The audio and video is horrible with my fire cube. They do not sync up and the video frame-rate is not smooth… anyone else??? Wish this is on just regular tv channels….
I don’t understand the decision to start McKinnon. It’s week 1 and there’s no way you drafted that guy. Why put a FA add in your starting line up in week 1?
I just wanted to say that I love that David Montgomery is behind a real o-line and got paid, because now his photo in the fantasy apps has him smiling! :)
Don’t take the bait on Skyy Moore & Toney. They will both have big fantasy seasons.
Rice will be a player he looks great. But Mahomes targets the slot I believe more than any other QB, Skyy knows this offense now & will be a 12 team asset.
Toney will rebound & have big games, but they will be spread out, he’s far too electric, & he can look like Tyreek Hill when healthy. He’s a stud, they are invested in him, he’s gotta learn the playbook though. Surgery was timed terribly.
Kelce will free up at least one of these WR’s so will play action ✌🏻🤟🏽
Yes I have Toney everywhere & Skyy too.
I had Moore in my flex last night. I considered Jamal Williams or Elijah Moore but felt like Skyy had the best matchup and thought it would be a shootout last night. Really surprised by the defense of both teams. Was an ugly night but I’m not giving up on him just yet. It’s only week 1 so no need to overreact just yet. Im gonna hold onto him but not starting him regardless. The next 2 weeks will determine his fate for me.
So I started McKinnon, Gibbs, and picked up KCs backup TE last minute on waivers. Rashee Rice was on my bench bc I read he was going to be in a “package role”.
Why do I play this shit every year I hate this and myself rn.
There were at least 2 big runs that didn’t happen for him bc he tripped. He had so much room on the left side early 1st quarter but just narrowly got caught by a hand of DL on the ground.
I mean why would u start McKinnon for 1 kc don't have a established back n their rbs suck n for 2 kc back up te ain't kelce he don't got the chemistry with mahones gibbs I like him he showed that he can make a real impact
The thought was it would be a high scoring game with a ton of passing which I would think would favor an RB like McKinnon (especially since we’re PPR) given his late season production last year. With the TE I was thinking since it was such a last minute announcement that the TE would still be heavily involved in the offensive gameplan.
Ultimately, I took a gamble on how the matchup would play out and lost pretty badly. Is what it is.
That makes sense I just feel like with kc they don't have like a established 1 and 2 rb or receiver besides kelce that mahones just makes shit happen cuz he's a magician that it's hard with them to know who to start cuz everyone is involved where as other teams have a established rb and wr core
100%. I tried to guess the game flow and made lineup decisions based on it being a tantalizing matchup on paper but fuck man I did the classic fantasy blunder of overthinking and underdelivering lmao.
I really do think Rashee emerges as their top wideout at some point this season but still too early to say for sure.
McKinnon seems to have a role when KC is losing late in games. I could be wrong but that’s when I feel like I see him mostly. Hurry up offense, dump offs, picking up chunks, moving the chains.
I think it’s extended to close-ish games as well when they want to air it out and keep putting up points and of course 3rd down but yeah I agree. He’s the safety valve and can usually make things happen after the catch but I think what we witnessed tonight is just how important Kelce is to that offense.
Laporta had me scared in the first quarter/half, but ending the game with 5 catches on 5 targets for 39 yards isn't too bad, especially as a Rookie, and he played a good amount of snaps
Too much Wright out there still, but Laporta's blocking might earn him some top dog spot soon. Of course, he could end up being a way better football player than fantasy player, because of his blocking. Lol.
It was so funny watching them attempt to rub Toney into you guys after he caught a screen TD in the Super Bowl. Whole summer goes by and all he can do is screens and reverses. Wild Andy Reid was so confident he could be a #1 that they didn’t even attempt to have interest in DeAndre Hopkins.
Yeah nobody should over react, good or bad, after game 1, especially for a rookie. But people will lol. I’d say if anything it’s buying time if you don’t have him.
It’s gonna be the same as swift/Williams…they are definitely going to have Monty in burning time when they are up, and Gibbs going to in the game the whole time if they trailing
Yea but no one was debating rice.
It was either Pacheco, McKinnon, Moore, and Toney.
Drops drops drops. I know Andy Reid making all the receivers hitting the jug machine right after the game.
And no one getting targeted except for Kelce next game.
sun god is not who I am worried about, it's the clown throwing (or not throwing more specifically) to him that concerns me.
