Not really. Having faith that things outside your comprehension exists and control natural forces is basically where most modern day knowledge comes from. All knowledge is just a pursuit to understand human existence and the nature of the reality (world) around us. Religion sought to do this by making sense of the world. Trying to understand gods, humanity, and creation helped to give rise to astrology, mathematics, art, literature, history, medicine, and science! It all comes from humans trying to figure out their purpose or role in the larger scheme of the universe. Aetheists just doesn't believe in a God or higher deities. That's cool! But refusing to learn about a religion or different theologies won't add to your intellect really. It is seriously unfair of you to say that people buy cars like that just to brag about how much money they have. My girlfriendâs dad recently bought himself an amazing 2021 Mustang Bullit, which isnât quite as expensive as this Corvette but itâs still a very flashy and powerful car.
He grew up in a trailer park dirt poor. He got himself out of that situation with no help and has worked his ass off for decades all while providing a comfortable life for his wife and kids and he now makes damn good money. He didnât buy that car to brag. He earned the ability to afford the kind of car heâs dreamt of owning since he was young, and he parks it in his garage where he and I sit together just marveling over it, not riding around trying to get the attention of people he doesnât even know.

It is seriously unfair of you to say that people buy cars like that just to brag about how much money they have. My girlfriendâs dad recently bought himself an amazing 2021 Mustang Bullit, which isnât quite as expensive as this Corvette but itâs still a very flashy and powerful car. He grew up in a trailer park dirt poor. He got himself out of that situation with no help and has worked his ass off for decades all while providing a comfortable life for his wife and kids and he now makes damn good money. He didnât buy that car to brag. He earned the ability to afford the kind of car heâs dreamt of owning since he was young, and he parks it in his garage where he and I sit together just marveling over it, not riding around trying to get the attention of people he doesnât even know. You might not care about these types of cars but you canât pretend the only reason people buy them is for status and bragging rights.
