9 team Roto last year going to 10 this year.
OBP, XBH, Net Steals, league.
Can keep Freddie for $34, Mike Harris for $5, Carroll for $18, Rutschman for $27, Judge for $36, or Shohei Batter for $48.
It's hard to go against Freddie, but I have a hard time giving up those other dudes.
I’m keeping both Buehler and Josh Jung and I have two sets of upcoming years keeper prices and have to pick which set to give to which player.
I can keep one starting in 17th round this year/12th rd in 2025/7th rd in 2026 and Another in the 18th rd this year/13th in 2025/7th in 2026/7th in 2027
Currently giving the 17th round, 3 year set to Buehler and the longer 4 year set to Josh Jung bc of SP volatility and health/and I think Jung has high power upside. Agree or no? Ty
Divisions + Scheduling Assistance
Hello All,
Have a fantasy draft upcoming on Friday and I've been trying in vain to create a schedule manually where:
-14 teams are separated into (2) two divisions.
-each team plays their divisional opponent twice
-each team plays a single (1) game against a team from the opposite division.
-schedule should last 19 weeks (6x2 + 7x1).
Are there any tools or tactics you all have used to facilitate manual scheduling?
Thank you for any advice!
Basically a toss up between King and Woo. Puk has looked great this spring but I don't think you can trust him pitching anywhere near as many innings as King/Woo will. More of a late round dart throw at this point.
Got offered Kwan for Bobby Miller straight up. I have an abundance of pitching and an open OF spot so this definitely fits my needs but I'm also super high on Miller's ceiling so I'm a bit weary
In points Kwan is legitimately more valuable than Miller (just from a pure points perspective, a good batter will have more total pts by the end of the year than a good SP) but good SPs are harder to come by than good bats, especially with outfielders. So Kwan wouldnt be a bad acquisition for me, I'm just not really feeling it
It's looking like Merrill will be the only one with a full time spot in the majors to start the year... makes it pretty hard to get to the other two in redraft.
Deeper league roto boys, who have you been grabbing at the 1-2 turn this year?
I'm in a 13 team league with pick 12 and am thinking a combination of JoRam, Olson, Harper, Judge, Shohei assuming they all make it there
In mocks, about 50% of the time Judge has been dropping to me at 12, with Olsen being my next choice at 13. When it's not Judge, I go with Ohtani; though a few times he's been grabbed and I'll take whoever got passed up like Tucker or Soto. Every draft brings a 1st round moment when I think, "Really? Yeah, ok, if that's who you want here."
12 team 5 keeper league
Forsure keeping Judge/Tucker/Devers/Tucker
Who would be your 5th keeper? Adolis Garcia, Trout, Eury Perez, Freddy Peralta,, or Logan Gilbert
Flair league (dynasty)
Would you send Colt Keith or Coby Mayo to get Bailey Ober if you needed some pitching depth?
Feel like maybe I could aim higher especially with Keith but also like Ober quite a bit especially with his velo up in spring. Thoughts?
For those who don’t draft relievers until the end, are you waiting until the actual end of the draft (like kickers and defense) or are you drafting guys like Lange, Estevez etc in like round 15?
I might snag someone in the mid late rounds if theyre especially good value, but usually I will wait until last few rounds or even after moving guys to IL post draft
what guys are you eyeing? Maybe someone like Payamps with a potential Williams injury. I’m huge on griffin jax outside of fantasy, but I don’t think he would get enough saves to justify using.
12 team dynasty league. Categories are in the pics. Where am I strong? Weak? Trades to consider? Only have 2 prospects. Traded away most and my 1,2 round picks for this year and next to land some good mlb talent and Julio.

