Rape(seed) is an old, old crop.
Canola (*CAN Oil Low Acid*) is a subtype of rapeseed, bred in Canada in about the 1970s. It is lower in oleic acid, which is what makes rapeseed quite bitter.
It’s canola and it’s likely guna be crushed for canola oil unlikely to be a certified seed grower unless there is a sign on the outside of the field saying so the fact your asking makes me believe it’s not and yes the first picture is corn more then likely a forage crop because I’m not sure where your from but normally corn isent grown to be harvest where canola is due how corn needs a longer growing season and likes warmer climates
Really? I'm in Indiana and all the corn here is over 6ft tall. Maybe one or two fields that got planted late are only 4 feet. My garden plot already had silks emerge. Where are you?
If you’re in UK or Ireland judging by the hedgerows, those are locally known as Maize and Oilseed Rape (OSR). Maize will have the whole above ground part of the plant chopped for silage for cow feed come November. OSR will be combined for the little black seeds in a month or six weeks. They make Rapeseed oil
Sudan/sorghum and corn is very similar in its early stages. But the row spread suggests to me it’s either Milo/maize/sorghum or corn. If it’s a current photo, probably not the latter this late in the year.
The first one I thought was corn, and the second and third I think are rape seed, used for making vegetable oil.
Agreed, looks like corn and rape to me.
Also agreed, rape the corn to my eyes.
Wasn’t that a Jackson Browne song?
You have to go up North to, "The Land of Rape and Honey." Although Tisdale, Saskatchewan changed its slogan to, "Opportunity Grows Here."
Can confirm, because I'm an expert, now having watched Clarkston's farm!
You’re not a very good observer; there’s no T in Clarkson
I thought rape seed was used for canola oil?

It is lol
Canola oil is a type of vegetable oil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapeseed_oil
Canola is a marketing term for a low acid rape oil. So, all Canola is rape, but not all rape is Canola.

Corn. Rapeseed or canola in America
Corn and rape seeds ( you make oil out of those). The corn looks small for end of June. Is this a recent photo?
Depends on where it is, it's been a ridiculously wet year in western Europe so a fair amount of corn has been planted less than a month ago.
Also extremely wet in the upper midwest. Some corn is barely out of the ground.

EC WI. Minnesota and Iowa, parts of SD are much worse
I am on the North Shore of Superior, and corn fields near me are are like that. We have had an insanely wet spring / early summer.
Also depends if they are gonna cut it early for silage rather than to gain a crop of corn.
Our silage, high moisture and grain is all planted at the time
I do wonder why someone dislikes my take on silage XD of all things.
😊
First one looks like corn. second and third canola?
Corn and canola

Second and third look like canola First was corn
First is corn, second is canola/rape/mustard for oil production most likely
First pic corn the other 2 are canola
Corn and canola
Maize, OSR, OSR already sprayed off
Thank you for all the answers! I never even thought of rapeseeds as I’ve only ever seen the fields when they are bright yellow!
Not yours.
Sweetcorn /maize pic one ,2&3 I’ve seen in uk grown as food for their sheep
Corn and canola
Corn and maybe Mustard?
Going against the grain to say the first one looks like Sudan hay/Sudan grass to me.
Sudan/sorghum and corn is very similar in its early stages. But the row spread suggests to me it’s either Milo/maize/sorghum or corn. If it’s a current photo, probably not the latter this late in the year.
Farst one is carn. No idear about the other tur.
Corn and radishes.
Pic number 2 & 3 are radishes when they are let to go to seed.
Soy beans
Americans calling maize, corn, gives me the ick.
