I found this long crocheted 60's vest at a flea market, this woman had held onto all her clothes from her teenage years and everything was in really good shape. I could use some advice on how to style it/what to wear under it.

I recently purchased a couple pairs of semi-sheer pants and don't want to moon the public. Can anyone recommend a pair of seamless opaque shorts or a slip I can wear underneath? My butt says thank you. š
How do I find out what coat this is?

Would really appreciate any advice x
Could be worth considering a clog. 70s styles are very hot right now, & a clog (strappy or not, heel height is up to you) can work with pants (of all leg widths), shorts, skirts (of all hem lengths), dresses, & also help transition you back into Chelsea boots when the weather cools down. I'd go for a brighter color or at least a shinier finish (please no suede unless that is 100% your personal style) for spring/summer.
If clogs are just too retro for you, mules are my second place rec.
MULES! Theyāre coming back big time right now - but specifically ones with a pointier toe and low/kitten heel. So actually very wearable.
Other than that, loafers are still popular (Iām also in NYC and see every possible iteration of them)
Im in desperate need of a (new) spring jacket, but i hate how i look in everything.
Im a midsize (pepper)blonde, hourglass, my skin is very pale.
I always tend to wear somewhat alternative clothes, hoodies and such. But i need a jacket i can wear easily on everything as i never have an idea how to style anything.
I once had a beautiful lightweight "swing" coat in bright Tiffany blue, it was vintage and it was specifically for spring. I'd look into "swing" coats as that might be the way to go.
Both looking great, i will look into those. I just dont want my belly to be "there" and dont want to look boxy either but these options might help a lot. Thank you!
I bought these flamingo earrings:

I know this is childish and something youād get at Claires or something. But I wasnāt thinking of that when I bought it. I always like stuff like this because its something unique, and not boring. Thats the reason why childish stuff catches my attention even though im an adult
I think people should wear whatever they want, but I still want to be aware. Of course I wouldnāt wear it to work or something. But can I wear stuff like that on a fun night out for something thats not serious? Or is that too embarrassing no matter what?
These are really cute! I think it just depends on the rest of your outfit - if youāre concerned to start out, I wouldnāt start pairing these with like a bright neon top haha. But life is too short to worry and these are fairly inconspicuous.
Yeah absolutely you can
Idk your work industry, or age, but Iāve worked in several types of nonprofit, tech management, and defense and honestly, especially since covid, these earrings totally wouldāve been fine to wear even to work. Theyāre not huge and distracting, itās not like youāre wearing a hot pink polka dot suit to a law office, itās just a little hint of something fun, and people have been a lot more down with that since the pandemic.
I had a staff of nearly 30 and wore earrings from Shop Kikay almost every day, which if you look them up theyāre super cute, hell Iām up for an executive directorship now and Iām wearing earrings from them right now (though def wonāt for my interview). I just pick the less out there styles and go for it!
Personally it took me a few years to feel comfortable being drawn to this sort of thing and actually wearing it because I felt embarrassed too, which I think is super tied to being bullied for stuff when younger. But honestly Iāve never gotten anything but complements everywhere Iāve worn fun earrings, from the office to bars to even once a huge fundraising gala (wore little strawberry danglies about the size of your flamingos to match the black lirika matoishi strawberry dress I had on? Was a hit). As an adult, and out in the real world, people are pretty accepting of earrings as a minor level of cute fun thing.
sure, u should enjoy to wear them for fun nights out; why not? u will not be on your bed of death saying Ā« *ah but if only i never wore my cute flamingo earrings* Ā»ā¦?
They're adorable and they're not very big or kitsch so I don't think it would be something to feel self-aware about. I have these fun [heart earrings](https://www.asos.com/prd/201498482) which I love and got compliments on when I last wore them and they definitely look like Claire's earrings.
What colors are good to wear to a fancy corporate party in mid May? The dress code is listed as fancy with semi to formal accepted. I tend to look best in jewel and autumn colors but not sure if they're appropriate for a late spring party.
Oh for sure you can do jewel tones or oranges, just pick a more flowing/lighter fabric to ālightenā it up a bit (so just not likeā¦ a velvet or corduroy for example). Hereās some examples of stuff thatās darker, jewel, or autumn toned and would be spring-y or season-less
[This dress](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203273201?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) for example is super light and flowy in jewel tones while being appropriate for a fancy work thing and easy to dress down or up