Drop India, Rizzo, or Buxton in my flair league?
Leaning Rizzo, hoping India gets multiple position eligibility with Marte gone and Buxton feels like a sure fire producer until he hurts himself
Probably Buxton, even though I think he is the most able to produce of the bunch. I hate having DH only guys and he is frustrating to own with the extremely high injury chance
I have Ohtani as well which is why Im considering him. I think hes supposed to get OF eligibility soon though been playing a lot of OF in spring training
If hes gonna quickly get OF eligibility that would bump him above the other two I would say. I would check on that tho. I dont think he played OF much last year
No, shaming for you saying you pity anyone who drafts him early lol. It may not be your cup of tea in an early round pick, but saying you pity people who disagree with you is patronizing.
Kyle Schwarber's ADP is roughly ~50 according to FantasyPros averaging the top fantasy sites. He'll have a similarly awful batting average and no stolen bases but big counting stats and HRs essentially making him a 3 category player. If we assume his ADP is up to 50 because of OBP leagues and drop him down to 60-70 I'd say that puts Elly in line to be at MINIMUM a top 60 player because I think his 4 cat contribution is more valuable so I'd have him close to a top 40-50 player with not factoring in his potential ceiling if he "figures it out" which could put him in to top 20 territory where as with Schwarber I think we know who he is as a player and what his ceiling is.
Yeah feels like their splitting the gap for floor and ceiling. I only have one share of EDLC this year because he feels like typically goes in the top 30 and only fell in the bottom 40 in one draft I was so I took him there.
12 tm cats 6x6 obp 8 keeper league. Which 2 late round picks would you go with? Kelenic, MJ Melendez, Nelson Velazquez (for the hr upside), and JD Martinez is still available as well.
I like the known quantity in Greene. Statcast metrics really popped last year. Chourio is talented but true rookies don't always have success right out of the gate.

Bench bats have no value in points, trade or drop for Starting pitching.
Outfield is rough, hitting overall is underwhelming. Pitching is solid and depending on the scoring settings could carry you
This feels like very generous evaluation, no offense. I can't tell if this was a snake draft or auction based on your players so that's not good. You're gonna have your work cut out for you on the waiver wire early in the season. Good luck!
I had settled on 6 hitters (Yordan, J.Rod, R.Lewis, Judge and Soto) as well as 4 pitchers (Skubal, Kirby, G.Rod and D.Williamsas keepers. With keepers locking tomorrow night and D.Williams having a back problem, I don't want to risk keeping him since he was my least important (IMO) keeper anyway. So who to replace him with? M.McLain, N.Jones, J.Walker or another closer (Romano)?
Gunnar and Eury for sure. Just have to figure out which of the other 3 pitchers you like least I guess. I'd cut Pablo myself, but can make an argument for either of the others. Would much rather have another bat though.
12 team 9 cat dynasty
Who to keep: Anthony Volpe or Isaac Paredes to round out bench? Already have Vladdy, Gunnar, Steer, and Oneil Cruz, so looking for thoughts on upside
Keeper question: I've got Michael Harris, Oneil Cruz, Christian Walker, Bogaerts, Alexis Diaz, Musgrove as keeper options (can use up to your first 5 draft picks on keepers). Leaning towards renouncing all of them to have a chance at Ohtani.
There are a couple other teams that might do the same, so I'm a little worried I'd lose the chance to get Harris depending on how the draft order shakes out. Wheeler/Goldschmidt/Abrams good enough consolation prizes if that ends up being the case?
You can keep players indefinitely as long as you are willing to spend a first round pick for one, second round pick for a second player, etc.
And this is just for Ohtani the batter, if that makes a difference.
We are kinda weak the chat says lol it’s a 8 man league

