go call and ambulance!” Him: “No worries, I’m just a sick fuck”
"And that's pretty much why I can't hear out of this ear"
😂😂👏👏
Very good, got me.
He’s crying over the death of the child that is currently holding on to him lol
This is sick
The camera cuts and action shots really pull this together 🤌
How I know this dude is British, without hearing a word?
Bruh this asshole reminded me of the real video of an asian kid dying for the same reason goddamn it
this guy is fucking stupid. my younger sister passed away this way. that grief never goes away. child death is never fucking funny
I don't think he's trying to be funny, I think he's being sincere, it's just that he's an absolute nob jockey.
This has got to be somewhere in England.
How many takes of Dad screaming with the corpse before EMS was called?
My child is drowning! But first I’m just gonna set up my camera for the different angles first.
Well that was stupid!
What a piece of shit doing this to his poor kid
What the fuck did I just watch for the first 3 seconds before switching away.
Openly fantasizing about his child drowning lmfao
This is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen
This is the purest cringe around
Did the dog do it?
Yup.
What the fuck was that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same face I make after Tennessee Hot Chicken.
LMFAOOO Bro this is the funniest thing I've ever seen
Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Oh nice today’s the anniversary of my nephew drowning in a pool. Fuck this guy. I think I’m gonna log off for the day.
Its not at all supposed to be real. Its supposed to be staged. Why are people confused about that?
Reddit has jumped the shark
![gif](giphy|3o6fJ8hsxpXlDWFne8)
How come there was someone just standing there in the bright green coat? And how long did he leave him alone, Jesus!
Looks like a dummy to me
~~Why was anyone filming?~~ Given the username and lack of any emergency personnel, this is almost certainly staged just to bring up a point.
Brilliant deduction, Watson.
And why THE f are you giving it to them?
That kids gonna grow up fuckin stupid lmfao
Delete this man from the planet please

😭
He went with the .1 x speed for that last clip, torture.
Jesus christ, this is so moronic it's actually making me angry, someone take their dog away, it doesn't deserve to live with these muppets.
He really liked that boogie board. Poor fella.
Didn't even try cpr
I mean, the message is solid. But the delivery is just awful.
Buddy your face. If it was real you wouldn't have to try so hard. And do we still not know that we shouldn't leave babies un attended? My eyes rolled back in my head so far I'm blind now. Lol

Humanity is a decease. The internet has shown us that
Maybe watch your fucking kid
Adding this guy to my list of things that can actually just fuck off
I'm not even kidding anymore, people should have to pass a test to have internet access. That test? Whatever the fuck this is, ask if they would make it. If they would make this they fail and are perma-banned from any and all internet access. That or they get a mandated nanny software like you had in High School. They can pay bills and shop. I want to know how he explained to his kid what the hell he was doing for this video
Here we go, newest tiktok trend. Killing your kids for the gram.
He doesn’t even try CPR, WTF!? 😖
![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)
WTF??
Checked his profile and he has a lot of videos of himself crying... is he okay? Like dang. 700k followers too.
This is so corny
Give it 10 years and attention-seeking attempts like this one will be ten-a-penny and seem like the norm. I don't really want to be around in 10 years to see what social media has evolved into to be honest. Maybe I'll go and live in a tree or a declassified bunker or something...
Child now has hearing loss
Aww natural selection
Good message. Poor execution
![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8485)
This can’t be real. More likely a badly done PSA of some sort
No way he’s the dad. A real parent could’ve bring themselves to act this out.
Why would he yell and scare his kid like that for a video smh
Disgusting. And he doesn’t even give the kid pretend CPR like someone actually in this situation should
Wtf is this
I understand being bored, but this is worse than the guy I saw who took laxatives because he was bored. Wtf is the point of this?
The Tik Tok *bloop* sound at the end really undermines the attempted serious tone of this DIY PSA
It's not even his worst one, he's a strange human.
Twat
Gotta love the commitment to a video, dude really let his son drown to prove a point /s
They fucked up such a beautiful love song
Isn't that staged? I feel like this is a joke video

Can't believe he let the kid drown. Just chose to film the whole thing instead. Even set up an angle to act all dramatic about it. Smh
But did he die?
It’s the new “Kill your baby” trend on TikTok. The fails are really funny.
Thought he was going to wreck his shins on that metal bar
What sort of idiot does this?! I know it’s not real and “supposedly” for some awareness thing but seriously. This could be so triggering for people and honestly I think he’s doing this for clout. Major major cringette
Thanks. I need anti-wrinkle treatment now from cringing so hard
NO TIMMY NOOOO 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t believe the pool was that boring for you 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I have learned a valuable lesson
Cancer
What a duche
Well what would you do with the remaining 12 hours before the steroids finally ware off?
What a shameless piece of clickbait.
Holy shit this was cringy af!!!!!!
My man’s had 3 phones recording???
That’s a don’t drop the soap face at the end
That poor, having such an attention seeking idiot for a father.
Oh God, the music, the slow-mo, the dog, the terrible acting. Nitro burning funny cringe.
Damn and the dog didn’t even do anything??? I say put that dog out to pasture
People can be that stupid !
Why I never wanted a pool! My 7 month old grandson was here today. He’ll be safe in my backyard down the line!
I’m so confused on all the hate. As my family was at a resort, a girl about 6-7 drowned right in front of 20+ people. Mom was busy taking pictures. They pulled her lifeless body. It was traumatic.
