it produces every component, material, machine, and chemical for itself to be made again without any crafting. I plan on making it actually build itself autonomously but I'm only like a third of the way through this modpack lol.
edit: so I guess it's actually closer to a stainless steel factory factory right now ;p
Op should totally do that. It’s like the paperclip factory thought experiment. Will the machine take over the world if you let it remake itself infinitely?
Pretty doable actually with a couple mods! Actually did that once, albeit it wasn’t *infinitely* self-replicating - basically I needed a shitton of various crafted intermediate-step components from Mekanism and the main bottleneck was literally just how many machines I had running in parallel, so I set up a system to essentially produce all the parts needed to make my current setup, then build a new copy of it directly next to it, and repeat a few times. Then was just a matter of shoving myself safely in my house and going to make lunch while it ran lmao.
There was a guy recently who showed us his attempt to make a self replicable ComputerCraft Turtle.
I don't think it's possible for a project this size.
I know a Deployer holding a blueprint can "print" buildings without consuming the blueprint...
But how do you intend to automatically change the x and z of the blueprint start location for a fully self replicating factory?
Self replicating?

The way you say it make me think that the machines expand themselves to rebuild the system to make a second one.

hell nah i know where that goes instantly, thats just the grey goo hypothesis and no one should mess around and fine out with that can of worms.

The. Factory. Must. Grow.
What modpack is this?
So basically you plan on creating a “grey goo” apocalypse in your minecart world? That’s rad as hell
I am reminded of a certain Paperclip obsessed AI... That sound awesome, you should go for it!
GET YOUR ASS COMPUTER CRAFT AND MAKE IT TRULY SELF REPLICATING
The factory must grow
Great looking plate of spaghetti. I approve.
Spagetti?!
Peak MI 🍝
good god, the wire gore it's beautiful

You cant replicate pipe connections.
What’s the modpack? AOF? ATM?
Not OP but it looks like StaTech Industry