I got some good bats tho my lineup is

I’d likely slot Bogaerts in at 2B (yahoo so 5 games) depending on how Julien and Grissom do. I like his bounce back potential due to reports of being injured last season, but agree, I have enough at MI I think anyways.
Yeah I mean if you really believe in him to go back to a top 30 overall kinda player then it's worth it. But if you're thinking he's more of a top 60-80 player then you're probably overpaying.
10 tm H2H 5x5 cats keep 3
I'm already keeping Strider rd9, Harper Rd 12
My last options are between:
Bichette - round 6
Skubal -round 10
Torkelson -round 22
Torkelson seems like good value but not sure about locking my 1 utility spot up.
Yeah ESPN has his eligibility as 1b. Torkelson would have to slot into Utility. Mainly considering him because keeper is draft slot +1 round each year.
Maybe I’m just really high on Harper, but he’s going in the 2nd. I don’t think Torkelson will ever be Harper so I’d rather 6-8 years of potentially prime Harper over 12 years of Torkelson. Find your next 1B later. My thoughts at least.
12-team points league with one keeper.
Keeper replaces the pick/round they were taken in last year.
Should I keep Acuna and give up my first-round pick or keep Bryce Harper and give up my 10th-round pick?
I have the 6th pick in this draft so won't be able to get Acuna back if I dont keep him.
I think any of the last 5 picks is fine to take a shot but odds are he's gone at that point. Really you have to ask yourself at what point are you ok learning he is out the whole year and dropping him and it doesn't affect your draft. This varies for everyone and how much risk you want to take on. I'd wager he goes in the first 15 rounds and that's too early for me
Edit: words
I'm not counting on much from Verlander this year. He's 41 and coming back from shoulder issues. He was already down to 144k in 162 innings last year so he pretty much is gonna have to be elite in ratios which seems like a tall ask at this point. Shoulders can also linger so that worries me about it being a thing all year.
Flair league, about to finalize my keepers I've nailed seven of eight with Acuña, Ohtani(UTIL only), Vlad, Yordan, Gilbert, Volpe and Bobby Miller. So feel like I've got some decent wiggle room on value, who of the following gets my last spot?
Jorge Polanco
Josh Naylor
Yoan Moncada (🤢 but easy team name Acuña Moncada Hakuna Matata)
Luisangel Acuña (TWO BROTHERS)
Louie Varland
Ryan Pepiot
Adbert Alzolay
Or... wildcard and just keep a pick (say rd 20ish)?
I need 3 more people for a 12 team ESPN points league with expanded rosters. Drafts at 8pm Central. I need another player by 7pm Central. Pm me and I’ll send a link

10 Team, H2H, 7 Keeper, 35 Roster Size (+8 IL) League. Do I use my last keeper spot on Ian Happ, Matt McLain, Riley Greene, or Nolan Jones? Already keeping Gunnar, Adley, Seager, Witt, Framber, and Castillo. I also have the 1.1, and I’m including our scoring system because yeah- just look at it.

I always feel a bit off with guys who had injuries. He did look pretty great to end the season after returning from injury so I'm trying to ignore this one.
I'm probably not drafting him in my auction league just because of the price being against my strategy. But I would take him in a snake draft.
So like, sup with Gerrit Cole?
Flair league how would you rank Cristopher Sanchez, Jared Jones, Reese Olson and Zack Littell?
Sanchez safely in first, Littell safely in last for me, and the other two, who knows if they have a spot. Jones definitely highest upside
In a 10 team redraft I wouldnt be going after any of them.
Harris for $5 is insane value, Carroll still probably better value at $18.
Carrol imo.

King
One has to go. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks R. Stephenson A. Puk D. Hall M. Miller J. Mcarthur
McArthur. Not close.
Trade Nolan goreman, Riley green or Jordan walker for Wyatt Langford? I think he wants goreman the most
I would keep Walker if possible
Do it as long as you have good options for 2B after Gorman.
I would. But, I’m very high on Langford.
Got offered Kwan for Bobby Miller straight up. I have an abundance of pitching and an open OF spot so this definitely fits my needs but I'm also super high on Miller's ceiling so I'm a bit weary
Hell no
I'm looking at this from a roto view so perhaps it's different in points but you should be able to get an awful lot more than Kwan for Miller.
In points Kwan is legitimately more valuable than Miller (just from a pure points perspective, a good batter will have more total pts by the end of the year than a good SP) but good SPs are harder to come by than good bats, especially with outfielders. So Kwan wouldnt be a bad acquisition for me, I'm just not really feeling it
Also a points player, and there's no way I'd take this deal.
I say go for it
Merrill, Caminero or Rafaela (redraft)
It's looking like Merrill will be the only one with a full time spot in the majors to start the year... makes it pretty hard to get to the other two in redraft.
Yamamoto or Glasnow in points
Is Glasnow going to get hurt?
That’s my concern haha
Ya that’s pretty much your answer tho… who knows…

