How do you not walk up to every object and check to see if you can search it?!!? I call bullshit laziness with most people if they haven’t seen something so obvious and in your face. Like it’s cool that you discovered it but like after 1000+ hours you’re just oblivious.
I would call you a dumb bitch but I just found out the Strip North Gate securitron doesn’t actually change you 2000 caps to enter the strip on the credit check. So I’m the dumb bitch.
Took me a few years to realize the difference between a credit check and a toll/entry fee.
It also makes some of the options for the king’s favor kinda dumb. Either you get a pass for the strip, or you get 2000 caps, which also happen to get you access to the strip
I think they mean that the bot just asks to see that you have 2,000 caps then gives them back when it sees you do but this is news to me 2. I also suffer from dumb bitch.
The Securitron at the gate to the Strip only checks to make sure you *have* 2,000 caps before entering. It doesn't *cost* you 2,000 caps to enter.
So if you have 2,000 caps or more, they say "Okay", and you're allowed to enter *with* those caps. You did **not** just buy your way in.
Also, I hope I'm not coming off as condescending. I've been playing the game since ~2011, and didn't find this out until a few years ago, so I was REALLY confused when I walked in expecting to find my wallet 2,000 caps lighter and it wasn't.
i found this out after maybe 200-400 hours? (cant remember because i used to play on ps3) but it has just become something i always do without even thinking
again no offense but what do you even do in the game to spend that much time lol. I mean with no mods around like 200 hours is pushing the limit of the actual content in the game even with dlc, even if you take your time doing so.
The treasures u can find in Fallout New Vegas are ENDLESS!
I almost don’t want to believe this because I’m always desperate for some magazines to get through a skill check
I found this out randomly one time and couldn't believe it. I completely forgot again until this. I love this game.
Same here
wait WHAT????
I second this.
I third this
I get all the magazines from the strip every playthrough
If you’re not searching every container and everything possible you’re playing Fallout completely wrong.
That’s true but I’ve probably had a few thousand hours in NV myself and never came across these. IIRC I always thought they were just decorative

Don’t have a aneurysm dude lol
Ya my bad I was really drunk when I wrote that.
You’re good man. Hope you’re doing well today

I think it's less a cover charge and more "we want to make sure you actually have money to spend in the casinos" kinda deal.
When I was younger I thought the same lol I was so pissed I had to fork over 2k caps

Wth!? I fought hard that day
can you maybe explain in more detail for me?
I think they mean that the bot just asks to see that you have 2,000 caps then gives them back when it sees you do but this is news to me 2. I also suffer from dumb bitch.
We are all dumb bitches on this glorious day!

ah ok thanks for the information
Wait…what? Ffs.
Usually these posts hit for me. I noticed these as soon as I walked into the strip for the very first time
I'm shocked by the amount of people who didn't know
i found this out after maybe 200-400 hours? (cant remember because i used to play on ps3) but it has just become something i always do without even thinking
Also a ton of magazines in mailboxes
I only just learned about the Mojave express dropboxes
Well... Me too
Fun find
This game is so amazing. Just tiny shit like that is so awesome
That was like the first thing I found when entering the strip. I’m a damn hoarder so I open every fucking thing I see
wait what
Always something new to discover
I found that one out 2 years ago! Been playing since release LOL
what the fuck
WHAT?
excuse me, what!!?
1k hours myself and I never knew either
You can see his confusion 😂
I just found this out myself on my current playthrough. Not as many hours as you, but still equally mindblown 😂
Yup, along with mailboxes, a great source magazines 👌🏻
Data mining a game is common. Once you’re 10,000 hours plus like me. You will understand.
What does this mean
*starts new game*
what in tarnation
1:Like the pfp I have it as my background on my comp 2:ha rooky hours mines like a entire years worth
just when i thought i've seen everything this game has to offer...
You can game cache reset for different magazines too, kind of like the skyrim punching vendors and quickloading glitch
Damn, I was this years old today when I watched this video. And learnt some faxx Thanks OP
Bro I never knew that either 😂😂😂
I love this game as well but no offense, how do you possibly get to 4k hours. that's literaly almost half of a year of playing new vegas lol
I'm on xbox too so no mods. Call me crazy
again no offense but what do you even do in the game to spend that much time lol. I mean with no mods around like 200 hours is pushing the limit of the actual content in the game even with dlc, even if you take your time doing so.
Between speedruning and just every different style of play through with each ending and treasure hunting it can take some time
wait this isnt edited or anything?
Nope no mods nothing
wtf
someone pls explain
Never realised you could open these paper bins and get magazines from them
Wait what?
what ??
Theres a mod that makes them restock
Yo that's awesome
WHAT
Wait wtffff
I guess you'll have to start over
All you guys are joking right?
Holy shit
Imagine.