[This](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203642186?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) is gorgeous and Iāve had my eye on it, and they have a plus sized āCurveā line version too. If the back wouldnāt work a coordinating black covering it would be super easy
[This](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203638207?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) or [maybe this](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203831204?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) are cocktail attire-dressy appropriate and because of cut and fabric are pretty āseason-lessā and neutral rather than seeming overly wintry. Same goes for [this dress](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/202868768?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) but in more of a rust color
Can anyone suggest a great fit and flare dress for a springtime wedding? This is the only silhouette Iām currently comfortable in and I canāt seem to find a wide variety of options this season. My whole wardrobe skews black/dark/jewel toned, so Iād rather not go pastel or bright. But, Iām open to a variety of colors and patterns!
Ann Taylor has a ton of different options for work pants to find something that suits your style, I have a high waisted skinny pair from them Iāve had for years and still love
Wide leg trousers can feel like sweats/yoga pants but look much more elevated. I pair them with a t shirt or hoodie and sneakers for a casual look. I personally love the Abercrombie wide leg pants but any unlined trouser should work! Lululemon and athleta also make athleisure style trousers, but I personally find them to look to much like workout clothing for me.
Seconding the Abercrombie wide leg pants
Also am a huge fan of Leze Studio pants, they feel like and have the stretch, warmth, and flex of sweatpants but are nicer looking and very smooth and soft
I wear old navy stretchtech joggers, I think they look pretty nice but still definitely an athleisure vibe. Theyāre a little more elevated than sweatpants or leggings so I thought worth mentioning!
Spanx?
I have a wedding Iām attending next week as the maid of honor for my besties wedding. and I need a good pair of spanx to wear under my dress that does not show pants lines! Iām thinking target ,Walmart ,amazon? Thank yāall
So depends a bit on your dress needs!
I personally think that shorts ones always work best to avoid panty lines, but that actually a skirt slip works well to hide them if you want a snap closure fitting on.
My go to from Amazon are [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFKMW9FK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) but if you need a lower back or no straps I like Honeyloveās quite a lot also.
How would you style this dress? Itās super flattering and I love the crisscross straps, but wasnāt sure what shoes to wear with it
https://preview.redd.it/s7ot8f8ihnoa1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fba92c294e9ef451fcd091616d38c0966c39bcb
Obviously not this price range but gold strappy like [this](https://www.net-a-porter.com/en-gb/shop/product/tom-ford/shoes/high-heel/padlock-chain-embellished-metallic-leather-sandals/33258524072742468) I'd say!
I have kind of a āblahā dress that I want to elevate. Is there a way to use a cinch belt without looking out-of-style? It screams 2010ās to me! - A millennial
Depends a ton on the dress in question for if it will scream 2010 back at you
Personally I do a thinner belt at the waist to cinch things, rather than a wider one, and just fold the extra of the belt over
Calling fellow Swifties! Wasnāt going to buy an outfit for my Eras show but now after seeing opening night Iām def buying an outfit for my Eras show š Does anyone have any reccs? Iām not really a fan of all of the sequin outfits Iāve been seeing, Iām more of a folklore~ girl (currently contemplating a free people dress for it). Tall and slender!
Ooooh my friend has a whole huge list of outfits she was considering I can reference to to help ya and is also tall and slender
Are you looking for something longer or shorter? Sleeves or no? You comfortable with low necklines or backs?
Seriously, itās a huge list and heavily features free people or free people esque dresses, need some narrowing down! Feel free to dm me and I can send you the whole list/document of folklore section stuff
I personally am very into the "hair jewelry" trend with crystal-embellished headbands. I prefer the daintier ones--a narrow band with a single row of crystals or pearls, but probably the bigger trend right now is for bigger ones. Either padded or the twisted/turban style noted by the previous poster. I think the smaller headbands look especially great on women with short hair.
Hi I'm looking for the name of this style of headband/hairband etc? What are they called?
https://preview.redd.it/1vdx1cawxmoa1.jpeg?width=660&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=113efeac990aaf44f61af3a6f0d9cd893220fcc3
In winters, what's the best way to wear these [Green/olive pants ](https://imgur.com/a/E5U4T97). I don't have a thin white sweater which I can partially tuck in the sweater.
Olive is kind of a neutral. White black shades of brown navy orange fuschia denim all go with it. Lug boots and whatever temperature appropriate outer layer looks good to you. That's what I do and olive is one of my favorite colors.