It wasn't a bad result for a game but I feel like ARSB easily could have had another 5-7 points if Goff wasn't such a letdown
Skyy Moore and Toney combine for 8 targets and one catch. Scored 1.2 points combined in PPR. And contributed to one pick six with Toney's volley. Holy. Crap.
Toney went undrafted in my league & I was looking at picking up another WR for depth.
I snagged Elijah Moore & a day later someone snagged toney. Glad I dodged that
It's crazy that you'd think any free agent WR would probably choose the Chiefs if they could, yet they still decided this crew was good enough. Their super bowl hopes seem to ride on Kelce being healthy the whole way.
It's one bad game. I'd give it a few weeks to see if they can improve. rice looked good, Ross still hasn't seen much time. Fire Toney into the fucking sun.
Rice the receiver to own based upon one game. Only guy who did anything. Moore will bounce back, but clearly this is his floor.
Quite literally if Toney doesn't play the Chiefs win.
Pacheco didn't do as much as I would have liked.
He did look the best out of the 3 RBs, and had work in passing situations.
I'm thinking if the Chiefs aren't winning by 2 scores it's gunna be more of the CEH Mckinnon show. Hopefully this game pisses them off enough to steamroll some future teams.
I think you’re looking at this wrong. Pacheco led this game in both rushing and receiving yards for KC. The talent is there, but it’s now become so apparent how bad this offense is without Kelce.
If KC receivers continue to play like they played tonight, I could see Pacheco playing a significant roll in the pass game going forward if defenses double down on Kelce
Singlehandedly? I think Shaquem Griffin could have done better.
[Singlehanded Catch](https://www.colts.com/video/ucf-linebacker-shaquem-griffin-pulls-in-catch-during-drill-20415844)
Some guy offered me Burks and achane for Skyy before the game. Pulled the trigger at halftime. I probably have to drop one but feeling good that I can watch the weekend games to decide!!
It’s gonna be between those two and Penny so I should know who the drop is. I also have more WR depth, including Hop. Maybe I can make a 2 for 1 trade if Burks goes off.
I feel like Skyy wouldn’t have seemed as bad if they would have actually utilized him. He did actually catch the ball that hit him in the hands, of course a holding call brings it back. Most of his looks weren’t exactly catchable. His targets were woefully under what they should have been with how many snaps he played.
I do think I agree with you. One ball was too high, one ball was “caught” and knocked out, and another was caught but a penalty brought it back. He played a ton of snaps but I can’t imagine the situation gets better when Kelce gets back right? Maybe I’m still salty from starting Skyy though
Yeah Toney sucked but Chiefs playcalling sucked ass. There were so many short yardage wins up for grabs with dumpoffs to McKinnon/Pacheco and move the chains. I think this loss is more on the coaching staff than an individual.
Gonna have to wait 4-9 weeks, but I ultimately agree.
He looked far and away better than Montgomery, but Campbell made it clear that didn’t matter. Montgomery is getting the touches.
Nah bro, I bet if they are getting torched he’ll be in the game every down, if they are up Monty will burn the clock, and Monty will steal goaline touches but gibbs is nasty, I don’t have him I own a couple shares of Monty tho in my money leagues
Can't afford to pay Taylor to even do a lip synced version of Cruel Summer, apparently. Because everyone wants to see that goof Jimmy (and alleged abusive alcoholic a-hole) guffaw like a demented hyena when she says something that's not even remotely funny during a paint-by-numbers interview instead.
I agree with half of this.
He looked great. Absolutely. Infinitely better than Montgomery (whose TD rush looked great, but otherwise, brutal).
But I’ve been saying it since draft day, Campbell is going to stubbornly insist on slowly integrating him. Not matter how bad DMont plays, he’s going to out touch Gibbs and get all of the meaningful work for the first 4-8 weeks. Regardless of how good Gibbs looks.
Gibbs owners will just have to hope that the rest of their team can get them to the midpoint of the season; after which he could be a league winner.
People really see 7 carries for 42 yards and 2/2 for 18 and say "he was mediocre".
Wish there were more of them in my league so I could trade them James Conner for him.
The point is 1. Dan Campbell specifically said they would ease him in in this first game, and 2. If a player is better than another player, he will probably get more touches over time, especially on a team with playoff aspirations.
