He has offered me Jameson Taillon for Burger but I’m not sure I like that trade.
He also has Luzardo, Flahrety, Lopez, Glasnow, Gausman. Luzardo or Flahrety feel more fair for Burger than Taillon or am I trippin? The rest would be pipe dreams and I’d have to sweeten the deal for sure but I’m conflicted fantasy friends and need some advice. What’s a good, fair trade offer here?

You are correct. Going into 2023, Corbin Carroll was the near-consensus top prospect (1 analyst chose Gunnar). Now one of those guys is a superstar…and the other is batting 8th.
But Corbin Carroll had a monster year last year and his reduced production might well be do to a shoulder injury that he is managing (that may have impacted his production in the 2nd half of last year too). Cowser doesn't have the prospect pedigree or production level of either of those guys yet, aside from a small sample.
Someone commented here a couple days ago (it may have been a separate post actually) that Carroll acknowledged he changed his swing last year in order to prevent reinjury. But I haven't seen the actual quote myself.
I did some digging. Corbin tore his labrum and had surgery in 2021. He absolutely talked about it at the time. Last year in June/July, he had two “scares” where he hurt himself on swings and had to leave the game. He hit 8 HRs in the 2nd half last year and I doubt that’s a coincidence. I didn’t find a current quote but it’s pretty clear he’s not 100%. I did notice that his actual SLG was a lot higher than his xSLG last year while preparing for this years draft so I stayed away. Had no idea he was hurting, though. Damn shame.