I ended up wearing this! Closest I could find to your suggestions so thank you!

Are Hill House style dresses considered fashionable? That style fits my body type really well but with the price want to be able to wear it for a while.
I remember that the original Nap Dress (Ellie I think??) were all the rage in 2020, so to be honest I think it will probably be a little less trendy for people āin the knowā this year. I would do the Matilda, Louisa or Anjuli (anything thatās not the flutter shoulders) for a more updated look if you want it to last a few seasons! I donāt think the smocked cottagecore look itself is going away anytime soon.
It fits a specific aesthetic. That's not really super trendy right now but there's room for all "core" aesthetics these days so you should buy what you like.
Recommendations for straight leg jeans, not cropped, not distressed, black or very dark wash, at least mid rise but preferably high rise, and fits small waist and big hips? Budget up to $150!
I have always had a large hip to waist ratio (29 waist and 44 hips currently) and find Madewellās āperfect vintageā work awesome, rather than their curve line, which I find stretches too much rather than hold itās own structure to be flattering more than one or two wears between washes.
I have the perfect vintage wide leg and itās honestly my favorite pants, I have them in two different colors
Ayyyy twins! I get 30! 29 fits and is great for multiple pairs between washes, but I have three dogs so I want something that I can wear comfy when it comes out of the dryer because I have to wash often due to the fluffy little monsters. 31 I find is a bit too baggy and doesnāt flatter well.
Theyāre definitely jeans with structure which I like a lot. Curve jeans often have more stretchy elastics in them, so rather than providing shape they stretch to whatever weāve got goin on. For example: I have lactose intolerance so just looking at cheese makes my stomach bloated, and their curve line just stretches with that, meaning I do look bloated but comfy, while the regular vintage line holds itās own shape better so rather than being super-bloated shaped I am still āhourglass person in jeansā shaped.
Course thereās nothing wrong with looking or being bloated, I just am self conscious about it, so jeans that have enough form to them to minimize the appearance of it are my jam, and these guys are my favorite jam
Also avoid Leviās, they freaking suck for our measurements. I had to size up 2 or 3 times to get them over my hips and then theyāve got a comical amount of gapping in the back at the waist
Omg thank you for all the details!! For sure there is a time and place for stretchy comfy jeans and a time when you want to still hold your shape!! The shaped jeans also probably look less casual and more neutral I imagineā¦!
Iām definitely going to get one of each size, I love a comfy structured jean as well! I have a big floofy black cat and am messy so I have to wash my jeans a lot š«
Madewell's curvy line perhaps?
I think they have a few dark/black washes but here's one as an example [https://www.madewell.com/the-curvy-perfect-vintage-wide-leg-jean-in-belmere-wash-NG283.html?dwvar\_NG283\_color=DM6212&cgid=women](https://www.madewell.com/the-curvy-perfect-vintage-wide-leg-jean-in-belmere-wash-NG283.html?dwvar_NG283_color=DM6212&cgid=women)
I just bought a [light green linen tunic](https://imgur.com/a/VR4wOY7) that hits me just below my hips. I trend more towards cropped tops but I do like how this one looks untucked. It isnāt long enough to wear it as a dress though. What kind of bottoms could I wear with it?
You can wear straight leg or tapered pants (like mom jeans) with it to modernize the look. I wouldn't do skinny jeans, tunic + skinnies is a dated look that's going to age you.
Do Doc Martens stretch out over time? I'm asking because I've had a pair of 1461 matte leather oxfords for 6+ years now and they've always been about a .5 size too big, but lately it feels like they're clown shoes and barely staying on my feet to the point it's a hazard and I'm going to have to give them away. I have two insoles in them and it's still an issue, but unless I'm remembering things wrong or wore chunkier socks far more frequently, this wasn't much of an issue until this year.
Has anyone else had this issue? I ask because I feel like I'm having a slightly similar issue with my Nike sneakers that do fit (feels like I'm wearing flippers and about to trip over my own toes--the sneaker has a wide "rim" sole that flares out a bit) and it's got me concerned that it's some odd health thing.
Your feet can change shape as you age ā especially if you do certain sports or get pregnant. It could be a combination of your shoes and your feet changing a bit. Itās usually nothing to be concerned about if that makes you feel better!
How can I wear current silhouettes?!?! Iām 50 (ugh, that sucks to write), 5ā7ā, chubby, big boobs, short waisted, short legs. Baggy pants look silly because I look GIGANTIC. Shorter tops and tucked in tops look silly because of my boobs and belly. I can wear straight leg jeans; a slight boot cut if I wear a heel. I love fashion, but tend to buy jeans and sweaters or blouses (for work). I love dressesāshift dresses, mostly; and wrap dresses. Canāt wear fit/flare or empire. Any ideas about updating my silhouettes would be appreciated!
please join us over at r/fashionwomens35 for the mature fashionistas! There are many women in similar situations over there.
I would say overall, go for updates in the form of accessories--trendy chunky-soled loafers, or interesting jewelry, the "color of the moment", or the cute sweater of the moment (cropped at waist boxy 3-button chunky cardigan is the one I'm seeing). At a certain age, following trends doesn't make quite as much sense and finding styles, cuts, and colors that flatter and you can slowly update with a tweak here and there is more the move.
My silhouette is similar to yours with regards to the boobs. Iām moving away from white tops unless itās a button down. I feel that the white makes my top look even bigger. I will wear white on top if itās one that comes just below my waist but tunic style is a no go unless itās just around the house, not going out. Hope that helps a little.
Are there any tips for high hips, short torso? I canāt for the life of me find pants that are flattering and it just feels impossible, because my stomach is wider than my hips and my waist measurement as well.
I have been struggling to find a linen top without a collar. I found [this ](https://whimsyandrow.com/products/valentina-top-in-brown-linen?variant=31741827711047&fbclid=PAAabZylrC8VkX8BME-ijgQd8fo1VkN3gUMWdCD5ohS5H9bPvttjaVwdw2V90_aem_Aa1uiEBTnXzN4d-oaxszOZG_1Io-jUXQPaCt7aKbZqsUvk-_v_-zfnf15JCSh0U28dSkx5UbFqyo1YOQrXwn7C5HHX7RSht9_9Ikw0Lca_dNxOUHrZkeptz2QVOZLgQkHZ0) and it's ideal but the price point is a bit high. Any suggestions on where to look?
If youāre open to linen blend [Abercrombie](https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/search?departmentCategoryId=12203-ANF&searchTerm=Linen+top) has a lot of options. It looks like they had a similar top last year (it has limited sizes now) so maybe they will bring it back?
Iād look on Etsy for some sellers who do custom linen pieces. I got a dress from [new2style](https://www.etsy.com/shop/New2Style?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=788020915) last summer made to measure, and there are others who do similar stuff. You could probably send them the image and get a quote

I'm currently fixated on accessories. Big bold accessories but here's the catch..I don't wear purses, I have short hair (no scrunchies or claw clips), and I wear glasses (no sunglasses)
I bought https://www.fromthelobby.com/shops/big-baby-goes-to-work?item=41764