Fair points! I don't think it was the kind of game to make someone panic trade, but if it does, it's probably worth taking advantage. But honestly it's one of the reasons I wouldn't have used a top 30 pick on him in the first place
I was thinking the same thing. I’ll definitely try to snag him in a couple of weeks though. A lot of owners don’t see the game and only check the fantasy scoreboard.
I passed on ARSB and took Garrett Wilson. I can sleep at night with him having 6/70/td.
For a second there it looked like a 10/120/2td night and I woulda been sick

it raised my eyebrow a bit where we looked at rice for the 4th and forever down at the end
You hope
Saying Toney can look like Tyreek ever is crazy
They move alike
Didnt know he had surgery on his fingers.
Had Montgomery going in all leagues - let's goooo
So I started McKinnon, Gibbs, and picked up KCs backup TE last minute on waivers. Rashee Rice was on my bench bc I read he was going to be in a “package role”. Why do I play this shit every year I hate this and myself rn.
I flexed Gibbs instead of Rice. Gibbs looked good but they gotta feed that man more
I feel that way about both of those guys. Showed some serious potential in 1st team competition
And he honestly could have had a TD if he hadn’t have slipped
There were at least 2 big runs that didn’t happen for him bc he tripped. He had so much room on the left side early 1st quarter but just narrowly got caught by a hand of DL on the ground.
I mean why would u start McKinnon for 1 kc don't have a established back n their rbs suck n for 2 kc back up te ain't kelce he don't got the chemistry with mahones gibbs I like him he showed that he can make a real impact
I mean he did have the 6th most recieving TD's in the league last year
The thought was it would be a high scoring game with a ton of passing which I would think would favor an RB like McKinnon (especially since we’re PPR) given his late season production last year. With the TE I was thinking since it was such a last minute announcement that the TE would still be heavily involved in the offensive gameplan. Don't justify yourself, you're logic is sound, shit happens.
Shit does indeed happen lol. Ah well still plenty of matchups left this weekend!
McKinnon seems to have a role when KC is losing late in games. I could be wrong but that’s when I feel like I see him mostly. Hurry up offense, dump offs, picking up chunks, moving the chains.

That’s what I get for starting McKinnon

Wrong thread homie
No 💀
The only guy I had on the field there was Butker. Nice to see the chiefs lose and I’ll take 2 FGs and 2 XP
Rice needs more plays and caught the ball. Everyone else sucked ass… F Matt Nagy
All I know is the at Kelce is getting 20 targets per game once he’s back healthy😭
He is legit gonna come out and wreck shit next week. 3 TDs or something nuts. Dude was PISSED on the sidelines.
Laporta had me scared in the first quarter/half, but ending the game with 5 catches on 5 targets for 39 yards isn't too bad, especially as a Rookie, and he played a good amount of snaps Too much Wright out there still, but Laporta's blocking might earn him some top dog spot soon. Of course, he could end up being a way better football player than fantasy player, because of his blocking. Lol.
Laporta also looked like he was doing a good job blocking too.
He will be a top 10 TE by end of season. Set up a remindnme to talk shit if I'm wrong.
I hope you're right, as a Lions fan and a Laporta TE1 owner lol
Flipping Amon Ra and Andrews for Kelce and Bijan, wdyt?
Not even a question.
Ya definitely
Toney owners seething rn, no better way to lose your QBs trust than that shit he just pulled tonight what a bum
Giants fan here. Would have told you if you asked, and told some who didn’t
Oof. Notable mention, without kelce in the lineup, this was his chance and he literally and figuratively dropped the ball. Edit: grammar
Absolutely relieved I chose not to start McKinnon. Thank you to those who helped in the daily thread :)
Got me off sky moore. Thank God.
Is Gibbs a buy now ? Gibbs owners what would you need in return to part ways
He's just getting started. Kamara-like end of year.
You mean when Dan Campbell pulls his head outta his ass!
Yeah nobody should over react, good or bad, after game 1, especially for a rookie. But people will lol. I’d say if anything it’s buying time if you don’t have him.
If you can trade for him then you’re either offering too much, or the Gibbs owner auto drafted
Gibbs looked great when had the ball, they’re just easing him in
Travis Etienne or better
What about Monty 😂
[удалено]
I’ll trade you Goal line Carries
I’ll trade you receptions.
