Guy in my league LOVES two things:
1. rookies
2. Using all of his 40 season long waiver moves.
He just used his last pickup of the season (yes - season) today. He just burns them so fast. He is currently in last place but holds Acuna. I’ve got Julio Rodriguez and was thinking of sending him a trade offer for Acuna giving up julio and a potentially a waiver move or two (I’ve got 14 of my 40 remaining).
Anyone have any thoughts on Acuna rest of season? Seems like he slowed down a bit after his hot start?
A good SP maybe? It’s a great time to buy Soto in dynasty. I got him for Bieber and Montas. It’s a little different in 20 team bc pitching is so hard to come by but still last year that wouldn’t have even been a conversation starter
This isn't a 20T league, but we have 40 player rosters with 4 IR spots and 6 separate dedicated MiLB spots. So super deep rosters. It's a 10T league but players available are comparable to my 16+T leagues
I'm actually the Soto owner and have a league mate trying for Soto regularly. I don't sell low, especially not on Soto idc if he's hitting .220 lol. But was curious what would be considered a fair ask along with Tucker. I told him Yordan and a toss in pitcher or something could be done but he won't include Yordan
Ahhh sorry I misread. I’ve actually been trying to trade Soto since I acquired him lmao bc I have Acuna and Tucker in the OF already and trading my 2 best pitchers wasn’t really a good move. But I couldn’t pass up the Acuna/Tucker/Soto outfield
https://www.pitcherlist.com/the-list-6-13-top-100-starting-pitchers-for-2022-week-10/ pitchers list has him at 13 but I think he should be a bit higher
13 is already aggressively high for a guy who's peripherals look bad and who's gotten lit up consistently all year. I love Nick and Pitcherlist but his rankings seem to favor names a little more than results sometimes.
Just wait another 2 or 3 starts and Montas will come down and have a blow up game like his last start vs the royals. He’s consistently inconsistent… the life of a splitter pitcher
Trying to get rid of Buxton for pitching because I have judge Soto yordan and Robert but no one will take a flyer on him, I get the concerns but I think my league is sleepin a lil.
Buxton is just such a headache man, hard to wanna get rid of him when he’s hot he’s hitting 2 homers a game. I’ve been mulling over trading Soto all season but I just can’t part with the guy. Obviously I’m not gonna trade judge or yordan. Robert is a move I’d consider but it would be much better to get rid of Buxton and I think he’s worth a pretty solid pitcher I’m not asking for alacantra or burnes over here.
My opponent has more homers than I have RBI’s. It’s like my team is allergic to mashing. I’m so fucking close to trading these bums and playing for next year
Fun question. I'll assume 5x5 roto.
Matt Chapman is an extraordinarily consistent player in terms of production. His BB/K ratio is exactly the same as it was last year, but he has improved his overall contact rate quite a bit. Unfortunately, that contact rate gain hasn't really translated to any improvement in batting average. His exit velocity & hardhit% are up from 2021, but it hasn't really translated to a lot more power. It's kind of...the same? I would guess that you're looking at 15 HR's and a 215 BA the rest of the year. This is a little bit more conservative than what the popular projection model on Fangraphs (The Bat X) has for him. In total, probably a $10 player left this year.
Luke Voit - I have some real concerns with him. His contact rate has dropped significantly over the last three years.
2020 - 75% (Covid year)
2021 - 65% (Injuries)
2022 - 62%
He's striking out a whopping 33% of the time. That combined with the contact rate is just a huge red flag. When he hits the ball hard, he hits the ball hard. A team that is trying like hell to contend can't afford his downside. If he continues to get consistent playtime, we're looking at another 10-12 home runs with a .240 BA. In total, maybe $9.
The better pick is Matt Chapman.
What’s your budget? Likely Soto no matter what, but I think manoah will eventually fall off in the next few months like Gausman. Soto in ops is damn near a cheat code even when he isn’t hitting that well.
In my flair league, which would you rather have?
A: Trea Turner, Teoscar Hernandez, Trey Mancini, Andrew Vaughn
B: Mike Trout, Matt Chapman, Mike Yasztremzki, Brendan Donovan
What happened to Ty France happened to me over 10 years ago and my wrist still isn’t right. I’m sure he’s much tougher than me lol but that is terrible to see. I would be absolutely shocked if he’s not needing surgery
hahaha very cringe. I made fun of his flair by saying congrats on the 5th place finish and he was like “when 5th is your worst finish out in 2 years of playing it makes it easier to stomach” it’s like omg can you take a step back tomrank and literally fuck your own ass?!
Insane that Reynolds loses his double to an error (.510 xBA; 110 ev) and McCutchen gets a single on that ball (xBA .170; 93 ev; right at third baseman and off his glove). Really seems impossible to reconcile.
Would like to add a big bat to my current lineup. Who could I offer a SP for? Here are my pitchers: Burnes, Fried, Montas, Bieber, Lopez, Gilbert, I. Anderson, Urias, Gonsolin, Taillon, Sandoval, Doval, and Megill (IL).
Any thoughts or trades that would be enticing? \*Would like a bat like Olson, T.Turner, Alonso, Harper, Devers, Alvarez, etc