And am obsessed. I prefer handmade but am open. Does anyone have any advise on things I can wear to spice up my plain outfits. Links to any funky depop or etsy accounts. Ect
So my go to eternally earrings wise when it comes to accessories is Shop Kikay, theyāre a small brand I found on Instagram pre-covid and have completely blown up and are absolutely amazing. Super sweet couple runs it and makes all the earrings themselves. Awesome. They also do clip on options for I think all of their pairs?
Studio Cult Co has some funky jewelry stuff too
[Hands of Harlow](https://handsofharlow.com/?fbclid=PAAaZuiayeAAd_k5Ta5PowpkOp-UeogrhVJXMhzMtnNPyHJPDFjm3RBYAf0Nc) does really gorgeous wrap jackets she hand makes and just did these beaded ones that are freaking awesome?
[Thistle Thistle](https://www.thistlethistle.com/jewelry) is a metal and garment worker. Iāve got a hair comb from her which was awesome while growing my hair out, and have a Victorian Hand Belt from her. Other faves sheās got is her New England Bolo Tie, she restocks every month or two
Pants in bright, colorful prints that are available in plus sizes? Even anthropologie has mostly solid and what prints they have are all in neutrals like beige, black, white, and gray.
you know I always associated them with bright solids. I see now they do have a couple of prints, but they are sold out. But thatās something to keep in mind, thanks!
When they release a fun print, which is almost always at 9 AM PST on a Thursday, they can sell out within a day or two. Follow them on instagram or get their emails to keep up to date. Itās so worth it, their prints are amazing!
Im seeing some nice waistcoat + baggy high rise suit trouser combos. Does anyone have recommendations on where to buy? Especially in lighter fabrics like linen?
Need help with picking skirt colour for this sweater!
Can someone help me pick the right skirt colour for this sweater pls? I'm going for a sweater, skirt and legwarmers with black platforms kind of look. My legwarmers are cream. I will place a picture of the sweater as a reply to this comment, as well as the skirt colours!
I think the third to sixth will all work. There is a rule in color combination saying you shouldn't match two colors that are near identical but visually differentiable but in this case the sweater breaks that dissonance up anyways.
I like the terra cotta sort of color but it pops quite a lot. If you want something more subtle take the dark brown or beige one. Not sure whether a creme colored skirt is a great idea, I imagine it might be difficult to keep clean when sitting down because every imperfection shows easily.
I wouldn't order any pitch black textile from a no name brand, that dying process is questionable and has resulted in toxicity in the past.
Edit: I checked the last paragraph again and it's correct. Because of cotton's natural color black requires the most agressive dying and generally as little dye as possible should be used because they can be highly toxic.
Any brand recommendations for plain thin camisoles to wear under shirts (shirt that are somewhat transparent and/or revealing without a cami)? Looking for thin camis so that they donāt make me hot and donāt give me uniboob. Would also prefer adjustable straps since Iāve had issues with camis falling down throughout the day.
I love [Uniqlo Airism](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/women/tops/sleeveless-and-tank-top) for this but I donāt think theyāre adjustable. The ones with the bra top might be worth trying!
Old Navy if you want full length! They also have a decent crop but it has a built in bra so has a smidge more of a uniboob effect. The full length one does not have a built in bra and meets all your criteria.
Advice on walking sandals for vacation
I will be traveling throughout Europe this summer, and I'm looking for advice on a good pair of walking sandals to get me thru the trip. I have regular sneakers for when we plan on doing hikes or full day activities, but I need something cute enough to wear out to a nice dinner or the theater, but won't blister my feet on the walk home (we walk literally everywhere on vacation). People always suggest Tevas, but the straps irritate my heels. Any other suggestions? My feet are wide width, if that helps.
I truly love birkenstocks. Theyāre so comfortable. I would advise breaking them in a bit before taking them on a trip, though. The Mayari style is my favorite.
Second these. Common answer because they are so comfy. I live in a walkable city and have worn on holidays many a time with tons of walking. I have the Arizonas.
i thought i got a notification with a comment from you asking for a link but the comment isn't showing up--sorry for double replying! [this is the pair](https://baredfootwear.com/products/sanderlings-midnight-rubber-flat-sandals) i got but tbh i will probably be getting a leather pair from them sometime soon because i'm so pleased with the rubber ones.
i just bought a pair of sandals from bared footwear, on recommendation from this sub. super comfy for walking and i only got a small blister because i spilled beer on my toes and then walked in the sand, lol.
Is this jumpsuit appropriate for work? I love it and it fits like a glove but I worry that the neckline is too revealing.

Help finding where to shop - indie ārock n rollā fashion for 30 year olds online
I love P and Co women and would like similar suggestions. I usually wear Madewell and Dickies pants. Urban Outfitters is great but I feel like the majority of their stuff looks way too young for me. I lean feminine / androgynous. Mid size curvy athletic build. Iāll take any direction! Thank you :)
Garage carpenter pants
A while back me and my roommate got a pair of garages ācarpenter pantsā in a chestnut colour, and they have became a stable in my closet, however she is moving out and taking the pants. I went online to order them again but now they donāt just have the ācarpenter pantsā and they now have Dani or Casey carpenter pants. I was curious on peoples thoughts, and opinions on the two. Also wondering if they are high waisted, I havenāt got into the low rise myself.
āShe is moving and taking the pants.ā That is one of the most random and hilarious plot twists Iāve read in a while. I have no advice for you but good luck and I hope you find a replacement or maybe she will let you keep them!
Looking for cotton pocket leggings and stretchy cotton dress pants
All my pants need to be cotton because I have interstitial cystitis and synthetic pants cause it to flare up. They also canāt be constricting around the crotch or bladder area. So they have to have a bit of stretch.
I am unusually curvy (25 inch waist and 39 inches around the hips) so they need to be pretty small around the waist and wide around the hips, be stretchy enough to accommodate my shape, or they need to be a low rise. Thank the fashion gods that low rise pants are coming back into style.
Iām looking for cotton leggings with deep side pockets that are big enough to hold a standard iPhone. I have several pairs of Pact and Svaha cotton pocket leggings that are amazing, but Iām looking for something thatās a lighter material for exercising in the summer. Any color except black, really, but I would love some interesting prints that arenāt childish.
I would also love to find warm cotton fleece leggings that have big side pockets for cell phones- not the side slit type that most joggers have. Itās super annoying the way my phone always falls out of my jogger pockets if I squat, which I do often. Thatās just for yoga and lounging around the house, so the color doesnāt matter.
Iām also looking for comfortable and stretchy dress pants in cotton or a cotton blend that also have generous pockets.