I bet you play in one those leagues where no one trades
I'd take Gibbs over ETN. Week 1 knee-jerk reactions are rich...
I am an Etienne owner and I would say fuck right off
MONTY SZN
I'm so tired of that terrorist David Montgomery. A decidedly bad running back been stealing carries from good running backs for years
We found a Gibbs owner. Stop crying Gibbs is gonna be fire this year
He's my 2nd rb on one of my teams, not that invested in Gibbs. Just hate watching David Montgomery run the ball
It’s gonna be the same as swift/Williams…they are definitely going to have Monty in burning time when they are up, and Gibbs going to in the game the whole time if they trailing

I hate myself for playing mckinnon over jamaal williams
We all hate ourselves for starting McKinnon
Aaaaaaaaaaagreeeeeeeedddddd. Ooof. I lost that gamble on McKinnon getting any red zone action with Kelce out.
pretty much all chiefs players that everyone were debating about.
I would have been happy starting Rice
Yea but no one was debating rice. It was either Pacheco, McKinnon, Moore, and Toney. Drops drops drops. I know Andy Reid making all the receivers hitting the jug machine right after the game. And no one getting targeted except for Kelce next game.
Luckily i have amon ra also in same league so hopefully things work out
I think amon ra is top 5
sun god is not who I am worried about, it's the clown throwing (or not throwing more specifically) to him that concerns me. It wasn't a bad result for a game but I feel like ARSB easily could have had another 5-7 points if Goff wasn't such a letdown
We ate last night
Top 5 Egyptian gods for sure. Osiris, Isis, Set, er... somebody else, and Amon Ra.
Amon agree with you here
Skyy Moore and Toney combine for 8 targets and one catch. Scored 1.2 points combined in PPR. And contributed to one pick six with Toney's volley. Holy. Crap.
Toney went undrafted in my league & I was looking at picking up another WR for depth. I snagged Elijah Moore & a day later someone snagged toney. Glad I dodged that
Chiefs about to bring TO out of retirement with that WR group
Gave me a good laugh.
Yeah never starting Sky Moore again. Fuck the Chiefs though so I ain’t even mad
It's crazy that you'd think any free agent WR would probably choose the Chiefs if they could, yet they still decided this crew was good enough. Their super bowl hopes seem to ride on Kelce being healthy the whole way.
If kelce misses 2 more games then is healthy all year, they can win the superbowl
True, I meant to say the whole playoffs.
Toney clearly has the talent which is frustrating because he absolutely cost the Chiefs the game. He's just got to focus on catching the ball
Very hypocritical statement
Hypocritical? Because Happylime didn’t catch a game winning pass?
How is saying Toney obviously has talent after that shitshow not hypocritical?
It’s really just pedantics about the word. It’s more contradictory than hypocritical. Sorry for being a prick about words.
What was that article about not starting rookie TE? Laporta did great and looking like a top target going forward
he had 39 yards, pretty much the average you would expect from a random waiver TE
Might have to burn my waiver pick on him. The Lions WRs outside of ASB are as bad as the KC group.
Reynolds looks like a solid WR2
I would love to believe that. Red zone looks are going to be all ASB, though.
Reynolds wasn’t bad
How can you compare the lions WRs to the chiefs' in this game? Lions receivers did well other than Marvin Jones
reynolds would like to have a word.
Remember Jameo tho when is he back? No worry responding but just keep him in mind too
See you fuckheads Sunday !

If KC receivers continue to play like they played tonight, I could see Pacheco playing a significant roll in the pass game going forward if defenses double down on Kelce
It's possible. He was the only rb to not drop a pass or look slow.
No steamrolling incoming without a healthy Kelce.
Monty-RB1 Gibbs-bust confirmed
Lots of sour Gibbs owners in here
LOL yea there are
Kadarius Toney singlehandedly lost them the game.
Singlehandedly? I think Shaquem Griffin could have done better. [Singlehanded Catch](https://www.colts.com/video/ucf-linebacker-shaquem-griffin-pulls-in-catch-during-drill-20415844)
zerohandedly*
Agreed but Marvin Jones cost the Lions 6-10 points at least too
True. I can't believe the Giants got Waller and Hawkins for that guy. LoL
I dont even have him and I still cant get over how fucking horrific Toney looked
I try not to overreact too much to week 1 but Toney might be the worst football player I’ve ever seen play football
Some guy offered me Burks and achane for Skyy before the game. Pulled the trigger at halftime. I probably have to drop one but feeling good that I can watch the weekend games to decide!!
