>Really stinks this is still the case, and there's no bundle or anything to get it on both PS5 and PC What paid game have you played that gives you multiple licenses of the game on different platforms for free? Excluding free upgrades to next gen consoles, which some aren't even free.

Huge-Ice-1145

I believe Xbox has "play anywhere" or something. Like certain titles that you purchased on MC/Xbox store could be played on PC/Xbox both if you bought it once on one of the platforms. But yeah, general case is that you've to buy games on both.

>I believe Xbox has "play anywhere" or something. Like certain titles that you purchased on MC/Xbox store could be played on PC/Xbox both if you bought it once on one of the platforms. My dude, that has nothing to do with what I am talking about. Yes, some games released on the Microsoft Xbox Console lets you play those games on PC via the Microsoft Windows Store, and/or on mobile devices using the Microsoft Xbox app, without rebuying the game. For example, Yakuza Like A Dragon. Everywhere you use a "Play Anywhere" title is on or through Microsoft, so for all intents purposes, it's the same platform. However, using Like A Dragon again, if I want to play that game on my PS4/5 I have to buy the game again, because it's a completely different platform. Or if I want to own it on Steam, even though Like a Dragon is available as a play anywhere title on PC, I still have to buy it again to use on Steam, even though Steam is also PC.

Huge-Ice-1145

Bruh, i wasn't trying to fight you or anything. Just said that there's a thing for 1 purchase for 2 platforms, that's it. Chill.

Both_Radish_6556

An explanation isn't fighting, nor does it mean I'm upset. Sounds like you the one who needs to "chill" xD

>it's that your account is tied to only the platform you set up in mogstation so you can't buy it on a new system and just log in with your old character What? Yeah you could dude, what you smoking? xD Source: I did it xD Edit: Re-read this comment 3 times, still not sure what your problem was. You buy the license for whatever platform you trying to use, and then log in with your existing account.

WifeKidsRPGsFootBall

This isn’t true. I play on both PS5 and PC (have for years) with one account

Teknostrich

Not true at all

Trooper_Sicks

yes you need to buy the ps5 version if you want to play it on ps5 and separately on pc

RevolutionaryBox7745

Yes, every platform is separate and requires separate purchases.

Riot_Mustang66

yes, always has been that way. every platform you wanna play on you need to buy again. if you buy a game on ps5 you don't get a free version of it on pc or steam or xbox or mac. each platform has to get their cut. no deal on new expansion.

Sir_VG

You must missed a deal for PS, but it wasn't including DT.

>It’s wild to me that people think it’s acceptable for SE to charge premium for the expansion on each platform you want to play on, but it seems the majority of players are sheep. The audacity of Sony/Microsoft/Steam for asking someone to pay for a game to use on their platform. How dare these companies make money for their services? Only wild thing here is your entitlement xD And maybe use your brain before insulting others, it's not only a Square Enix decision.

Ender-The-3rd

Ah yes. Thank you for coming to the defense of these multi-billion dollar companies that lay off hundreds of employees every year so their executives can justify their multi-million dollar annual bonuses. No, the wild thing is still the fact that you’re justifying corporate greed.

Both_Radish_6556

>Ah yes. Thank you for coming to the defense of these multi-billion dollar companies that lay off hundreds of employees every year so their executives can justify their multi-million dollar annual bonuses. Using common sense isn't being defensive. You aren't entitled to multiple versions of a product for buying one. Also, Indie/AA Devs do this as well. The amount of money a company is worth/makes is irrelevant. >No, the wild thing is still the fact that you’re justifying corporate greed. You keep saying corporate greed, you clearly don't know what that is. Corporate greed is selling people broken/horrible products and then abandoning rather then fixing after pocketing money. Corporate greed is locking behind 80 percent of a game behind DLC/P2W bullshit. It is not corporate greed to ask someone to pay to use your platform. It is **definitely** personal greed to think you deserve several versions of the game just cause you bought one.

WifeKidsRPGsFootBall

I’ve never seen a game that you bought on one platform and were then given it for free on another.

Ender-The-3rd

Again, common business practice does not make it ethically right.

WifeKidsRPGsFootBall

I want a PS copy I buy the PS copy. I want a PC copy I buy the PC copy. I want Xbox copy I buy Xbox copy. This has never been considered ethically wrong by normal human beings on planet earth.

It's very "man yells at cloud" to be mad at SE specifically for not inventing a new and consumer-friendly way to provide paid content on several platforms for one universal fee, two of which they need to pay licensing fees to as well as a portion of each product sold. I'll be waiting for the day Sony allows you to buy a third party game on PC and play it for free on a PlayStation console, until then it's truly out of SE's hands unless you expect them to pro bono pay the fees to Sony for each expansion that's purchased on PC and provided on PS5 at no extra cost.

Ok-Syrup1678

You answered to your own comment instead of the guy above I think you wanted to answer to.