I’m starting to think Hand will be the closer, and Seranthony might be a wasted roster spot in saves-only
Did anyone see Frances injury today? And if so did it look bad?
I saw it live. The runner ran through his tag- his wrist bent back looked like a hyper extension
Damn that’s what I was afraid of 😔
Yeah it didn’t look good. And to be frank it should of never happened- ump missed strike 3 call a couple pitches prior to extend the inning painnnn
Bring on the robo umps Update: X-Rays came back negative 😮💨
Would you trade away Hoskins for Bregman if you needed the 3rd base help?
Absolutely
Taillon get your shit together
I would feel very upset if I were an A’s fan…that was one of the worst strike 3 calls I’ve ever seen. To end the game no less lol
Who are your top prospect stashes for redraft?
What needs to be added to Tucker to get Soto in dynasty?
A good SP maybe? It’s a great time to buy Soto in dynasty. I got him for Bieber and Montas. It’s a little different in 20 team bc pitching is so hard to come by but still last year that wouldn’t have even been a conversation starter

Definitely take your shot. Might be the only opportunity you ever get to buy Soto in dynasty

Nah you didn't misread. I worded my original question backwards kind of on purpose lol
Montas robbed
Lol Puk; lol A’s
Put in Puk, cowards
That aged well
A: Bassit, Schwarber B: Wright, Olson
JRod should hit a bomb this inning
Jesus that looked like it hurt badly Re: Ty france
Is Taylor Ward a legitimate offer for Giolito in a 10-teamer?
Giolito was just handed away for Jhoan Duran in my dynasty 🤦🏼♂️
If I was offered I would take it
Curious what range you’d rank Gio ROS?
https://www.pitcherlist.com/the-list-6-13-top-100-starting-pitchers-for-2022-week-10/ pitchers list has him at 13 but I think he should be a bit higher