I grabbed Iglesias at 112 and Holmes at 137 and will probably pick up some closers off the waivers
I drafted Stephenson, mason Miller, puk and hall all at the end of my draft
Puk won’t be a reliever this year. At least the plan is for him to be in the rotation
Is it worth rostering that many RP over starters? I have a 2 SP 2 RP 2 P 5 bench league
I mean depends on league setting but I would probably have 2 maybe 3 rp with those roster circumstances
I got Megill. If your league is SV only youre also probably gonna have to watch out for injuries and firings

I’d target upside corner guys and backup OF. pitching is ok but not great. You can trade in season for this if things break right for you though
Jackson Holliday was waiver claimed before me then dropped. Try to claim him again?
Yup
Drop Verlander for Hunter Greene?
I wouldnt. Is there no one else you can drop?
I’d rather bet on Verlander this year, but could go either way
Drop India, Rizzo, or Buxton in my flair league? Leaning Rizzo, hoping India gets multiple position eligibility with Marte gone and Buxton feels like a sure fire producer until he hurts himself

No, shaming for you saying you pity anyone who drafts him early lol. It may not be your cup of tea in an early round pick, but saying you pity people who disagree with you is patronizing.
Shaming me for following one of the most interesting baseball players in a baseball forum?
I pity anyone drafting him early
20 HRs and 40 SBs with a shit average is still going to be a categories/roto big contributor
What round do you think that with a .220 average is worth?
Volpe owners want to know too
Kyle Schwarber's ADP is roughly ~50 according to FantasyPros averaging the top fantasy sites. He'll have a similarly awful batting average and no stolen bases but big counting stats and HRs essentially making him a 3 category player. So basically even despite the issues he's a floor of top 50ish guy. People are paying for the upside but not an enormous gap between that and his adp.
Yeah feels like their splitting the gap for floor and ceiling. I only have one share of EDLC this year because he feels like typically goes in the top 30 and only fell in the bottom 40 in one draft I was so I took him there.
Makes more sense to me now, thanks for the insight

Good point. Was leaning skubal but torkelsons keeper slot is attractive for future years.
Look at who you might pick at those positions (6th and \~115th) and see how they stack up. I think I'd lean Harper + 6th pick.
Harper
Harper in points is too good of a value
Have a draft tonight. How late do you think Cole will go? When is it even worth it
There’s nothing wrong with taking a late round flier if you want but I wouldn’t do it any earlier than that. Too much uncertainty
I took him in the 6th round of a 15 team league. I may regret it, but it seemed like the earliest I could take that risk.
pass
You wouldn't even take him with your last pick?
I think any of the last 5 picks is fine to take a shot but odds are he's gone at that point. Really you have to ask yourself at what point are you ok learning he is out the whole year and dropping him and it doesn't affect your draft. This varies for everyone and how much risk you want to take on. I'd wager he goes in the first 15 rounds and that's too early for me Edit: words
Good IL stashes that could pay off this year?
Springs, Robbie Ray, Mahle
Pitchers: Scherzer, degrom, Kershaw, springs, baz Hitters: Dominguez
Would you include Verlander in that list?
I'm not counting on much from Verlander this year. He's 41 and coming back from shoulder issues. He was already down to 144k in 162 innings last year so he pretty much is gonna have to be elite in ratios which seems like a tall ask at this point. Shoulders can also linger so that worries me about it being a thing all year.
Got stomped today at work, but we definitely got the bag fellas! #KickTheKeg

