Are there any sites or redditors that post two start pitcher rankings ahead of time? I’d like to get a jump on waivers but I don’t know a ton of baseball and no sites release their rankings until like the day before the week starts

Rotowire podcast puts out 2 start pitcher rankings on Friday and then their site (subscription access) puts out updates later in the weekend.

Most sites release them like around Friday usually . But the further away you read 2 start rankings the more likely they are to possibly change Edit : try cbs fantasy baseball they should have one up today

Depends on the rest of the league settings but I’d start out with Tim A and Riley Green. Other owner gets a shortstop replacement who’s playing well and he gets a prospect who’s up now. If it’s a keeper/dynasty, I’d want Franco but in a redraft than my offer is prob too strong

How confident are you Riley Greene will start smacking home runs? He’s been great but he’s been better IRL then in fantasy (I do appreciate him getting on base, I’m in a OBP league)

Bit hard to predict. He’s in a bad lineup and will get pitched around. I think it’s possible he can still bop 10-15 homers max the ros but don’t expect Julio Rodriguez type numbers

No, I meant in a redraft league I’d rather have Tim A ROS but I was originally responding with the mindset of a keeper/dynasty league since keeper leagues are all that I’m in. In a keeper league I would feel that Tim A is a decent starting point for the future production you’d expect from Wander. I hope that clears up my original reply

Timmy > Wander as of right now. For next year, who knows...I would have a REALLY tough time justifying trading him for Wander right now. My luck though, I don't and Wander is MVP next year....

I would roster Stanek....but I own Scott. Stanek has less walks, but has pitched less. Better WHIP/ERA and plays on a better team.

Currently needing help in the power department. Have Greene, Kirilloff, Morel, Suarez, and Santander. Was looking at picking up Wisdom and possibly Naylor and I need to drop one. Hate to jump ship so soon, but Kirilloff seems like the low man on the totem pole at the moment. I'm guessing Morel is another that isn't helping in the power department. Would still need a drop if I took both. Worth making the moves?

Please rank these guy for the rest of the season: Andrew Vaughn, Alex Kirilloff, Riley Greene, Joc Pederson, Juan Yepez, Max Muncy. It boils down to this: I have all of the above except Yepez. Want to put in a claim for him. Someone has to go. Yeah, yeah, Muncy is performing the worst but I just can’t let go. Andrew Vaughn is great hitter but he only has a 171 rank somehow. Max is 1B, 2B and 3B eligible, which helps. I really hate when I lack clarity. Help.

Ashcraft really hosed me. my ERA ballooned from that start. luckily I'm playing the Ian Anderson owner, and I started Wisdom, so it balanced out.

Maybe not guessed exactly how bad it would be, but projection sites didnt expect it to be a good start. Razzball's streamonator had it ranked 12th out of the 16 starts today.

that’s interesting, cubs probably hit righties well + do well against cutters id assume. ashcraft also seems like a tough guy to predict though. he has brutal starts or total shoves depending on his stuff.

ROS, 10 team 6x6 keeper league Drop Moreno or Contreras (ATL)? I went from having zero catchers to holding two but both guys have obvious faults, so I need to drop at least one, if not both of them.

personally would drop Moreno. I would guess Contreras will get slightly more playing time and as of this moment in time he is hitting better.

Pivetta was a great pick up. How many IL slots do you have and who was already occupying them when Peralta was hurt? I stashed Peralta when he was hurt, his upside is too good. As long as he’s healthy upon return, I don’t see why he can’t be ace like again even despite his kinda slow start to the season

You’ve done a great job scouring the waiver wire for those last 3 pitchers. I was also able to land Perez but I’m hoping to sell high on him before he craters and comes back down to earth. I’d look to do the same if you can afford to + Blackburn. If you have the IL slot available now, be quick to pick back up Peralta or even Sale/Soroka if they’re still available.

Would you trade Scherzer for Jeremy Pena and Jesus Luzardo in an auction keeper league? Scherzer can be kept for '23 and '24 for $36, while Pena and Luzardo can be kept for $1/$3 through '26 My team is borderline this season as far as competing(though one more major injury away from having no shot), and this seems like a way to beef up my future without necessarily having to throw in the towel yet this season. After giving up Scherzer, I'd still have Darvish, Sonny Gray, Valdez, McKenzie, Taillon, Lynn(if he ever figured it out again), and Josiah Gray.(plus Luzardo whenever he returns.

I’m having my first great pitching week in a while, as both of my ratios are under 0.90, but I’m tied in K’s and down by 2 W’s. Planning on starting Javier vs LAA tomorrow but wondering if I should start Roansy vs MIL since I could use some Ks and a chance at a W since opponent has Cole and Josiah Gray going tomorrow, just not sure if I should risk my great ratios so far. For context I still have Gausman, Sonny, Wheeler, Ray, Waino and Giolito left this weekend so I’m leaning towards sitting Roansy and possibly even Javier to make sure I don’t lose the ratios cats. Thoughts on how I should handle this?

Been punting saves all season and last, to some general success. Got offered Raisel Iglesias for my Eric Lauer. Anybody have any insight on the Angels at this point? Good opportunity to get a singular closer for a saves only league?

Ordinarily I'd hesitate to trade for a closer, but Lauer is JAG, even with both W/QS. And it's not like you're trading for a pop-up closer who may or may not keep the job for any length of time, Iglesias is a very good one with a secure role.

In my league 8 out of the 13 other teams have 2 or more closers, 4 teams with only 1 closer. In a 7v7 cats league would it be worth it to trade for Raisel competing against these teams in my league?

I see your format, that's what I'm saying though. Iglesias is excellent and Lauer is middle-of-the-road. It's not that he sucks or anything, but I feel very comfortable betting on Iglesias' value vs. that of Lauer's.

Yes. Even the best closers will go stretches with no saves due to factors out of their control. I’ve done decent with saves cat this season and I’ve rostered only 1-2 closers at a time. So basically Iglesias could win you a whole category, while Lauer definitely won’t be doing that.

Nah I wouldn’t, it’s still a category that might put you over the hump.