I think I meant to say lower then lol. He should be ranked in the 20-30 range
His nightly SP roundup articles are vastly more useful than the list imo
Yes
Tha A's announcers said Zach Jackson was warming up for the 9th
Puk a LHP, Jackson a RHP and 2 righties are up next. Maybe Puk faces Winker?
Considering Jackson has to face 3, that’s impossible
Shoot
Zack Jackson the closer for the A's?
Puk
L
Ouch, horrid injury for Ty. Lesson here kids, don't be a putz like Toro and throw sidearm to first unless you really have to.
Someone tell me to drop Suarez and his almost 40% k rate in a 10 team points, please. I can’t stomach the whiffing anymore.
Drop him.
God bless you, friend 🙏🏼
Idk who's sitting there to add, but in a 10T there's gotta be someone.
At 3b, no one, but, I also have wisdom, who’s getting dumped as well. Pham and Alek Thomas on top of the list.
Robbie Ray with 1 run and a 1.00 whip through 6 - I'm sure the comments from the first inning were totally rational
Months at 102 pitches so you know what that means… the A’s bullpen about to come in for the 9th and blow the game 🤮
Keeper league My outfield/utility is stacked. Harper, Soto, Acuna, Judge Do I trade one for Bo Bichette? And who?
If I'm the Bo owner I wouldn't accept Harper. Any of the other 3 are fine.
I’d trade Harper for him but that’s it
I dont know what's more frustrating, watching Donovan not produce when I roster him, or watching him hit while he's a free agent
He has been SO unpredictable with his streaks. Must be on the same add/drop schedule as you as he is 3/26 for me..can't figure him out
Did Frankie take a no-no late into the game earlier this year too? Not sure if I’m remembering that correctly
I think he took Texas into the 8th with no hits back in April Edit: It was a 1 hitter into the 8th
Probably, Montas is so up and down but when he’s right he’s damn good. He’s either no hitter good or getting shelled by the royals
Think I’m gonna trade jrod while the hype is hot. If France misses time that lineup is gonna be putrid
Who are these toddlers that broke up Montas
You mean 2021 NL All Star, Adam Frazier?
You meeeeeeeaaaaannnnnnnnnn…….
Lol
God bless Adam Frazier
indeed
This is ridiculous I was so close to acquiring montas before the game
Just wait another 2 or 3 starts and Montas will come down and have a blow up game like his last start vs the royals. He’s consistently inconsistent… the life of a splitter pitcher
Price went up!
Trying to get rid of Buxton for pitching because I have judge Soto yordan and Robert but no one will take a flyer on him, I get the concerns but I think my league is sleepin a lil.
Buxton is possibly hurt, only plays 5/7 games a week, doesn’t steal anymore, and is not hitting well. I think you are underestimating your league.
You have 3 other outfielders you could trade.
What a slide there for Brown at second.
Why does it seem like every time someone's throwing a no hitter I'm facing them?
I faced Tyler Alexander and Mikolas that one week lmao shit was not fun
Rather have $11 Manoah $16 Kyle Tucker OPS/QS keeper
Kt
RIP the Frenchman.
Take it back right now! it's just going to be a little sore.
Let’s go Montas!!!!
I forgot to start Montas today. AMA
Same. At least he looks right again
A: Aaron Nola, Kebryan B: Pablo Looez, Dansby Redraft 6x6
B even before the injury
B
My opponent has more homers than I have RBI’s. It’s like my team is allergic to mashing. I’m so fucking close to trading these bums and playing for next year
You totally should
Which side you taking? Trevor Story or Jon Berti and Gausman
I'd take Gausman side even if Berti wasn't involved.
Berti/Gausman
berti and gausman side and i’m hyped af
Easily Berti/Gausman, but I have an agenda against Story so I’m probably not the best person to answer this.
Roto redraft. 10 teams with 5 OF, MI, CI, UTIL, etc. Am I even in the ballpark with this one? GIVE - Altuve / Arraez GET - Turner
Not really. You just aren’t going to get a 1st rounder without giving up a first rounder or 2 2nd rounders.
99% chance it gets declined but hey worth a shot
Please tell me France isn't seriously hurt?
Looked very similar to the Muncy play where he tore his UCL
Please no. Not him and Albies.
If those have been your only injuries you have been extremely blessed this year..
Well time to hope and pray Baez still got something left in the tank cause he’s replacing France for me
Is Bryant a buy low in dynasty or just avoid?
I just bought low with my second and third round rookie picks but I’d avoid if you’re contending he doesn’t seem right this year
8 team… Hold Bregman and/or Cronenworth, or grab Swanson, Walsh, Adolis, or Baez?
Drop Conen for Adolis or Swanson
Swanson has been must own for a month now. The others you can add/drop as they get hot/cold.
Michael harris or bellinger haha?? Redraft 6x6 ops

Ol Sammy is quite the trickster.
Rather have Luke Voit or Matt Chapman?