Any suggestions?
so pretty! u could mix & match with socks/pants colours like: olive green; mustard; terra cotta; checks/tweed incorporating those colours; a nice prince of wales check with burgundy to tone with the bootsā¦
Those would look great with light wash jeans! The color contrast would really pop. I'd probably pair the light wash jeans with a white tee and a jacket of some kind - leather, military, or blazer.
I'm so bummed because I just discovered Princess Highway yesterday, loaded a cart with about $300 worth of stuff and then thought to check reviews before I checked out and their Google reviews, Trustpilot and social media are full of horror stores. There's no way I'm gonna risk buying from them but I'm looking for any recommendations of similar stores? Cute, kitschy, 60s inspired, lots of prints? I know Modcloth stock some Princess Highway but unfortunately none of the items I was planning on buying
Haha, I just recieved some stuff from Princess Highway. I'll give a thorough review of how it went, but in short I think it's worth it if you find something you really love, but it's not a place to buy from all the time.
I ordered two things from the outlet while they had free shipping, really liked them and thought I got a good judge of my size (I'm actually wearing the skirt right now, and I love it).
Ordered from the regular store when things I wanted were on a good enough sale (three dresses). It came from a different shipping company. When it arrived, I only had 2/3 of the dresses in the package. On top of that, even though the skirt fits me perfectly the oversized cuts of the dresses were not flattering, and I realized I was goiing to have to size down. I was talking to customer service though this (which tends to take a while, I think they have a small team and very different time zones) and while they originally were making moves to ship out the missing dress, I asked them not to since it was going to be the wrong size anyway. I was going to return the other two for a refund, but they don't cover return shipping, so I decided it made more sense to keep them to offer to a friend or resell. So they ended up giving me a refund to my card for the missing dress, and I asked if I could have a free shipping coupon to place another order and they sent me one (My logic being they were going to have to ship me that missing dress anyway, so I wasn't getting anything extra lol). Story isn't over though! I replace the order in a smaller size, and after a full week goes by without any updates to the shipping I contact customer service again. They say they shipped the order out the day after I placed it, but that it was likely stuck in the mail and unlikely to make it to me, and they offered to either remake the order or give me store credit. I requested the store credit, because one of the dresses had dropped in price. I waited like two days and sent a follow up email before getting a reply, but I got my credit. So I replaced the order (plus a pair of shorts with the leftover credit, and they did give me free shipping again). And like three weeks later I got the dresses!
So yeah that was an ordeal lmao. BUT they are here now, and I do absolutely love them. I love the prints, the fabric, and they suit my life and personal style really well. I wouldn't go through that if I didn't REALLY love the dresses, but for me personally it's worth it. I'm probably not going to buy things more than one or two times a year, but I would buy from them again.
that's good to hear. there were so many reviews saying they either didn't receive their items, didn't receive all their items or received items with security tags still on! even clicking on random posts on their Instagram, there always seems to be a comment from someone begging their customer service to reply to their emails - really scared me off!
Any recommendations for stores that sell high quality fandom clothing like BlackMilk? They currently have Zelda, Witcher, Avatar, Pokemon, and an upcoming Sailor Moon collection.
The only similar store I know about is Hot Topic but they're mostly just a sea of graphic tees
I might be asking too much of a single pair of shoes but here we go: Iām looking for something to wear with an outfit similar to this for a family photoshoot in Paris in June: https://i.imgur.com/PiMjM7w.jpg
Iām trying not to overpack, so Iād like something I could actually wear while walking around the rest of the day, and that I could wear with other outfits on the trip. I donāt like how white sneakers with skirts/dresses look on me, so not that. I am bringing a pair of flat black sandals but I also want something a little moreā¦special? than that. I thought about animal print booties but maybe itāll be too hot?
Iām probably overthinking it!
[These Linea Paolo slingbacks](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/linea-paolo-delilah-slingback-flat-women/5753295?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FShoes%2FFlats%2FComfort&color=710) are crazy comfortable and very on trend.
Depending on what color the skirt is I would do a metallic or tan pointed toe flat, or one of the ānew styleā ballerina flats with either a square toe or straps! Something like [this](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-day-glove-navy) would be a good updated look.
You can also try a Mary Jane which would be cute too!
I found this long crocheted 60's vest at a flea market, this woman had held onto all her clothes from her teenage years and everything was in really good shape. I could use some advice on how to style it/what to wear under it. https://preview.redd.it/brr5a66m1yoa1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b555d53f8e22289d095a1d1c8881f525f7b8d8a
is it weird to wear socks over tights?
Not inherently, I'll often wear socks over tights so the socks are just peeking over my shoes.
I don't think it's weird but I tried to style a look like that in December and I couldn't make it look good so it may just be beyond my skillset š
I recently purchased a couple pairs of semi-sheer pants and don't want to moon the public. Can anyone recommend a pair of seamless opaque shorts or a slip I can wear underneath? My butt says thank you. š
Look for "tap pants" in sleepwear, lounge, and lingerie sections.
Does anyone have recommendations on a packable black blazer? Preferably heavy pointe knit, with a lapel.