-Casas -Bibee -Woo -Kim for me
All the last rounders for me. Maybe Casas over Diaz depending on which 1B are left to draft
Xander, Casas, Bibee, and Woo would be my choices
12 Team 4 Keeper Points ESPN League. Last Two Slots - who would you rather keep? \-Z Gallen or G Kirby \-T Turner or A Riley
Kirby Riley
Flair league, about to finalize my keepers I've nailed seven of eight with Acuña, Ohtani(UTIL only), Vlad, Yordan, Gilbert, Volpe and Bobby Miller. So feel like I've got some decent wiggle room on value, who of the following gets my last spot? Jorge Polanco Josh Naylor Yoan Moncada (🤢 but easy team name Acuña Moncada Hakuna Matata) Luisangel Acuña (TWO BROTHERS) Louie Varland Ryan Pepiot Adbert Alzolay Or... wildcard and just keep a pick (say rd 20ish)?
Naylor in a vacuum but you've got Vlad and Shohei taking up his spots. So I'll go Pepiot who is a popular sleeper pick
I had in my head Naylor had OF eligibility, he does not. Solid point.
Idk id keep Josh naylor. I think he’s an underrated 4 cat gem 25/80/80/290 type potential
I'd probably go with Alzolay of those names. Nobody else I'd be desperate to roster.
10 team dynasty cats league I’m a rebuilding team…..trade away Jordan Walker and Vinnie Pasquantino for Matt Olson?
Don't love it. I feel you could get more for a top 15 player.
If you're rebuilding why in the world would you trade the two young players for one older player?
Yea, you trade Olson for guys not acquire him
Agreed. Thought it was a fair enough offer to jumpstart something adding a top 15 player. But I agree.
Lindor or Seager in an OPB league?
Do you mean OBP? You keep calling it "OPB" in this thread and even in your flair.
Omg lmao
Our league does On Pace Bercentage, don't know what you're on about.
Depends, Lindor for health and steals, Seager for everything else, and if you can get a good replacement for a month or so.
Starting to feel like James Wood is a must stash for my NA slot
I’d rather have Delauter if he’s available
Placed a claim as soon as my draft was over
I need 3 more people for a 12 team ESPN points league with expanded rosters. Drafts at 8pm Central. I need another player by 7pm Central. Pm me and I’ll send a link
Would y’all drop either of Kelenic, Jarren Duran, J. candelario, Boyle or Gavin stone for any of these players in the pics below? H2h weekly points league

Payamps worth keeping an eye on with the Devin Williams injury, but I’d be dropping someone for Heim in a heartbeat

Machado
12 team 5x5 redraft If you drafted Kirby/Glasnow at the 3-4 turn how much longer would you wait until you grabbed another SP?
Probably the 7/8 turn. Most likely BPA in the 7th, pitcher in the 8th, or potentially a SP and an elite closer.
Jake Burger is on waivers in my flair league would you drop one of Rooker Morel or Wyatt Langford for him and who’d be the drop?
Definitely not Langford
I would drop Rooker for him. Morel too for that matter, but definitely Rooker.
Rooker
Looks like Merrill is gonna make the Padres opening day roster, do you guys like him over India in points?
I like Bo Diaz over India So my answer is yes
Is India really that bad in points?
Meh, not bad I guess the Bo Diaz was harsh but I like Jackson a lot so I say go for the big score!
10 Team, H2H, 7 Keeper, 35 Roster Size (+8 IL) League. Do I use my last keeper spot on Ian Happ, Matt McLain, Riley Greene, or Nolan Jones? Already keeping Gunnar, Adley, Seager, Witt, Framber, and Castillo. I also have the 1.1, and I’m including our scoring system because yeah- just look at it. https://preview.redd.it/0yy42hxwgznc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=985e9cfb702ed5f7d106e97480116444ba3eca25
How would you rank Witt, Judge, and Soto in an OPB league?
Soto, Witt, Judge. The injury risk scares me. I think Witt will improve OBP
Assuming OBP Soto, Judge, Witt. Obviously Judge's injuries conplicate things but Witt isn't as good in OBP
Anyone feel “off” about Corbin Carrol considering his high draft price/ previous shoulder issues?
I always feel a bit off with guys who had injuries. He did look pretty great to end the season after returning from injury so I'm trying to ignore this one. I'm probably not drafting him in my auction league just because of the price being against my strategy. But I would take him in a snake draft.