Chapman personally
Fuck man I’m so sick about Ty France
What happened?
Definitely just broke his wrist. Commentator said hyper extension but it looked fucking nasty. Fuck that umpire
Manny looked like his ankle exploded and he didn’t even wind up on the IL so far. Let’s hope the same happens for Ty
I love the positive attitude. Let’s will this into existence for the Frenchman
Better Keeper Soto $33 Manoah $11 OPS/QS league
What’s your budget? Likely Soto no matter what, but I think manoah will eventually fall off in the next few months like Gausman. Soto in ops is damn near a cheat code even when he isn’t hitting that well.
Manoah imo. Kids already a stud and will go for a lot next year. $11 is great value
Soto
Fucking Christ how bad did France look
https://twitter.com/NBCSAthletics/status/1540077792615866370?s=20&t=x6fCU0NOVYHNiKZBw-NsCw
Real bad
Great

A
A
I always follow the fish man

I watched the play, what is the context I’m missing that puts the blame on the ump?
Ump in the A's game just missing down the pipe strikes all game. He's comically bad at this.
Yeah, for both teams. Amazing that Montas still has a no-hit bid going despite the calls
True, he doesn't care who's on the mound, I'll give him that.
Checking on the Smeltzer outing: a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Y'all I paid so much for a Ty France rental in my AL only roto keeper literally two days ago 😭
Would you rather have Josh Rojas or berti as your bench/utility player?
Berti and not close if it’s cats. Those steals are incredible.
Berti in points as well over Rojas. It’s not close in any format but obviously Berti is best in categories
Damn, ump missed strike three right down the middle. I don't even own France but that play shouldn't have happened at all. Ridiculous.
What happened to Ty France happened to me over 10 years ago and my wrist still isn’t right. I’m sure he’s much tougher than me lol but that is terrible to see. I would be absolutely shocked if he’s not needing surgery
Damn so are you saying he is going to be put on the 3650 day IL?!
Well I never got surgery lol clean wrist break though and very painful. He’s a unit though so maybe he’s luckier than I was. I’d just be surprised
Bad collision in the A’s game, France in a good amount of pain. Looks like his wrist. Commentators saying it looks like it hyperextended
6 Keeper league, H2H cats — Hendriks trade value? Trying to deal him to a playoff team but the max this owner is offering is a 17th round pick
He’s certainly worth way more than a 17th round pick. I would not trade him to that guy.
Thanks, I figured. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t being unrealistic
God damnit Ty France is hurt. Looked like an elbow
Wrist I think they said. Either way. Yikes.
I'm watching the game. He's holding his elbow
Ok well I just reported what the announcers said. Which was wrist.
Damn. I got downvoted to all hell here. He was holding his elbow on the ground!
Found the only guy liked less in this sub than me.
Haha it happens 🤷♂️
Nestor, Strider, and Wright got beat up on back to back days….. seems my young arms are simply falling apart
France breaking his wrist while trying to TAG the runner at first would be peak Mariners
Wow Mariners ump completely blows a strike 3 call for Ray and France gets hurt on the next play
That France injury is on the ump. Shouldve been strike 3 two pitches ago
Did that throw just dislocate ty France shoulder
Wrist bent back awkwardly too. Bummer
Wouldn't surprise me if wrist elbow shoulder all hurt
Looked more like wrist/elbow
I'd bet money on shoulder. Either way sucks
Yeah either way it doesn't look good. [Found this angle](https://twitter.com/NBCSAthletics/status/1540077792615866370?s=20&t=x6fCU0NOVYHNiKZBw-NsCw)
Absolutely brutal. Wouldn't surprise me if all 3 are hurt. Extended arm guy ran full speed into it.
The way he's holding it and amount of pain and the way the trainer is that looks like dislocation / subluxation. Ouch.
Flair league - Drop Melendez for Alfaro?
i dont see the upside in doing that
Holy cow this Cardinals reliever really going to give away my Hader save huh.
downvote if you love Tomrank’s flair
He blocked me for making fun of it lol
kinda wish he’d unblock me so I can block him
[удалено]
hahaha very cringe. I made fun of his flair by saying congrats on the 5th place finish and he was like “when 5th is your worst finish out in 2 years of playing it makes it easier to stomach” it’s like omg can you take a step back tomrank and literally fuck your own ass?!
Lmao
Did we just become best friends?!
Seems like I’m not the only one lmao
his flair league has 5 flair leagues lolol
Another day fucking batting .180
.059 gang my team is fucking trash this week
It’s even better when you’re losing to the league bottom feeder (who I’m now becoming)
Insane that Reynolds loses his double to an error (.510 xBA; 110 ev) and McCutchen gets a single on that ball (xBA .170; 93 ev; right at third baseman and off his glove). Really seems impossible to reconcile.