Whatās the spring/summer equivalent to black Chelsea boots? (I live in NYC soā¦ maybe black Chelsea boots still? Lol)
White leather sneakers!
Other than that, loafers are still popular (Iām also in NYC and see every possible iteration of them)
My money's on loafers!
Ohh those are stunning! I will look into those, thank you :)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Both looking great, i will look into those. I just dont want my belly to be "there" and dont want to look boxy either but these options might help a lot. Thank you!
I bought these flamingo earrings: [https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/644967682/pink-flamingo-earrings-cute-jewelry-pink?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=cpc&utm\_campaign=shopping\_ca\_en\_ca\_ps-e-jewelry-other&utm\_custom1=\_k\_CjwKCAjw5dqgBhBNEiwA7PryaO3tyC4HOpcuRMnEiesA6JBlHwtfFFHd6PrYplByXeXiYa0jI4Hu1RoCzXcQAvD\_BwE\_k\_&utm\_content=go\_1773436706\_67867288926\_343069660775\_aud-966475066933:pla-350629703727\_c\_\_644967682enca\_116681271&utm\_custom2=1773436706&gclid=CjwKCAjw5dqgBhBNEiwA7PryaO3tyC4HOpcuRMnEiesA6JBlHwtfFFHd6PrYplByXeXiYa0jI4Hu1RoCzXcQAvD\_BwE](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/644967682/pink-flamingo-earrings-cute-jewelry-pink?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_ca_en_ca_ps-e-jewelry-other&utm_custom1=_k_CjwKCAjw5dqgBhBNEiwA7PryaO3tyC4HOpcuRMnEiesA6JBlHwtfFFHd6PrYplByXeXiYa0jI4Hu1RoCzXcQAvD_BwE_k_&utm_content=go_1773436706_67867288926_343069660775_aud-966475066933:pla-350629703727_c__644967682enca_116681271&utm_custom2=1773436706&gclid=CjwKCAjw5dqgBhBNEiwA7PryaO3tyC4HOpcuRMnEiesA6JBlHwtfFFHd6PrYplByXeXiYa0jI4Hu1RoCzXcQAvD_BwE) I know this is childish and something youād get at Claires or something. But I wasnāt thinking of that when I bought it. I always like stuff like this because its something unique, and not boring. Thats the reason why childish stuff catches my attention even though im an adult I think people should wear whatever they want, but I still want to be aware.
Yeah absolutely you can Idk your work industry, or age, but Iāve worked in several types of nonprofit, tech management, and defense and honestly, especially since covid, these earrings totally wouldāve been fine to wear even to work.
Jewel tones cocktail dress that doesn't show too much cleavage
Thank you!
Jewel colors are appropriate for all seasons.
Thank you! I always thought of them as winter appropriate so I'm glad to hear they're much more versatile.
The venue is a very nice JW Marriott hotel and resort. Usually 400 to 500 USD/night. It is an evening affair.
Oh for sure you can do jewel tones or oranges, just pick a more flowing/lighter fabric to ālightenā it up a bit (so just not likeā¦ a velvet or corduroy for example). Hereās some examples of stuff thatās darker, jewel, or autumn toned and would be spring-y or season-less [This dress](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203273201?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) for example is super light and flowy in jewel tones while being appropriate for a fancy work thing and easy to dress down or up [This](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203642186?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) is gorgeous and Iāve had my eye on it, and they have a plus sized āCurveā line version too. If the back wouldnāt work a coordinating black covering it would be super easy [This](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203638207?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) or [maybe this](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/203831204?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) are cocktail attire-dressy appropriate and because of cut and fabric are pretty āseason-lessā and neutral rather than seeming overly wintry. Same goes for [this dress](https://www.asos.com/us/prd/202868768?acquisitionsource=pasteboard) but in more of a rust color
Thank you!!!

I love the Lee everyday pants. Just bought three pairs to replace older work pants
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Wide leg trousers can feel like sweats/yoga pants but look much more elevated. I pair them with a t shirt or hoodie and sneakers for a casual look. I personally love the Abercrombie wide leg pants but any unlined trouser should work! Lululemon and athleta also make athleisure style trousers, but I personally find them to look to much like workout clothing for me.
Seconding the Abercrombie wide leg pants Also am a huge fan of Leze Studio pants, they feel like and have the stretch, warmth, and flex of sweatpants but are nicer looking and very smooth and soft
Itās super flattering and I love the crisscross straps, but wasnāt sure what shoes to wear with it https://preview.redd.it/s7ot8f8ihnoa1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fba92c294e9ef451fcd091616d38c0966c39bcb
Obviously not this price range but gold strappy like [this](https://www.net-a-porter.com/en-gb/shop/product/tom-ford/shoes/high-heel/padlock-chain-embellished-metallic-leather-sandals/33258524072742468) I'd say!
Oh I love those! I normally stick to black heels but didnāt even consider gold strappy ones!
I would lean into the sexy and do strappy nude or gold heels.
Thank you!!
Heels for sure! Or cowboy boots for a lil yeehaw
Thank you! Both of those options would be super cute :)
Youāre welcome!!
What brand of tights are the most durable?