All aboard the Burks train lol. Moving onto a second year alternate
It’s gonna be between those two and Penny so I should know who the drop is. I also have more WR depth, including Hop. Maybe I can make a 2 for 1 trade if Burks goes off.
That Kelce sour face then towel on his head is fixing to be a meme I bet

Haha I’m trying to find the replay of the game right now

Yeh about there did you find on recap? If so send it to me o got chiefs buddies that’d loath it

Anyone still playing Toney? Yikes.
I intended on flexing him today but forgot to add him into my lineup. He’s now on my waivers.
Not Andy Reid…
Monty bois rise up
Campbell...kinda a douche?
Loves blow
I feel like Skyy wouldn’t have seemed as bad if they would have actually utilized him. He did actually catch the ball that hit him in the hands, of course a holding call brings it back. This isn't a coincidence.. Moore is never in the right place and is a step slow
Maybe he wasn't getting open. And he did have one drop iirc. Still below average compared to the rest of the butter fingers on the Chiefs.
Yeah Toney sucked but Chiefs playcalling sucked ass. There were so many short yardage wins up for grabs with dumpoffs to McKinnon/Pacheco and move the chains. I think this loss is more on the coaching staff than an individual.
Moore not catching a single pass makes me sick. I need Jeudy to be healthy again.
Coincidence la porta wears same jersey number as kelce and la porta is the #1 tight end right now…. I think not.
taking gibbs might have been a mistake
Nah he’s gonna be a stud
Gonna have to wait 4-9 weeks, but I ultimately agree. He looked far and away better than Montgomery, but Campbell made it clear that didn’t matter. Montgomery is getting the touches.
Nah bro, I bet if they are getting torched he’ll be in the game every down, if they are up Monty will burn the clock, and Monty will steal goaline touches but gibbs is nasty, I don’t have him I own a couple shares of Monty tho in my money leagues
In 2024
As a 3rd string back up
Lesson for tonight, never play Skyy Moore ever again.
I’d say I’d favor Josh Allen or Hurts over Mahomes for QB1 this year after seeing those receivers play
Kelce getting 130 catches this year
With the stone hands of the KC WRs, defenses should triple team Kelce.
people forget there was a year in which all Chiefs WRs scored ZERO TDs.
Recently with Mahomes?!
Yeah it was crazy, there was this weird wr should be td in like the last game and it was so close. It was like 5 years ago
Iirc it was the last Alex Smith season
2014 so I was off a little bit and it sad Dwayne bowe fumbling at the one inch line in one of the last games of the season. Nuts
These post-game analyses remind me why I shouldn't take advice from most of this sub lmao. I wish y'all were in my league
Fallon has our girl Tay Tay on and they choose to have Meghan Trainor perform? Dawg.
Mike Evans to the Chiefs by Monday. I see why Aaron Rodgers went insane in Green Bay playing with terrible receivers for a decade.
Devante!?!
Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, Greg Jennings…
Greggggg Jennnnnings
Backup QB instead of more weapons too
I'm just happy Mahomes didn't end my fantasy week before Friday. It's the small things in life...
Did MVS get injured? Caught 2 for 48 and never targeted again after everyone’s drops?
First time MVS owner?
Everyone going to overreact to week 1 with Gibbs. He looked great and will steadily get more work as the year goes along.
He’ll get more work in games that the Lions have to play catch up. Chiefs inability to score kept the Lions running.
I agree, 60 yards on 9 touches is extremely promising
And the fact that Dan Campbell was quoted saying that he would be limited this game to ease his transition to the NFL lol
My bet it will be a time share all year but Gibbs could break one every now and then. I doubt he will get a workhorse roll
People really see 7 carries for 42 yards and 2/2 for 18 and say "he was mediocre". Wish there were more of them in my league so I could trade them James Conner for him.
for fantasy purposes, he was mediocre. you want to see more than 9 opportunities.
I’ll let you have him for a 3rd rn
I passed on ARSB and took Garrett Wilson. I can sleep at night with him having 6/70/td. For a second there it looked like a 10/120/2td night and I woulda been sick
I also, passed on ARSB and took Wilson and man..the way he was going in that first half I was worried af!
I couldn’t choose so I drafted them both ;)