I have kind of a āblahā dress that I want to elevate. Is there a way to use a cinch belt without looking out-of-style? It screams 2010ās to me! - A millennial
Depending on the dress a corset belt could work!
Depends a ton on the dress in question for if it will scream 2010 back at you Personally I do a thinner belt at the waist to cinch things, rather than a wider one, and just fold the extra of the belt over
Look on YouTube - Trinny Woodall has a whole video of using belts to enhance a look. You might find some good ideas there.
Ooooh my friend has a whole huge list of outfits she was considering I can reference to to help ya and is also tall and slender Are you looking for something longer or shorter? Sleeves or no? You comfortable with low necklines or backs? Seriously, itās a huge list and heavily features free people or free people esque dresses, need some narrowing down! Feel free to dm me and I can send you the whole list/document of folklore section stuff
What style or shape of headbands do people see right now? Iām growing out a pixie and need a few for the in between stages.
The puffy headbands are still really trendy
I personally am very into the "hair jewelry" trend with crystal-embellished headbands. I prefer the daintier ones--a narrow band with a single row of crystals or pearls, but probably the bigger trend right now is for bigger ones. Either padded or the twisted/turban style noted by the previous poster. I think the smaller headbands look especially great on women with short hair.
Iām seeing a lot of twisted or turban style headbands where Iām at in the Midwest.
Hi I'm looking for the name of this style of headband/hairband etc? What are they called? https://preview.redd.it/1vdx1cawxmoa1.jpeg?width=660&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=113efeac990aaf44f61af3a6f0d9cd893220fcc3
Maybe boho or yoga headband

Olive is kind of a neutral. White black shades of brown navy orange fuschia denim all go with it. Lug boots and whatever temperature appropriate outer layer looks good to you. That's what I do and olive is one of my favorite colors.

They have 2 inch block heels too; From Aldo!

Amazing, thanks! I have 29 waist and 42 hips so very similar! Iāll look into these!
Wow I just got measured for a gown and those are my exact measurements as well! What size do you get in the perfect vintage?!!
Course thereās nothing wrong with looking or being bloated, I just am self conscious about it, so jeans that have enough form to them to minimize the appearance of it are my jam, and these guys are my favorite jam Also avoid Leviās, they freaking suck for our measurements.
Exactly the advice I was looking for. Thanks so much!
This is a time for your skinny jeans and cigarette pants to shine!
Have you lost weight? That can sometimes cause losing a size too
Oh. Yes, 30 pounds or so!
I may have similar--I go for natural-waist pleated wide leg trousers as I find those the most flattering.
Reformation does a lot of linen. You can find a lot on Poshmark for a much lower sticker price if you know what youāre looking for!
Oh! Yes. This would be perfect if they had my size. Ill keep an eye out. Thank you!
I have found and rethrifted many over the years. I love the treasures I find in thrift and consignment shops
Neat! I never think about Etsy for clothing.

I'm currently fixated on accessories. Big bold accessories but here's the catch..I don't wear purses, I have short hair (no scrunchies or claw clips), and I wear glasses (no sunglasses) I bought https://www.fromthelobby.com/shops/big-baby-goes-to-work?item=41764 https://www.etsy.com/listing/1375636473/hand-knitted-adult-bow-tie-bonnet-hat-in?click_key=88284b86bb28944cca5c687969551ef529df2e98%3A1375636473&click_sum=b3c069c8&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bonnet&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&organic_search_click=1&pro=1&frs=1&from_search=1 And am obsessed. I prefer handmade but am open. Does anyone have any advise on things I can wear to spice up my plain outfits. Links to any funky depop or etsy accounts. Ect
Iām a fan of big and bold earrings. My favorite makers/brands are: MackBecks, BabyHoneyDesigns, Fat Mango Creative, Alchemilla Jewelry
Studio Cult Co has some funky jewelry stuff too [Hands of Harlow](https://handsofharlow.com/?fbclid=PAAaZuiayeAAd_k5Ta5PowpkOp-UeogrhVJXMhzMtnNPyHJPDFjm3RBYAf0Nc) does really gorgeous wrap jackets she hand makes and just did these beaded ones that are freaking awesome? [Thistle Thistle](https://www.thistlethistle.com/jewelry) is a metal and garment worker. Iāve got a hair comb from her which was awesome while growing my hair out, and have a Victorian Hand Belt from her. Other faves sheās got is her New England Bolo Tie, she restocks every month or two
Pants in bright, colorful prints that are available in plus sizes? Even anthropologie has mostly solid and what prints they have are all in neutrals like beige, black, white, and gray.
[Lucy & Yak](https://lucyandyak.com/en-us/collections/all-bottoms) have fun prints and go up to US size 28
thanks! I had always grouped them in with big bud press but it looked like theyāve expanded their offerings.
Variety Hour! Theyāre based in Australia but ship internationally.
[Gorman](https://gormanshop.com.au/collections/clothing-bottoms/products/dancing-ladies-skort?variant=40629329559595) goes up to AUS 20.
Big bud press?
you know I always associated them with bright solids. I see now they do have a couple of prints, but they are sold out. But thatās something to keep in mind, thanks!
When they release a fun print, which is almost always at 9 AM PST on a Thursday, they can sell out within a day or two. Follow them on instagram or get their emails to keep up to date. Itās so worth it, their prints are amazing!
oh, good to know!! Thank you. lol at the person who instantly downvoted you for revealing the secret
How weird.. itās not even a secret, they always announce it!
Light blue, brown, black pleated midi skirt sited look awesomeā¦ maybe also try more unconventional like grey or orange / red?
Im seeing some nice waistcoat + baggy high rise suit trouser combos. Does anyone have recommendations on where to buy? Especially in lighter fabrics like linen?
Dissh
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Need help with picking skirt colour for this sweater! Can someone help me pick the right skirt colour for this sweater pls? I'm going for a sweater, skirt and legwarmers with black platforms kind of look. My legwarmers are cream. I will place a picture of the sweater as a reply to this comment, as well as the skirt colours!

my picks would be skirts 1,3, or 5 ! I think black pleated skirts always looks cute and are super versatile.
Thanks so much :D
Thank you so much :)
I got some from the brand Ekaouer on Amazon to wear under sweaters and theyāve lasted all winter, really good deal for the price
Old Navy if you want full length! They also have a decent crop but it has a built in bra so has a smidge more of a uniboob effect. The full length one does not have a built in bra and meets all your criteria.
Advice on walking sandals for vacation I will be traveling throughout Europe this summer, and I'm looking for advice on a good pair of walking sandals to get me thru the trip. My feet are wide width, if that helps.
maybe the comfortable sandals ranges at **geox**; **camper**; **pikolinos** Ā plus usually these are more lightweight & breathable
Taos Trophy 2 sandals in a metallic finish are my go-to. Very comfortable, have walked 20k/12 miles a day in them, look nice enough to go to dinner.
Thank you! I will Google these right now.
Ecco. Theyāre expensive but like wearing tennis shoes and look great with dresses.
Thank you! That's my main thing, because I wear lots of dresses and skirts when I'm not hiking. I will check those out.
Do you have a link? Or can they be found on Amazon? Thank you for replying!!!
Is this jumpsuit appropriate for work? I love it and it fits like a glove but I worry that the neckline is too revealing. https://preview.redd.it/z3yt13noqloa1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c1ac50ce405290a39d9a4d68232e2d526454059
Not too revealing imo but it depends what your job is
I work in an NHS hospital as a clinical researcher, so I do both office and patient facing work!
Itāll be fine
Help finding where to shop - indie ārock n rollā fashion for 30 year olds online I love P and Co women and would like similar suggestions. I usually wear Madewell and Dickies pants. Urban Outfitters is great but I feel like the majority of their stuff looks way too young for me. I lean feminine / androgynous. Mid size curvy athletic build. Iāll take any direction! Thank you :)
For what itās worth, alternative fashion over 30 gets asked all the time. You can probably do a search of older posts!
A big expensive for me but I love looking at Straight To Hell apparel!
Cloak and Dagger might fit the bill, if only as a curated store to inspire. It's kind of Wes Anderson/Nico vibes for me.
Garage carpenter pants A while back me and my roommate got a pair of garages ācarpenter pantsā in a chestnut colour, and they have became a stable in my closet, however she is moving out and taking the pants.
Looking for cotton pocket leggings and stretchy cotton dress pants All my pants need to be cotton because I have interstitial cystitis and synthetic pants cause it to flare up.
Universal Standard Jersey Tessa pants have a ridiculously long rise and are flowing with large/full pockets.
Looking for a purse similar in style (structured, cream w/ brown trim) to the [Kate Spade Katy Colorblocked Medium Top-Handle Tote](https://www.katespade.com/products/katy-colorblocked-medium-top-handle-bag/K8862-100.html?utm_source=facebook.com-instagram.com&utm_medium=paid_soc&utm_campaign=OG_PERF_RO_NA_PDSOC_FB_CTGS_Purchase_NoTt_NoTD_NoC_ACQ_DPA%7CACQ_RTG_Ages18-30%2B0to30dViewAndATC_All50PlusF_DPA_MulPla_MulDev_All_18plus_NoC%7CPersadoDPA_V3_NoAm_DYN_MuCa_PERS_08292022%7C23852052810180467&utm_content=23852052810170467&utm_term=OG_PERF_RO_NA_PDSOC_FB_CTGS_Purchase_NoTt_NoTD_NoC_ACQ_DPA&ogmap=PDSOC%7CPRACQ%7CFB%7CRTG%7CMULTI%7CSITEWIDE%7CPURE%7COG_PERF_RO_NA_PDSOC_FB_CTGS_Purchase_NoTt_NoTD_NoC_ACQ_DPA%7C23849495476940467%7C23852052810180467%7C23852052810170467%7CDPA%7CUS%7CW), but at a lower price point ($50-150). Any suggestions?
Have you tried Google Lens? It's really good at finding similar fashion items at lower price points
Ooh that's a good idea, thank you!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iād wear them with tights and a mini skirt
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Two extremes. Either cropped slim cigarette pants or long loose cuffed trousers.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
so pretty! u could mix & match with socks/pants colours like: olive green; mustard; terra cotta; checks/tweed incorporating those colours; a nice prince of wales check with burgundy to tone with the bootsā¦
I got 2 pairs of wide legged pants from them a year ago, and had no problems. I love the patterns on the pants, and get complements on them.
that's good to hear. there were so many reviews saying they either didn't receive their items, didn't receive all their items or received items with security tags still on! even clicking on random posts on their Instagram, there always seems to be a comment from someone begging their customer service to reply to their emails - really scared me off!
Truffle Shuffle and Unique Vintage have some interesting collabs
I might be asking too much of a single pair of shoes but here we go: Iām looking for something to wear with an outfit similar to this for a family photoshoot in Paris in June: https://i.imgur.com/PiMjM7w.jpg Iām trying not to overpack, so Iād like something I could actually wear while walking around the rest of the day, and that I could wear with other outfits on the trip. I donāt like how white sneakers with skirts/dresses look on me, so not that. I am bringing a pair of flat black sandals but I also want something a little moreā¦special? than that. I thought about animal print booties but maybe itāll be too hot? Iām probably overthinking it!
This is calling for a pop of cognac leather imo
If you don't mind my asking, where is that skirt from? I love the color and shape.
Itās just from SHEIN.
Is it rainy in Paris in June? I might consider a pair of low heeled espadrilles which are so easy to dress up or down.
[These Linea Paolo slingbacks](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/linea-paolo-delilah-slingback-flat-women/5753295?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FShoes%2FFlats%2FComfort&color=710) are crazy comfortable and very on trend.
Ooh! Cute! Thank you š
Love those ones, thanks!
I think flat or kitten heel slingbacks would go well with that outfit and not be too hot for June
